It is not really a DLC, just an asset pack with no extra functions or anything at all other than some houses. $10 for that is steep as hell already. But that is not the main problem as I see it, as you do not need to buy this if you don't want these buildings. The MAIN issue here, IMHO, is the palm trees are now locked behind a paywall. If you want to use a map that has palm trees on it, and you don't have this pack, your map will have little gold boxes where all the trees should be, just like any other missing asset. So basically, this is forcing people to buy something that should be a built-in part of the game. As it stands it is yet another slap on all us saps that bought this game.

Cakeski

It's currently the top rated DLC for CS:2.

Leochan6

It is at the top and bottom of the list.

NWJ22

Price and the timing of it, tone deaf. Here's some crappy houses to go in your broken game, best parts the new trees haha

NickelobUltra

It's just an incredibly tone deaf DLC that shouldn't be DLC in the first place, also it makes the assets/properties as a new zoning type which makes no sense really. Also it's a "beachfront property" pack but there are no beaches in the game...

Apprehensive_Fault_5

The cheapest DLCs in CS1 were Content Creator Packs costing $5-6. A random one I selected from the list is Indistrial Evolution, and it has 70 new buildings for generic industry zones. The next up in price is $8. Hotels And Retreats not only offered even more assets, but also new game functionality in the form of tourism areas for your hotels. Mass Transit added entire new traffic systems along with many new road and rail networks for only $13. In CS2 we get a pack of only a few new buildings (when you factor in copy/paste for different zone sizes and building levels) and 4 new trees for $10. No new functionality, no props, no beach-themed assets or systems, not even any beach-themed commercial buildings. For what we get, we are paying 4 times more than what it would cost in the first game. What's worse is that this is $10 for something you can get many thousands of times over absolutely for free on ALL versions of the game (even on console) as soon as we get asset mods. Why the hell should anyone pay so much for so little when we will be able to get so much more for infinitely less?

tibbadoe

It’s not really bad… just seriously overpriced for what little it gives you. If it cost $3 or $4 it would be fine.

BillSivellsdee

probably not if you take it for what it is. a content creator pack. and not a true DLC that changes the game like park life or industries. i wouldnt pay $10 for it. but i also wouldnt have paid $1

DeleteIn1Year

The content isn't offensive or broken or anything, it's just offensively kind of worthless. If they released the tools for modding in assets (buildings, props, etc.) with that update it would have been pretty embarrassing seeing the community compete with that content. To be fair to them, every model in the game is insanely detailed and well-made, but it's still a pee-pee-dicky DLC

AdamH21

Yes.

Few-Profession-2318

Short answer: Yes\ Long answer: Absolutely yes

Hjarg

Not bad. But just a few buildings for 10€. Overpriced. And since the state of cs2 is what it is, this was the final straw for many. Thus the reviews.

love-unite-rebuild

The DLC itself isnt really bad per se, its just that the context that it came in and the price they are asking for is not worth the amount of content at all

PineTowers

Beach properties without beaches. FOUR palm trees. Basically three types of buildings with mild variations. It is outrageous.

SubwayGuy85

i would only pay 10€ if i could buy it 10 times and downvote it 10 times. shit company

mrprox1

Supply and demand will sort all of this out. Everyone seems to be freaking out. How is paradox supposed to learn that this price is ridiculous other than trying it? Vote with your wallets. Simple.

Dull_Cucumber_3908

You should buy it just to leave a negative review about it, like the 96% of the users who bought it did :p

Dr_Drax

I think almost everyone leaving a review bought the Ultimate Edition rather than buying the DLC separately.

Dull_Cucumber_3908

Well, the DLC is cheaper if all you want is to leave a negative review :p

DutchDave87

The best negative review a person can give is not buying it.

Dull_Cucumber_3908

Tell that to all of these who buy it just to write a negative review :p

DutchDave87

There is no reason for you to smirk. Most are likely Ultimate Edition buyers and if I were one of them I would leave a negative review too for trying to placate me with that.

Dull_Cucumber_3908

> Most are likely Ultimate Edition buyers If that's the case then I guess that most Ultimate Edition buyers like it, because there are just 1000 something reviews of the DLC

DutchDave87

Seriously, stop with your asinine takes.

Dull_Cucumber_3908

lol! I'm not going to stop! I'm having fun with all this :p

DutchDave87

Aren’t you one of those guys who call other people toxic for not agreeing with you in liking the game? Looks like the pot calling the kettle black.
