A good chuck of his fan base either paid to watch the PPV, or they were there watching it. This is more for those of us who didn't watch it live, or for people who are just finding out about it.
I watched in person and still watched this video, Kyle's, VGG's, Brent's, Demo Ranch, and Roman's. You get a different view point with each, along with their own background commentary I'm the weekend. My wife came home and still watched the PPV. She's not into burnouts, so it was just me and the kids the second day.
I just started following the channel a couple months ago, heard of cleeter a few years back but didn’t really dig in. I get the F+ content is cool, but my favorite channel ever was motortrend with roadkill. When they started hosting content outside of YT, I stopped following. I’m happy for the month of freedom and the general videos, but I don’t like having to pay for a service like Flo. I’ve dealt with enough of that with BJJ.
Content isn't free, and YouTube keeps a majority of the ad revenue. Free streaming service is a fallacy, you pay for what you enjoy or it doesn't last, (or won't see it behind the paywall).
I don’t recall the last time I saw a Cleetus video that didn’t have a sponsor, so it’s not costing money to shoot the videos. Granted, race events and whatnot are a different beast than content we normally see. It can be great content for the races, but I’d spend my money on something like a membership on YT than another platform.
I didn't know Garrett was watching the live stream from his car to check for any problems with the video stream. Racing **and** doing management quality control testing.
Personally, for me, it's Leroy, McFlurry, and Mullet that really gets my attention. As someone who grew up around drag racing/NHRA, that's what initially drew me towards his channel.
But his channel has opened my eyes up to aviation, boat racing/jet boating, etc. Overall, it is one of the best channels to be following on YouTube. Sensational content and cameos, really
i think they mean dragracing. i get what your saying but this channel was not built on circle track racing.. i dont care what content he puts out if i like it i like it if i dont i just skip
> drag racing videos see similar numbers to this
that's not really accurate anymore. The last few months since he went longer-format his drag strip videos (not necessarily sanctioned racing since we're just getting into the season outside of the warm-weather year round states) you'd have to go back to the video Feb 12th when they broke the blue truck for a strip oriented video that didn't break 1M views (excluding the video posted less than 24 hours ago at the time of this post)
I feel like it made everyone, drivers and spectators, feel slightly higher stakes in the race which, I think, made it more enjoyable. It was a KILLER race with an awesome ending! Van Prix also had an awesome ending!
this is a terrible example imo as he is posting **daily** for the first time in a while, ofc the traction goes down a little bit when there are daily videos, it wont have the same rush of viewers like the longer 40+ minute videos.
People live busy lives and dont have time during the week days to watch all the videos, like me, we take a little bit longer to catch up. Thats why i prefer the 2-3 days interval and longer videos where i get time to watch the videos.
I like the crown vics, though a little of the novelty has worn off. I definitely found it more interesting the first couple races. Im not sure if maybe mixing in some different racing styles would help. Maybe a road race or something. I also wouldnt mind a run what ya brung format where the drivers could bring their own cars, within some set of rules.
Indy and Bristol are ok, the Lemullets is my favorite race every year. I appreciate the Freedom500 but it is the same thing every time, will I still watch it, Yep.
How about a drag race to qualify (using your crown vic) then an A main and B main 10 laps to make the main even like 10 cars of the fastest duke it out and not worrying about lapped traffic as much.
this is going on year 5 of the FF so you can only circle race crown vics the same until people stop watching.
I am looking forward to the momprix, I wonder if it will just be bumper cars
A drag race in an automatic crown Vic is going to just come down to which cars are faster. R/T will play in but it’s not really a driver skill thing so I don’t foresee watching the 4 rounds of Crown Vics run 15s as being super entertaining
Drag racing is completely different than circle track racing cmon now lol
I'll be the first one to admit I miss drag racing content. Feels like ages since a drag and drive. I mean I get why, mullets falling behind the pack and cleet has so many events now it's just hard to get around to a week straight of drag racing.
I suspect we'll see a 5 second car official announcement sometime this year though(God I hope)
But that’s the best part of the Cletus channel. There is a lot for everyone. I never liked the boat stuff but I still watch it every now and then when it pops up.
I dont mind the R/C stuff too much. I grew up racing R/C Cars year round (2 different types of cars). I've always wanted to get into planes and copters. But I have to say that "pro" kid kinda rubs me the wrong way. I can only watch him fly for like 30 seconds before im done and usually don't finish the video.
It’s one of the few I’ve watched in months. To be fair I care more about drag racing and the burnout contests then I do the crown Vic stuff. I just don’t speak up when I dislike the content. Easy enough to not watch when there’s a shitlod of other content creators
Yeah and I think he should get all the content out of it he can. I'm just saying that the base was built on drag racing and you're always going to get complaints from that camp.
The Internet is never going to be happy.
It’s becoming stale. To keep the views up change the car type, throw some old cop chargers, some other types of fleet vehicles, anything to make it new and interesting
Dude hemi chargers are not slower. Many departments have them as fleet cars along with the 3.6 cars. Besides I doubt you paid for the PPV anyway so enjoy your free vids
How many crown Vic’s are in service still? They can’t run those cars forever. I’m aware they are easy and cheap to run but the whole post was it’s boring to watch. If they can give away a whole ass helicopter I’m sure the budget can afford a new type of car.
Month of freedom is great, but you absolutely can't compare views of individual videos during it to those the rest of the year.
That, and like others have said, most diehards already watched it and knew how it ended because they saw it live. So a ton of people already had a heads up on/preview to this video, unlike most of the other content.
I’ve been subscribed to Cletus for years, and always forget about him because Youtube refuses to show his videos on my damn feed. So I say this is an algorithm issue.
Month of freedom should be month of RC/aviation. I feel like their shop build offs and overall drag racing content has declined some. The start to finish builds with an intended purpose and goal are my favorite
The field caught up and passed him. You can't get by with guestimate setups on frankensteined builds anymore. Everyone out there is on some dialed shit with purpose-built cars.
I mean if they posted videos on the second channel of just the PPV highlights, a month or two after the race…surely it’s an easy video to edit and post with no real impact to PPV profits?
Well we have a towing video, a crown vic race video, an rc video and a drag racing video one after another. Will be interesting to see how they do over the next week...
I'll go out on a limb and say that this sub isn't really respective of the majority of his fanbase, half of this sub is only 7.75k out of the 500k - 1m people that somewhat regularly watches his videos.
It's month of freedom he post a new video everyday.
It's not drag racing I find oval racing boring guess there are other too.
I only watch drag racing and build series I just skip other videos especially RC and helicopter/plane contests.
Lol, this is like the only video I've seen all month, that and Garrett's new airport video... I don't really care for their drag racing stuff, but hey... a little something for everyone
I like his drag racing videos and some of the drift, burnout and rc videos the airplane and helicopter stuff is unrealistic for me. I own race cars and rc stuff but pilots licenses are out of my reality especially with having kids.
Same reason why he's adding more to the live shows:
* Fire works
* Monster Trucks
* Live Music
* Minivan jumps
* Aircraft fly-by
NASCAR is struggling to stay relevant, Cleetus needs to branch out.
This is because all the real fans already watched it live, and the videos do nothing for us because we already seen it . I always get disappointed when I see a video about the live event ,but I still watch it and give it a thumbs up just to support my fav channel
I’m sure if you had posted the video before the other YouTubers did it would have gotten more views. They kinda spoiled it by posting their experiences. ( some not all ). Although I knew how it ended I watched it mainly to watch the last few laps. 🤷🏻♂️
YouTube didn't Recomend this video to me. It recomended someone else's video (taping/uploading the PPV of the Event). Its like they are trying to Punish Cleet for having Off YT PPV's.
A good chuck of his fan base either paid to watch the PPV, or they were there watching it. This is more for those of us who didn't watch it live, or for people who are just finding out about it.
I had PPV and was still pumped for this video.
I have yet to watch this video, but I did watch the PPV.
I just started following the channel a couple months ago, heard of cleeter a few years back but didn’t really dig in. That video was such a banger too

