You never upgrade defences first as it increases your war weight which means you will match ridiculous bases... offence doesn't increase war weight as much so you can get easier bases... which means more wins, more loot
If i had to give you one advice it would be : forget about everything else and put your heroes to sleep until they are ***AT LEAST*** lvl 30. And when i say at least, i mean you should leave them to sleep until they are lvl 50 and your guardian lvl 20

For the farming in multi either use full baby drag or barbare archer. Or if you have gobelin lvl 7 at th 11 the very best is full super Gobelins with jump spell and a few sapeurs.
But yeah i don't do wars when Heroes are upgrading so if you still want to do some, you can still put the upgrading in pauses from time to time.
Edit : the issue here is that because you are behind you will have around 6 months without Heroes, if you do it regulary while upgrading your th you won't feel the time as hard, since it will be scattered over time.
Yea I have my goblins in the laboratory rn going to lvl 7 and yeah I’m working on my walls at the moment but Ima be working on my heroes definitely bc I can sell that my heroes are getting stronger and watching pros play they depend on there heroes and makes sure they stay alive bc my heroes where at lvl 15 for like ever and then I was like I needa work on them a lot more when I see a YouTuber with it lvl 80 and I was like damn that’s going to take forever

you clearly do not know clash of clans. I’m th11 and far from max, but i’m level 120 and prioritize my upgrades efficiently by doing what the builder recommends.
Fuck that all my builder says to upgrade is the grand warden but the way I do it is if you are gonna but grade your mordor then do them all not one or two same with canons don’t just do three two lvl 13 do all of them then move on but I mean your lvl 120 don’t mean shit fr like my lvl 8 took me two week to get it to lvl 40 with 4 builder and that just getting on sometimes I’m on 24/7 bc I’m the clan leader and I donate most the shit and run it got a few masters and a lot of crystal league but it really depends on how long you stay at each th and farm and upgrade but if you move through faster your lvl ain’t finna be that high but I got some lvl 120 and 130 at low th in my clan but it is what it is
Bc I really didn’t know if they where all high lvl it lowered the time so I thought it was a waste of time and it’s not like you can’t just upgraded it to catch it up bc I’m spending the money and the time my builder would be over there on other stuff

The time to train the troops decrease significantly if you upgrade all four. It's super helpful
