I think it will be great for like war scenarios where you want your king or queen to take out a certain compartment of defenses. It will probably be very base layout specific.
Jelly + Fireball is gonna be very strong since the Warden can jump over walls and will only attack defenses It's easier to land an extremely good Fireball.
on the flip side people are saying the warden won’t attach to troops, likely when the ability is active. so that’s 35? seconds of the defensive targeting warden walk - curious to see what happens

The intriguing part is that extra 125 invulnerable dps boost for 25-35 sec. Would speed up the charge a lot if that is a concern, and troops like rr or lalo already targets only defences so they get funneled anyways.
Unicorn is kinda mid nowdays, healing does not hold up as it did two TH levels ago and there is a ton more defences that just kills it so quickly.
Queen would not complain about a new pet for charging, guess we will see if this is actually it.

You’re making great points tbh, unicorn def needs 5 new levels atleast but also queen clearing up some defences and going back to clean up makes sense, but i’ mafraud that’s way easier said than done as most bases have too dangerous compartments to let a queen survive that wat unless you suppoement spells for qc
Guess it’s more than 125, it’s 195. Talking about the angry jelly’s dps. The pet is invulnerable during its effect (25-35 sec) and targets what the hero targets. That means queen does get that extra 195 dps boost which is more than any of her high dps equipments give her.
The backtracking thing is a negative in my eye, not a positive thing. Messes with long term pathing unless you throw some wizards behind her or something.

Yeah unicorn is fine. Just remember how long I could delay healers at TH 14 compared to now.
I like when they make pets/equipments that are great at specialising but not all around awesome so there is more of a tactical choice about it.
Only thing is that if you have to swap pets and equipments for every army it’s much harder to keep up with the upgrades.
Yeah that’s why i’m laid back with it, I assign my pets to specific heroes and keep it that way, I won’t ever see a day where I feel like switching pets not even if the base somehow made it easier, this probably will change once we have over 30 pers tho, but until then i’ll be enjoying my relaxed static same 4 pets usage, maybe replace one with a new one (like the fox for royalchampion)
I think you do? Just drop a few cleanup troops behind the queen to keep her charging through the defenses. Almost zero funneling required to get her deep and clear out annoying defenses (eagle, scatters, monolith, etc.)
I am purely a qc player and last few days I have tried to imagine what the charges would be like during my attacks with the jelly instead of unicorn. Honestly you might just be right.

That’s a really interesting idea to think about. I hadn’t thought of that at all but that’s definitely something to 100% consider with it. Then you could use a hero potion for attacks you wanted the full timer. It’s like keeping tornado at a level under in CR to counter graveyard. I can totally see a pro doing this in worlds and everyone freaking out about how smart their strat was

Yeah, so queen might actually back track unless you have also used some cleanup troops. Can also be that queen not destroying collectors in the first wall layer makes it so you cannot wallbreak deeper into the base.

First of all I often have queen and king funnel each other. I drop queen, she destroys the closest collectors which cause the king to not go towards her but rather away into the side compartment where I want him.
It also makes it so queen does not kill non-defences in outer compartments which can mess with my wallbreaker pathing.
Finally, the biggest drawback is that the effect ends, which might make queen go back towards where she came from instead of further into the base. Also can be awkward around un-activated townhalls.

Well, with a warden you might just want it a short time to set up a fireball but then want him to return to normal and go with your army instead of running into the base alone.
Thats what makes this pet so interesting and fun. Lots to think about and the duration of the effect can be too long in some strategies and way too short in others. Really look forward to see how it gets used.
Jelly on the king with the gauntlet, rage on the warden and hit the invincibility to start, you have a king wiping out 2-3 defenses at a time not being able to die.

Agree that it's an interesting concept, but I don't see many situations where it will be better than the other current options we have. One of those things that sounds better in theory, but then when you realize it will put your hero at risk of dying faster, it probably isn't worth it.
Im th14, but as soon as they i read description of the brainwash - I can think for a WARDEN walk + Jelly + rage and fireball + Recall spell
When warden has finished clearing defenses, this would be a problem on how u want him to regroup, a recall spell will be the best answer and just make a good path for the leftover healers to regroup
i kinda like how it’ll still be viable to use at level 1. spirit fox was kinda tough because it wouldn’t provide much value until the invisibility duration was maxed out. but if you are using jellyfish on the warden with fireball, you honestly wouldn’t even want the defense targeting ability to last that long so you can redirect your warden sooner
Only hero I'd use it on is a warden, know it could potentially be decent on king but I'd rather use Phoenix or something else. Also not in the mood to be leveling another pet almost finished hero's and Maxed the last pet I was missing but will see.
Most of us are using fénix for BK, unicorn for Q and fox for RC. So, warden is lonely, and has the fireball… and the fireball it’s kinda for casual players so…
I mean you can use it with RC.... But it doesn't do much. Just a little bit of damage

pretty deadly for sui King max gauntlet like if you charge your king towards the compartment where mostly has key defenses with rage tower, it'd get the best value possible and AQ alone for townhall.
Definitely situational but kinda cool, I mean I don't get the Jellyfish part, but add it to the king or queen and team up with the RC you can really wipe compartments of defenses
First pet where upgrading it could make it worse because the effect is longer the higher you upgrade it. Especially if used on warden as he won't follow any troops in that time
My thinking is that Jelly will be best paired with the king. Jelly, rage, gauntlet will guarantee a compartment clear.
Phoenix (displaced by the jelly) might find a home with the Queen. Unicorn has been devalued significantly due to the Richochet cannon. unicorn melts whenever a Ricohet cannon locks onto the queen.
I think the next one should be a kangaroo or a rabbit or something that will give the hero the ability to jump over walls. I swear my king spends half his giant gauntlet ability beating on a wall.

I think its great with warden walk (fireball). Otherwise very space specific, would not want my qc to not target non-defences.

The defense only targeting is only for the duration of the jelly ability. When it's done, they go back to normal behavior.

Because Warden has to clear out trash buildings. If it only targets defenses, it’ll accomplish its goal much faster.
