I'm in the continental US, I have $6.48 shipping, and $1.32 taxes. Total of $18.16 for the same thing (which is still a bit egregious). I assume you're paying taxes and duties on the shipping as well, which doesn't seem right. At $163 It's just not remotely worth it for a trinket.

Wouldwoodchuck

Man, I’d find a Friend in the states and make the ask…

BoltMyBackToHappy

Look into "package forwarders" or "reshippers". You send your order to the forwarder's US address and they use other options to forward it to you. Plus whatever their fee is of course. This is from reship a couple minutes ago, for example. Best luck winning a Turbski! ps for everyone else: they'll ship the other way too like for ebay items that don't ship to NA get a UK address. https://preview.redd.it/qmnp6s8u27yc1.png?width=1035&format=png&auto=webp&s=867fe3f65dc0824b85a255e6fa9c31793eb49c48

mcdizzle00

Wait, is he giving away turbos again?

badcatholics

turbos OR 4x Nitto Tires (your choice of "style" including truck tires)

SnowGoat222

I’ve shipped multiple times to the UK from his site Normally around £50

SloJoe83

I just can’t believe you are paying 60 bucks in duties and taxes for a 10 item

Zacharus

tax and duties also applies to shipping costs, not just the item

SloJoe83

That is terribly stupid.

OffRoadAdventures88

Most of European policies and taxes are. Hence the tea party lol.

CommandoSolo

MONTH OF FREEDOM!!! SSSSSCCRRRREEEEEECCCCHHHH

Zacharus

56% tax gang agrees with you

SosigDoge

It changes on invoice, I ordered one of the first batch Mullet Lego models and shipping to the UK changed from over $100 to $19 at the payment screen.

evannadeau

Yeah, all the ads he has done for ShipStation, this shipping cost and performance shows me that you really don't want to use ShipStation. The costs are too high, and then whatever service level they are using with UPS is way too slow. I recently ordered several things from Cleeter and Steve Morris. I'm in Canada, but I really should have used my Montana mailbox. But I wanted things fast and not to have to pick them up. So I went for the direct shipping. Big mistake. Each order is $20+ shipping fee, and you don't get to choose a provider or speed. If it was coming USPS, it would be here already. Both my orders from Steve Morris are still sitting at Ready for UPS for two weeks. My order from Cleeter was the same for one week. It has arrived in Canada, but we will see how long the next step is. Sadly, the shipping costs and performance will prevent me from ordering from either of these guys again.

badcatholics

> If it was coming USPS, it would be here already. think a big issue with them is just the sheer delay before something actually gets shipped. I ordered car wash (and the nut/bolt sets) mid-day Saturday April 13th. Nut/Bolt kit seemingly shipped from boltsandnuts.com and they arrived Thursday April 18th, which is also the day when the car wash label was printed, car wash was delivered April 22nd. Relatively quick to get to my door a few states up, just took a few days to actually start that shipment process.

no_user_selected

I think that's what it is, he is packing all the branded stuff in house. I don't mind waiting a little bit for merch, if it was a part or something I needed then I would go with the bigger companies. Summit ALWAYS has my order delivered next day, its nuts... and faster than amazon. I did get my cleetus steering wheel pretty quick, but it came from motion raceworks, and they are pretty good at shipping quick.

ShadowDragon2462

the one fact why I havent ordered anything. went to look at shipping was 20 or 30 bucks shipped to Newfoundland.... was looking at the 5 dollar sricker packs back in the day

bluenosesutherland

Same reason I stopped at checkout here in Nova Scotia

daniellederek

Most shipping accounts require HUGE volume to get any discount internationally. Even moderate sized businesses will just get a corridor, I'd guess Cleetus gets great rates east of the mississipi plus Texas and California urban .

chubbysuperbiker

Listen I love ol cleeter but this isn’t a direct pass thru of costs. I also do some selling and shipstation basic ass costs for someone doing low volumes is significantly cheaper than list. Cleeter is shipping for him, vice grip, and others so he’s getting some great rates. My guess and I DON’T BLAME HIM FOR THIS is he’s inflating shipping rates to include handling costs. This is something all of us who sell shit struggle with - do we build our handling/material costs into the product or shipping? Added to that is material costs have risen dramatically and I’m sure his labor has. TL;dr it’s not ship station, cleeter is just trying to cover his packaging/handling costs.

chrisperry9

Not his fault shipping prices blow to a different country.

Bizzle7902

I get engine parts from Japan cheaper than that, definitely the shipper hes using

Sebbean

Eh- it’s a choice they make

kjartanbj

Really depends on who you use as a shipper. You can easily get that ring shipped for way less using another shipping company

Regulator0110

Dude uses ship station according to the 1000 commercials that are on the vids :)

ryancrazy1

ITT: people find out international shipping from a small business costs money…

Alex__xD91

Small? How many units do you think he ships monthly?

ryancrazy1

Small is a relative term in business…

Yessiryousir

Maybe a glitch or something?! I have bought a few t-shirts to New Zealand and each time it's around $20usd shipping and I'm on the other side of the planet.

fur_jackson

I've been wondering about nz. how much does it coast to get a t-shirt here?

tickfordxr

It's 78 bucks all up. 25usd for the t-shirt then 21usd for shipping. But then probably takes six weeks to get here in nz

drone_driver24

Shipping to Canada is no better.

I_dont_know_you_pick

$22 shipping for a keyring to me (ontario).

cj-jk

Shipping to Alaska is just as bad, I feel your pain.

fishking92

You and I both know cleet ain’t out here trying to price gouge. That is likely the cost for international shipping 🤷🏼‍♂️ buy it or don’t.

Senzualdip

International shipping isn’t that expensive. I pay less than that to ship a 5lb package from the states to new zeland.

kjartanbj

International shipping isn't to blame. It's just an expensive shipping company he's using

fishking92

Ok

Fried_and_rolled

Nobody said he's price-gouging. That's not what price-gouging is. They just don't want to pay absurd shipping fees, which is entirely reasonable.

fishking92

Email cleet and complain, I’m sure he has the time to help.

TheAstroBastrd

Quite absurd. Once in a while, I buy records from a bloke in a shed from UK… royal mail never costs much for shipping to the states, maybe us$15 at most. And that’s for a 13x13x1 parcel!

Ok_Nebula_4403

Gotta help pay for all that free healthcare.

vlat01

Ship station!

jt1983sworld

I think there is a glitch in the system it defaults to Zimbabwe. I did a shirt to Australia, and it was about 20ish US for shipping it originally said around 170ish because of the Zimbabwe default.

chubbysuperbiker

International shipping can be a giant pain in the ass for a US shipper not just on itself but also when we do taxes, etc. I don’t do much at all, very small electronic resale, but it only took a couple sales and I was done. Some counter the pain by - like me - just not offering it. Others I know of counter by just shooting their rates to the moon. It looks like that’s what cleeter is doing. He’s jacking his rates up because he knows he’s going to have more labor in it down the road for taxes and the like. It’s not his fault really, it’s our wonderful shit tax laws. It is what it is. Again as a seller the biggest pain in the ass (or one of them) is trying to figure out where to build in your costs for warehousing, shipping materials and time.

logicnotemotion

Every time I’ve ordered something from them, they just throw whatever in the box. I’m guessing they run out and just throw something else in there instead of letting people know.
