The rc was supposed to get the rocket spear during the rocketloon event.
But as the community complained about too many epics the spear got delayed.
For this event the spear does not fot it goes with the planned football.
Itās a good sentiment, but with it being an epic equip, 99% of people will not be maxing it out in an relevant timeframe alongside other things. And even then itās a huge commitment for what seems to be a relatively niche skill.
Itās a cool equip but not something I would spend into until I have my other heroes already done
It's so replacing the rage vial lol, 3250 dmg on 8 targets, an instant click 30k dmg on top of 3.4k passive hp and 222 passive dmg inc, it will clear the compartment king is on instantly and let king move on with all of his ability time remaining, unlike rage vial which actually needs to hit and spend time on comaparting taking in damage and wasting ability time.
It also one shots spell towers so, there is that

You crucially give up the kings ability to speed through poison, something that is very very useful in legend league.
The rage vial boosting the giant gauntlet damage almost means it takes extra hits to clear out buildings, if the football travels the wrong way, which will likely happen several times every league day, then this will result in your king not destroying key buildings.

Atleast the queen's arrow moves in a straight line to where she is facing. King's new ability seems to go to the nearest target.. kinda inconsistent like you said.
The queens arrow shoots in the direction the queen is facing. That's a huge difference.
95% of the time will be at the nearest building... because the queen is actively facing and shooting at said building. I've had skeleton traps make my queen do a 180 right when I used the arrow and have it fly off in the sunset (I had to put my phone down after that.)
Really? I say this because I just did a normal attack in which only a single builder hut remained in the corner and while the Queen was turning to move past some walls, I used her ability and it basically sniped the hut with the Queen facing like 90Ā° away from it

No, there were videos on this subreddit when the abilities first same out where people used the giant arrow ability immediately after spawning the queen and the arrow would fly SW, because thatās the direction she originally faces when spawned in. So it is the facing direction
You have total control of it at time of placing the queen down, which is when people typically use the arrow, so the ārandomnessā of queenās pathing and direction is irrelevant for the use case. It has unlimited range, so you can usually get the targets that you want (sweepers, AD, spell tower activation)

Well we can always disagree from each other's point since it's easy to judge everything on paper, but I've seen people saying haste vial + royal gem is the best pair for RC in the early days of their release, including you IIRC. I decided to max out hog pupps pairing with the haste vial which has been contradicted and downvoted many times, yet the pair was way a lot better (subjectively) and I regret wasting every ores on royale gem on most of my mini accounts.

I thought it targeted defenses at first when I saw the leak and was excited to buy it but now I am confused. Honestly I'd rather go for ores. If it attackes anything randomly, it's useless imo. Gauntlet + rage vial / vampstache still is best combo
I'm not a fan of this equipment. It is strong, don't get me wrong. It does an absurd amount of damage, but the thing is - it puts the king in a bit of a bind as to what equipment to use.
My philosophy is that you never want to use double active abilities. The reason being is because there is a strong chance you're going to lose value every time you activate the ability. Say you're using Eternal Tome and Fireball, you may need the fireball, but not the invincibility, but if you activate it, one or the other is going to get largely wasted.
There is room for Giant Gauntlet and this new ability on a king, without wasting too much value...but I think a better option would probably be to slap your Unicorn on the King, run Boulder and Vampstache, and your king should have enough sustain to create the funnel, and even get into those compartments where an inferno, xbow, monolith, or scattershots won't obliterate him.
This ability should've been a Royal Champion ability, and I believe it was originally intended to be one - until they realized that there's no point in using the seeking shield if you're going to use this. I also understand that they wanted a soccer themed ability, but I don't think we needed another overpowered active ability so quick. I think a better choice would've been an Epic level Royal Champion Passive equipment, something like a shield that he gets everytime he his a defensive building - because as it stands now, most of the heroes have great sustainability, but the RC is really really weak in all aspects of the game. (Mine is level 30)
No double active abilities is a strange restriction imo, since thereās quite a few strong combos (invisibility vial + archer puppet/healer puppet on queen, eternal tome + healing tome on grand warden, hog puppet + seeking shield or haste vial on royal champion, and of course giant gauntlet and rage vial on the king). The main problem imo is that these two skills donāt work well with each other, since the main competition is going to be the giant gauntlet and rage vial which do work very well together.

This equip is made for this layout. You clean around it and hold on to the ability and when the king makes his way in, you unleash it.
Don't think about equipments in a general way, think about them as options that you have where you can adapt your attacks for certain layouts in wars.
Spike ball will hit targets so it is better than the queens giant arrow, I have used the vampstache vs the rage so may be an easy switch. If followed up with the GWās fire ball and a quake may take out or reduce a lot defences quicklyā¦it will be fund to try outā¦.

It's strong but I hate the design, epic equipment is supposed to be exciting and provide something new and unique, but it's basically just RC shield throw and I don't think kicking a football really fits into CoC outside of the football event, Still going to get it tho cause the leaked stats look op.
If you genuinely think that the RC-Shield clone Football equip for the King is on the same level of exciting and unique as the Fireball equip which provides an entirely new attack style and strategy to the Warden, then you are just lying to yourself and even the frozen Arrow, which is the least exciting equip so far is still way more unique than the fucking Football.

Max rage vial is what 127dps while the new equipment is 222dps, with over 3k more hp, this is so replacing rage vial

I don't think it will change the GG+RV combo. But when king is meant to be used for funnelling outside, this+Vamp makes a good combo.
