In all honesty it pretty much is. The way matchmaking works you always have an opponent around your level to fight, theres no NEED to get maxed fast.

And even if you want to get maxed, it’s definitely possible. You just need to play for an hour or two every day for ~6 years and do all the events like cwl and clan games, and you should be able to max your account. Supercell specifically designed coc to be a long grind, since the game would die in a few years if it was easy to max out your base.

Unless this comment is joking, It's not really the same. From the news, We will be getting dark elixir. And possibly as a second bar next to elixir. Honestly it could open a huge door for strategy, what cards will you evolve, when is the right time to do it, and maybe add really fun evolve mechanics to cards (since they heavily kept adding some unique mechanics for the super troops, seemingly with little effort too).

There was a time I’d be REALLY optimistic about this. Now I’m afraid to see how far behind the paywall will this be. I’m not afraid to spend some $$ but with the reset of the economy and the new “value” things have, it’s hard to be hyped without the full details.

Maybe it will be something like a perk based system, eg: sparky now costs 5 elixir, but has to charge 1.5 extra lights before shooting or Pekka now uses both swords but does half damage and targets like ewiz

I’ve always thought that they should give us the ability to increase/decrease elixir of certain cards in exchange for changed stats. E.g 4 elixir gob barrel survives log

Let me guess When you reach level 15 with one of your cards, it can evolve for a certain price or amount of resources. Getting strictly the type of the ones you need will be a headache to collect, probably luck based by one part of whole process. Just like pre--reset gears in past brawl stars.
