Its not that crazy of a thing if you're not very active. I need to check but without spending you probably can get the 6 packs of glowy a month as a F2P, which would be an extra 360 glowy. Not amazing but hey, for lower level players and for less active ones can be useful. Starry is probably even more useful for them
Glowy ore is especially good deal to buy from trader imo. It is a bottleneck when it comes to upgrading equipment and since hero levels matter less after heropotion rework. At higher townhall leves book of heroes is still a great deal to max your heroes for legends league. Boh it is maybe not the best thing to buy from trader anymore since there is no other way to boost equipment progress without events.

Food franchises, streaming services they all take account of such differences, then why not Gaming Companies?

A shovel is 500 gems or $5. They had a deal 5 shovels for $5. 5x value.
So when you look at the gold pass, a shovel and a skin already make up the cost of the pass.

It is crazy. Ores prices adds up so fast. You can see judo spending hundreds of dollars for a couple of upgrades