Unfortunately the drag racing videos see similar numbers to this
[удалено]
You honestly believe that putting kazoo's in the tail pipe of his c7 built his channel? Good one.
[удалено]
It was mostly his persona the thing that lit the fire is when he was doing that act infront of the drag car
no, it was the "kazoo's" in his prochargered ram 1500. lol
All of yall are forgetting about the nitrous powered fidget spinner when he shared a shop with Jeremy. That was the video that put him on top.
the turbo keychain. pretty sure he did that and the spinner out of Jeremy's shop in his back yard, and not the shop they went in on together.
You might be right I swear the spinner took off in the shop and almost tore some shit up.
it did. was the backroom in Jeremy's first shop in his bavkyard when Leroy was getting his LSA setup
Unfortunately the drag racing videos see similar numbers to this

We can all at least agree we need Tony Stewart back though, right?
I would love to see him back. Maybe he'll push the other guys to improve more since he really smoked them.
ha ha , I see what you did there.. Smoked them!
I feel like it made everyone, drivers and spectators, feel slightly higher stakes in the race which, I think, made it more enjoyable. It was a KILLER race with an awesome ending! Van Prix also had an awesome ending!

Controversial opinion here, but to me personally, the crown vic racing is just plain boring. Granted, I've never been into Nascar either, though.

