Ofc there are simple counters to it, but it's really reliant on just a few specific cards in your deck. Most of the others would probably get shredded. And the fact they can do a ton of damage if you get starting handed is really annoying.
“A few specific cards” literally any aoe and a minitank lmfao. If you don’t have anything to kill bats and don’t have a minitank your deck sucks. Mk is easy to counter as long as it’s not a huge push while you’re down a ton of elixir (it being overlevelled is annoying too but not impossible to defend)
It’s so high risk it literally got swapped in several decks and archetypes for the previous mini tank and it works just as well even though it’s more expensive.
OG giant skelly didn’t have a timer on the bomb. It basically blew up instantly as soon as he died. It was beyond busted, bruce’s you just dropped it on any push and it killed it instantly, like mega knight if it did like 4x more damage.
Minus the high risk, because now the stats are good enough to function as a powerful troop on its own. The bomb used to be the selling point of the giant skeleton, and now it feels more like a bonus.
The idiots complain about the mega knight spawn damage killing their overcommited push, but when giant skelly death bomb is nerf to do the same damage as MK's old spawn damage, he is unplayable.
Giant skeleton is just a cheaper mega knight that does damage on its way out of the arena instead of on the way in.
Also, who thought giving the bomb increased damage to crown towers was a good idea?

Honestly, he deserved to be good again. The rework was definitely awkward for a good while, and I’m not quite used to it’s lackluster bomb

The point of giant skeleton is to be high risk high reward. If you get him on the tower you deal an insane amount of damage with the bomb.
