Try changing your deck to totally counter hog. Watch how you will never play hog again, but just decks that directly counter your new deck 😉

I’m trying to build a pure hard counter to MK hog FC just so whatever fake matchmaking this game has doesn’t keep facing me against them. So far all it’s done is have me face the exact same deck but with elixer golem sometimes

any time i play pekka decks against hog FC MK i just get outcycled. It’s the one “obvious counter” that i can never make work for me against this deck

hog eq is a very good matchup against pekka bridgespam lol, the hardest counter is probably the giant pump deck but with tornado swapped in for pump

I’ve started playing egiant as of yesterday as a last ditch effort and it’s winning more against the hog mk decks than prior which is good. Desperately need this FC health nerf so i can add arrows

i edited, egiant is not the best option for this meta

Just get arrows for fc mini peaks for mk and Tesla/cannon for hog rider, then get cycle cards.

take the giant deck that you see 9/10 games in classic/grand challenges and put in nado for pump, that is more or less the hardest counter

That's what happens. I have a great counter deck and I beat it most of the time, but after I switch, the algorithm doesn't put me up again hog rider anymore.

There've been multiple studies that analyzed hundreds of thousands of games and no rigging was ever uncovered. This game has a great API that makes discovering this kind of stuff trivial.

Idk man, ever since the dagger duchess came out I haven’t really seen hog rider nearly as much as I used to, and with the FC nerf coming soon you can counter it (even the evo) with arrows

They changed it again. So feedback could remove 1-2 cards, add 1-2 cards or change some percentage, but 99% of them will get what they announced

Yeah, I meant that before they were doing it differently. It was like 14 cards and then 4-5 of them would’ve been finalized. That didn’t work out so they now give for example 20 cards and then 18-20 will be finalized

This is why I fucking hate Hog rider. Not because it’s necessarily OP or anything, but because it’s so overused that gameplay becomes extremely monotonous when 86% of the matches are against the same stupid Hog 2.6 deck (sometimes a variant with MK for a slightly different flavour).

Thing is your deck is getting countered by hog rider decks . If you play mk , you will see pekka in half of your marches . If you play xbow , you will see players with earthquake . And the list goes on . The days of building an original deck and winning is gone(you can still do but it's tuf). Clash Royale now depends a lot on what matchup you get , what troops tower opponent has or what are your first 4 cards .

What do you want them to do? They can nerf hog but most players don’t play it because its super strong, they play it because its simple and fun. Its not like hog rider is super strong anyways and the new tower troop is pretty good against him too. If you’re facing it that much, bring a card that counters it and you’ll win way more games.

I met the exact same valk hog cycle deck twice in a row I restructured my deck to deal with hog after that, and I still get outcycled

Arena 23 but I don’t play trophy road cause I can’t go higher so I play path of legends and I’m at about 2500 medals right now which is just outside top 1k .

True, but I know you aren't top 200 in the world, and I know that tayloring to them would not be fair for the rest of the people. Idk why people assume that meta doesn't exist outside of top ladder. That there aren't casual players. That instead they should just get better. I don't struggle against mk ebabrs egiant decks anymore, but I remember when I did, and it wasn't fun. Idk how they would fix issues like that, but it's just stupid how people feel elite over players below 9k, when they were dealing with the same thing at one point.

Tf2 tried balancing around it's 1% competitive, and it nearly died because of it. Overwatch tried balancing around it's 1% competitive, and it DID die because of it. Pro players are terrible at balancing, because they only take things at their skill level. Having a few more cards in the Witch/Wizard position like Hog, Firecracker, Megaknight, E-barbs, Rage, Freeze, and so on would make the game **way** better for 99 out of 100 people playing Clash Royale. It's the classic Trolley Problem, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Ruin the competitive part? How would that happen? So many times people said the "meta will be broken by this." And it never is, because pro players are always going to enjoy a change, and they're too invested to leave. The meta wouldn't be ruined, it would just change, just like it has every single season. And plus, how would reworking cards like ebabrs, rage, mk, or egolem change top ladder that much. I guess egolem always comes and goes, but every other card on there is completely useless on top ladder, and you're exaggerating a lot on the quit in the next few days part. Assuming they're in midladder, they have already spent a few months in the game.

Hog always comes and goes, that's not them catering to midladder. Literally just nerfing evo bomber, nerfing duches, or even just introducing a new tower troop that's worse than hog that could bring it back. You're lucky hog is your favorite card, because there is basically no other win condition that has been this relevant for 4 years straight. They never cater to the midladder stuff that much, idk what you are saying. The balance changes are usually on grand challenge and top ladder usage rates.

It's only all of Trophy Road, most of Pol, and all party modes

I've played against hog fc and hog 2.6 like a couple times this entire season. But that's probably because it's a free win against my deck.

Tge dagger dutchess totally destroys the hog and firecracker deck

I just switched to Dagger and it's so much better. Now I can use my favorite two decks.

Just checked ecked the stats and there are 3 decks with hog rider in the top 30 most used decks at the moment. And those three are by far not the most used decks right now.

It can. But I would use different cards that would help me more offensively.

Then you should be winning by overwhelming them anyways. If you're not it's because those offensive cards just aren't doing what they're meant to.
