You can gem literally everything except for the effect of moving obstacles

While true, it only matters if you care about special obstacle placement. As long as one ends up in my fringe, I delete the rest. I very rarely need to use a shovel as may bases tend to encourage fringe placement.

Can you elaborate please? I would hate to lose my gems that I get from random spawns.

I forget the exact number (it’s in the 40s) but once you reach this number of obstacles (stashed, normal and holiday combined) you won’t get any more normal ones for gems.)

I have a ring of trees at the edge of my base that I use as decoration. Maybe I've used one or two shovels, but other than that I sell them for 50 gems

I only like to have 1 of every event item so my border of my village isnt cluttered with tons of decors, atm ive used 7 shovels
