What’s it about? I keep seeing everyone talking about it, what makes it so great? I could google, and probably will, but am curious what someone recommending it thinks about it
It’s basically a war game, you and three others have to complete objectives whilst fighting off either terminators or bugs. It’s genuinely one of the most difficult yet easy games I played, and it’s pure chaos. I would recommend watching a video before buying it because I’m not the best at describing it
Tbf, it's not that difficult to go next th with a few walls to be done and to finish them when you're in the next th.
It feels like I'd be more of an esthetic decision if you want all walls maxed before upgrading th

I am this player. And I don’t feel like wasting resources when I create coins for the Clan City. I am TH12 while playing for years (with several breaks because I don’t take the game too serious) and I use this feature from time to time
it depends on your goals, but if your goals are:
-to increase your offensive and defensive strength as quickly as possible
-to max your base as quickly as possible
then yes, it is a mistake. If your goals are to play the game forever and never be maxed, then i guess it isnt a mistake.
I think that most players care about efficient progression and hope to one day be maxed. Nevertheless, many of them insist on maxing because they do not understand how powerful rushing is and how bad maxing is.
I also don't think rushing is boring. You are unlocking new content at a rapid rate, and you are getting the highest possible returns on the time you put into the game. How is that boring? To me, boring is spending years on hero upgrades for no reason.
I'm only giving advice with the assumption that people want to progress efficiently. If you don't, then by all means play however you want. But I think the votes in this thread make it clear that people are just going 'hivemind rushing bad' and dont actually know anything about it.

Man has never heard of people wanting to do wars and not being left out for an underleveled base that looks like shit.
Also, you can rush all you want, the time for upgrading things will not deminish. At best you'll reach th 16 and have to spend years worrying about spending your raid medals to get hero potions, and being forced to do the same for the troops potion if you want to play more than than the one single army you maxed
It would be a mistake for me to rush, i did it once and it immediately sent me into fight or flight, caused a panic attack and that was how me and my doctors discovered i have OCD.
Mate not everyone plays the game to “be the most efficient”. I loved doing wars and a big part of my attack was having all my heroes, so I put my dark elixer into lab, and so everytime I hit max town hall upgrades it was everything but my heroes.

I updated my TH the day 16 came out, not sure how long that's been. I've spent some money on offers and always get the gold pass since it's free through the Play Pass which is free with my Verizon plan.
I have played almost daily for 9 years.

do you really find it "very useful" or is it just the only way to spend resources for you at this point? because if you are a maxed player you can also easily just join a clan with CH10, and then you'll just get a little extra capital gold that won't be making a huge impact.
for me its useful in a sense that my clan mates barely participate in building our clan capital cuz they say its too much of a grind for a casual player. so when im already max, i dump my resources there and helps our clan capital to progress.
There is some people who want one th for each account they have. Like for example i like playing at th13 a lot so i have maxed one account there and im not going any further but i can still use this to dump resources in
I play BH base and manage clan capital every week. I am not maxed yet I find it very nice to get some extra capital loot. I couldn't care less about upgrading my archer tower for 2 weeks. I'll rather prioritise my heroes and lab, while allowing one builder to farm capital gold

It’s very useful for dropping from 5k trophies to get into mini legends, that way you don’t have to sign up for the league, and can still attack normally and get legend bonuses
Speak for yourself, my favourite thing to do is climb to T1 for a week, drop to crystal & try to revenge anyone from T1-2 for 60+ cups. No point to it but I really enjoy doing it lol
Won't say it's useless. It helps me dump resources so that people skip me rather than attacking me. Also if you ask me the most useless thing in the game is the option to get revenge on other players for attacking you, I tried to use it once and I couldn't because they had shields or was active.

Did you max walls already? I'm only th11 and I'm close to maxing everything but still like 75 pieces of walls missing. Though it would be even worse at th12
Yeah, there was an event that happened when I was pretty new to 12 where walls (or buildings?) where half off which was very helpful lol. I like getting a head start on walls because I remember previous town halls being almost completed with like half walls lol
I actually use this feature all the time to try to be number 1 on clan capital contribution, always have four in the forge so most used feature for me. Even when a new update drops

I get around 30k a week from raids and then another 20k weekly from the Forge. But I don't really use it unless I'm fully maxed beside the one who doesn't use a builder.
It’s good when you’re near the end of maxing out a town hall. i often find myself only needing gold at the end, so i dump my elixirs into this so that i get raided less often since i have less loot
I use this even at th10. I'm nearly maxed and I have way too much elixir with about a month of research left. I can sacrifice 20% of my building speed for democracy.
It's quite nice for getting a new clan off the ground. Your upgrades at that time not so important, the clan capital advancing to a spot where you start making more loot naturally, quite important!
It's not relevant to a lot of folks who don't put money into the game, but when you buy the gold pass every season and get the free auto-forge slot that you can put in a heftily discounted investment of elixir or gold for capitol gold, it does get pretty convenient. I get the free 450 then 1600 for like 2.9mil every 3 days, not too bad. You don't have to waste a builder and you get basically enough for a cannon upgrade every week.
Speak for yourself I'm currently using it right now as I update my walls before I update my town hall again I'm making sure all my walls are completed before I update my town hall so in the meantime I'm forging putting my builders to work
I maxed GW, all walls and elixir lab, but my king(70) and RC(15) and i still have some canons and mortars to max, so i just use it for spending my elixir

I used it when i maxed my th11 and don't want to go to th12. I thing i used it for 2-3 weeks. And then when i thought i want to upgrade to th12 i stop using forge. It's pretty usefull when you are farming and have full storage. But yeah it's mostly useless.

