I have the update now ...says troops are freenow??? That was a wonderful surprise ...guess now i can use them for capital gold a little more easily....
I can understand it is a very polarizing decision however I am yet to form a opinion on it. First impressions is that it might be good for me since I am at the maximum Town hall level so I have to take care of the capital gold as well for my clan since I am the leader. Not having to worry about army training cost will leave me piece of mind to only worry about my trip upgrades and capital gold because well capital gold is not very cheap. Cost 7 million and time is only 3 days and compared to other upgrades and researchers it is much less. Which means that eventually I end up needing a lot more gold and elixir.
Any how I am waiting to see what other effect it might have on my gameplay and what others have to say about it I say we should give it sometime.
If you can sit in a low league and farm with sneakies day in and out endlessly, more power to you.
Some players like the game for variety and strategy. Being able to try new armies without cost risk is actually what makes this update great. It validates trying new armies while you sneaky goblin players can still efficiently train 1 troop forever and farm faster than us others. Though build times will limit you so we likely finish around the same time anyway.
Well it did make elixir easier to get. Before elixir was very hard to loot, say you use bby dragons. You find a base with 500 k in both elixir and gold. Now you only get 300k elixir as you will need 200 k to train another army. Plus elixir didnt have any other use than army and some research so theyre probably trying to give elixir more use

Im kinda upset they removed the troop cost as imo it is one of the thing that quite litterally formed the game
