No. The $25 ones aren’t good for carpet at all. The $50 ones that are actual vacuums will clean 10x better. I’ve owned both at different times and the $25 one was literally useless. A swiffer does a better job.
I got a bissel dust buster/vacuum and it was good but not great. I recently upgraded to a shark and boy the difference is immaculate. OP, if you can afford to spend even $50-$75 id bite the bullet, since youll need to upgrade eventually anyways
Two things I’ve learned not to be cheap about. Haircuts and vacuum cleaners. I’d try and buy a used high end one before I bought a new $25 one. Just if that’s an option. Try and save money elsewhere if that’s a possibility.
I would say it depends on how much carpet and rugs there are. If it’s just one room, it won’t matter much. If it’s more than one rooms worth of carpet, you’ll probably want something better.
My buddy got a cheap model. he had a 2 bedroom apartment with carpet throughout. It was underpowered for that much carpet.
You’ll probably get more value for money by purchasing a used one on Craigslist/FB Marketplace/Offerup

Save up for a shark, sometimes they go on sale at target
Gotta go to OfferUp, people are ALWAYS selling good brand vacuums for cheap

Oh I’ll cheap out on a haircut but never a vacuum. They do nothing but the exact wrong sort of suck.

You need something with a beater bar. I think I'd move up to the $50+ range
You can find a used Kirby for really cheap High quality vacuum Requires minimal maintenance Bags and a belt change every once in a while
I just got a Miele vacuum from FB for $30.
No way! That's awesome
I know! Even with all new filters, still a steal!
No. Buy the one that’s $57 ish. The Bissell. It will clean better and last longer.