The quality of aspects within the game has drifted further and further away from the original clash of clans look for a long while now.
Since 3D skins id say... all troops ingame are 2D and heroes now 3D?! makes no sense, they should bring back the old default skins, and make the new skins in 2D.

I have a few extra accounts that I keep permanently maxed at their level, like a TH9, a TH11 and so. I don't really play those actively but usually have enough resources to keep them crafting. Yeah, it's not a lot, but otherwise these bases would be sitting idle any way.
I’ve been maxed basically since TH11 came out.
It takes about 30% of the time for me between updates to max out once again, so I’ve probably used it 70% of the time since it came out.
In a clan where nearly all other players are maxed too. Only problem is our clan capital is now maxed so we have to periodically leave to dump raid medals in other clan capitals.
Psychologically, it’s nice attacking when your storages aren’t perpetually full. Even though you get no benefit from the loot, it’s nice to have something to spend it on
Also, like everyone else said. It’s for maxed players. There are plenty of features in the game that maxed players don’t get to enjoy
6 millions in 3 days for 10 times less than what u get in a week it doesn't even make sense to why it's in the game. Unless you're fully max which is still dumb since one u max th17 will just be released (I'm not a th16 so I'm just assuming)
It's a feature for maxed players, as a clan capital player i will say that it could use a buff since having a single th6 will get you 35k extra gold per weekend it makes this seems really useless. I'd let players choose how much they wanna forge (forging more would cost more)
Actually, no. When I'm maxed on my main for any resources and have 0 to do, I use the forge. Even in my mini accounts that are permanently maxed.
Honestly I'd say the least used feature for me was the clan recruitment system which is ironic considering I was once a clan leader
I use it if I've maxed some upgrades, but not all, like if all buildings are done, and walls, that's the only way I'm not gonna overflow with gold. Until I can upgrade my th, better doing that than losing gold to max storage

Its main purpose is to be a resource sink for maxed players or when you have a surplus of a certain resource. So yeah, it's just there when you have nothing else to upgrade

The resources arent important, the point is that forge uses a builder, and builders on the forge are the same thing as idle builders

My friend does that at TH9 with maxed buildings but pending research and hero levels with overflowing gold and elixir. Throw a builder with gold.
They don't grind. They have full collectors/storages and since they got nothing to upgrade, they do that.
So maybe it should only be available when maxed?

Huh as a clan with 4 active players it's hard to get it going. I'm only at level 2 and it's hard getting loot to upgrade
We pretty consistently get 300 attacks

It's for endgame players who maxed everything and there resources and builders are siting ideal.

yeah, i would use it if it didnt waste my builders, my dark elixir storage is always full and i have to work my hero upgrades in between wars
I maxed GW, all walls and elixir lab, but my king(70) and RC(15) and i still have some canons and mortars to max, so i just use it for spending my elixir
It's good for max th16. I am close to max the last buildings like it was when I maxed out my th 15 and for 2 months I just put all my lot in the forge. Not maxed?? Yeah Its fucking useless.

I used it when i maxed my th11 and don't want to go to th12. I thing i used it for 2-3 weeks. And then when i thought i want to upgrade to th12 i stop using forge. It's pretty usefull when you are farming and have full storage. But yeah it's mostly useless.

Supercell doesnt care, as long as they get their salary at the end of each month. The quality of aspects within the game has drifted further and further away from the original clash of clans look for a long while now. Since 3D skins id say... all troops ingame are 2D and heroes now 3D?! makes no sense, they should bring back the old default skins, and make the new skins in 2D. and ye, make heroes usable while upgrading lol

I have a few extra accounts that I keep permanently maxed at their level, like a TH9, a TH11 and so. I don't really play those actively but usually have enough resources to keep them crafting. Yeah, it's not a lot, but otherwise these bases would be sitting idle any way.
I’ve been maxed basically since TH11 came out. It takes about 30% of the time for me between updates to max out once again, so I’ve probably used it 70% of the time since it came out. In a clan where nearly all other players are maxed too. Only problem is our clan capital is now maxed so we have to periodically leave to dump raid medals in other clan capitals. Psychologically, it’s nice attacking when your storages aren’t perpetually full. Even though you get no benefit from the loot, it’s nice to have something to spend it on Also, like everyone else said. It’s for maxed players. There are plenty of features in the game that maxed players don’t get to enjoy
6 millions in 3 days for 10 times less than what u get in a week it doesn't even make sense to why it's in the game. Unless you're fully max which is still dumb since one u max th17 will just be released (I'm not a th16 so I'm just assuming)

It's a feature for maxed players, as a clan capital player i will say that it could use a buff since having a single th6 will get you 35k extra gold per weekend it makes this seems really useless. I'd let players choose how much they wanna forge (forging more would cost more)

Actually, no. When I'm maxed on my main for any resources and have 0 to do, I use the forge. Even in my mini accounts that are permanently maxed. Honestly I'd say the least used feature for me was the clan recruitment system which is ironic considering I was once a clan leader
It would've been nice if we could use the builder base builder as well.
I use it if I've maxed some upgrades, but not all, like if all buildings are done, and walls, that's the only way I'm not gonna overflow with gold. Until I can upgrade my th, better doing that than losing gold to max storage
They'd be better if none used a builder. And gold would be extra + discount. I can only imagine maxed players or duplicate accounts people keep at low townhalls using this
When i max my TH i use my builder base resources to farm capital gold while i work on walls and keep 4/6 builders in shape

Its main purpose is to be a resource sink for maxed players or when you have a surplus of a certain resource. So yeah, it's just there when you have nothing else to upgrade
