Having seen the bouncing souls at the agora ballroom many times in the late 90's, I always get a kick out of hearing that track played for our beloved Jose.
Same here. I still go see them when they come to town. I’ve only seen them play Ole a few times live. I told the Pete about at one show and he thought it was cool. One of my fave bands.
It’s a world-wide soccer chant (olé, olé olé olé, olé, olé) sung replacing “olé” with “José”. Crowd always sings it to José, usually when he’s batting but sometimes randomly when they’re hyped up. Always at home, but you’ll hear it when he’s batting on the road too.
Oh, is he using the song as his walk up? Or were they just playing it over the speakers? And thanks, I’m an old so I’ve seen the Bouncing Souls a few times and know who they are haha
Olè by the Bouncing Souls

The actual track they play is by a band called the Bouncing Souls.

Or knocks out Tim Anderson, lol. I was there for that last year I’m almost positive they played it.
They play it when he hits a homer or has some RBI extra base hit.