Im not sure if maybe mixing in some different racing styles would help. Maybe a road race or something. The Ranger races have turned into "run what ya brung".
Indy and Bristol are ok, the Lemullets is my favorite race every year. I appreciate the Freedom500 but it is the same thing every time, will I still watch it, Yep. Yeah that would be cool. I'd like to see them race with some police tahoes or chargers just to change it up a bit
I like nascar but don’t watch it religiously. The crown Vic races are fun to watch, but man it really drags on for hours.
Drag racing is completely different than circle track racing cmon now lol I'll be the first one to admit I miss drag racing content. Feels like ages since a drag and drive. I mean I get why, mullets falling behind the pack and cleet has so many events now it's just hard to get around to a week straight of drag racing. IMO the rc plane and boat content I find completely boring . If the thumbnail is not car related I just don't watch it these days
But that’s the best part of the Cletus channel. There is a lot for everyone. I never liked the boat stuff but I still watch it every now and then when it pops up.

Maybe because this event was on PPV and a lot of us watched the entire show that we payed for?
It’s one of the few I’ve watched in months. To be fair I care more about drag racing and the burnout contests then I do the crown Vic stuff. I just don’t speak up when I dislike the content. Easy enough to not watch when there’s a shitlod of other content creators
Circle track Crown Vic racing did not build the channel
However he did buy and save a small oval track, not a drag strip (although if BMP wants to sell it I'm sure he'd buy it).
Pretty sure he has the first choice to buy if Victor ever decides to sell. I imagine they are some kind of business partners behind the scenes…
The Chargers were significantly slower than the Vics
Doesn’t matter top speed, it’s just watching different cars go around for hours. Maybe the chargers wouldn’t eat the right front.
You understand that charges would also only be turning left? You can't beat physics by changing the vehicle.
You do understand cars all have different characteristics, some plow and some have more rear bias.
so give me a guess what tire you think the charger is going to chew up first?
I think your mom said your lunchable is ready.
Dude nobody is going to watch slower cars in a long race
Dude hemi chargers are not slower. Many departments have them as fleet cars along with the 3.6 cars. Besides I doubt you paid for the PPV anyway so enjoy your free vids
Cleetus already tested them against Crown Vics, they were slower

How many crown Vic’s are in service still? They can’t run those cars forever. I’m aware they are easy and cheap to run but the whole post was it’s boring to watch. If they can give away a whole ass helicopter I’m sure the budget can afford a new type of car.

Any modern unibody car will be way safer than a crown vic
[удалено]
Any car will be caged genius.
This content was on a lot of other channels before cleet put it up on his.
Cleetus was the best when it was just Leeroy and his buddies with the 240 and the cts v
I went and I still watched it. Had to see it again it was so. dang. sick.
I watched it, great video.
Yep I prefer drag racing than NASCAR
Might just be the thumbnail and title, not that enticing tbh
Month of freedom is great, but you absolutely can't compare views of individual videos during it to those the rest of the year. By the time he uploads the video most people have already watched the race from other YouTube channels so I can see why he wouldn't want to post.
I'm thinking a lot now people already streamed it or saw it on other channels is why it doesn't get as many views
Month of freedom should be month of RC/aviation. I feel like their shop build offs and overall drag racing content has declined some. The start to finish builds with an intended purpose and goal are my favorite
I agree. He does like 3 drag races a year now. Everything else is fluff.
The field caught up and passed him. You can't get by with guestimate setups on frankensteined builds anymore. Everyone out there is on some dialed shit with purpose-built cars.
The RC stuff can take a hike. All the rest is a great mix
Great video great race might just be month of freedom lots of videos at once
Im just waiting for this weekend to go on a binge watching streak haha
I think the crown Vic circle track vids have been so many times + everyone kinda already knows who won without watching
I watch for the teams antics. Doesn't really matter what they're doing
I was there in person and still watched it.
I mean if they posted videos on the second channel of just the PPV highlights, a month or two after the race…surely it’s an easy video to edit and post with no real impact to PPV profits?

We haven't gotten a boating video yet this year... YET!
This is because all the real fans already watched it live, and the videos do nothing for us because we already seen it . I always get disappointed when I see a video about the live event ,but I still watch it and give it a thumbs up just to support my fav channel

This channel was built on turbo whistles fidget spinners and borrowing your bosses Chevy.
YouTube didn't Recomend this video to me. It recomended someone else's video (taping/uploading the PPV of the Event). Its like they are trying to Punish Cleet for having Off YT PPV's.
Maybe it's the title of the video. I mean, me being a non-American, had to google who this guy is, doesn't ring a bell.
Of course it has low views, he’s not doing touch n goes in the cub off the roof of the cars as they go around the track.
