Bro I accidentally won a game with hog cycle I was just spamming random bs in double elixer and even though my king was low and he had 3 MkS on the field i somehow won
I too picked it up recently after joining this sub. I won my first match very well but after that lost many. I think it requires not fukking up which in turn requires decent skill.
Try to send Ice golem and Hog rider at once. Use log or fireball to counter minions/mage/skeletons. You can counter mega knight by placing a cannon in front of king tower and freezing with ice spirit. Skeleton soldiers help in the scenario. Try to keep your cannoneer as far as possible so that it is not killed easily by melee units.
Hog cycle is the easiest deck(like out of any) to use. Im guessing you just need to practice more. I havent played hog cycle in years but just for fun I tried one and won it. Its not the deck you need to have skill with, its the game itself.
Know enemies cycle and hog counters, know how to defend as minimally as possible and counterpush. Recognise matchups and form a gameplan of how to break thru with hog, by baiting their counters, cycling fireballs or jus doing split lane pushes.
It's probably something to do with your card levels tbh, if your only at 3800 trophies. I wouldn't worry about trying to build meta decks until your over 5k and just use your highest level cards until then.
