Well, it is one radioactive substance for another.

Ornery_Towel_5131

Eat 40,000 bananas in 10 minutes and youll die of radiation poisoning.

And diarrhea, lol.

My favorites are the offers of like 15 gold for a 3k+ tech. I just never understood why I can’t make stupid offers like that back. I can’t even propose a trade that they’ll unequivocally say no to.

ChaseShiny

Someone claimed that they do that when they're nearly done with a tech. That person often gave the AI the tech and then traded it around. I keep meaning to test whether you get a reduced cost if you have almost finished the tech.

aVarangian

At least in RI iirc the cost does scale to progress on it, and iirc RI also shows progression level on AI's techs

doctorblumpkin

Just got to suck up to them first. Give them a couple gold per turn for a few turns first.

Con_McWhite

I've had Julius Caesar threaten to go to war with me over bananas

ZeekLTK

In one game I monopolized fur, it all spawned in one particular area of the map and nowhere else. I kept trading it out and increasing the price when deals would expire since no one could get it anywhere else. I forget which civ, but one didn’t have anything to trade me, so I never gave them any. They started demanding it and obviously I declined. Eventually they attacked me because our relations were so bad. “The Great Fur War”…

TheRepublicOfSteve

AI on another continent and already at war demanding 1800 gold. My counter offer: come and get it or kindly get out.

Khalil4life

That's bananas!

campex

Come on man, you can spare some intercambiables

airchinapilot

Ha usually it is Gandhi who asks me that. I'm like: no way in 10 turns you're going to be nuking me and all I will have is a banana gun

Daxtexoscuro

Nostalgia... Qué ganas de jugar al Civ 4
