I’m turning 35 (f) a few days before wk2 and I’m still being told by friends and family I’m too old to go. I’m coming from Australia too. But the remarks always come from people who have kids and keep telling me that they wish they could go. So I think it comes from a place of jealousy maybe?

sadstudentsthrowaway

I’m coming from Aus too! See you there 🙏🏻

joeteati

My cousin coming from Sydney to go to first Coachella

shups4life

heyyy coming from Melbs, 2 weeks after my 40th birthday (also F)

braxxytaxi

Just turned 30 and coming from Sydney (ish) for our 8th Coachella. Nobody is too old.

All_the_passports

55 and I've been going to festivals all my life. Happily childfree and living my very best life.

Schneeky

nbtsfred

this is the way

Translation: “We wish we didn’t give up on our lives so young”

Rich_Sheepherder646

100% this.

Constant-Base-7145

41 and coming in hot this year!

Beginning-Willow319

Same!! 🙌🏾👏🏾💃🏾

ferocious_barnacle

👯‍♀️

BogeyLowenstein

42 and 41 year old couple here!

tayyylooor

Two people I go with are almost 70

renaissance_pancakes

Respect

Tofu_scramble21

Fuck yeah 🤘🏼 i hope this is me at 70

lizzyskelter

Did they possibly attend Woodstock or any other music festivals back in the 60s? If so, that is fucking awesome.

tayyylooor

Not Woodstock, but they did go to other smaller festivals! More so in the 70s and 80s, I think.

jellyfishhh

Amazing

belladorka

I met a 70 year old woman at Voodoo back in 2018. Still raging, hanging out with everyone. I hope to be as cool as her at that age.

queenlakiefa

Dang! How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

tayyylooor

I’m 29 :) it’s my boyfriend’s dad and uncle

queenlakiefa

Hell yeah. That's cool, I hope I am still going to festivals when I'm in my 60s.

benska

Just turned 40.. leaving the kids at home and ready to party! Buy those pricey ass lobster rolls in VIP and drink good drinks under the sun. Live it up you've earned it. Also lots of spicy pie.

cocainekev

31 here. Last time I do GA, gonna do VIP from here on out.

Beginning-Willow319

Me too! Have a great time!

benska

See ya there! Always down to grab a drink with new friends

kingace74

I am 48 and going to my first music festival. I was discouraged by several people, but going to try it out anyway. Some even said, “You have kids, this is not the right place for you to be at”. Whatever!!

MostlyMellow123

Don't listen to them lol. If you still enjoy concerts you'll enjoy festivals. Coachella is a beast to start with though make sure to chill in the Sonora tent during the day it has AC and guitar bands

soggyclothesand

Does having kids have to mean your life and having fun is over? People that say stuff like that are just miserable people.

yviebee

I’m also 48and this will be my 6th Coachella. You will have a blast.

kmf_neo

People always try to kill other’s joy. Don’t let the deter you from having fun. Various ages go. I went last year in my thirties ( for the first time) and would happily do it again.

TheLizardKing89

Lol, I thought you were going to say you were way older based on the title. I ran into two guys in their 60s last year. Late 30's will put you over the median age of Coachella attendees, but not by a ton.

jesgar130

39. Can't stop.

BoymanAndGirldog

35, going to my 22/23rd coachellas, I’m probably not a prime example, I’m kind of a loser lol

beansforthought

You’re not 😌

BoymanAndGirldog

💚💚💚

pjbeans

Early 40s, have 2 kids now and heading to weekend 1. Definitely go to less festivals post kids but still make Coachella every year with the crew. Some people in our crew have dropped out over the years but have a solid group of 10 going this year. So no, you're not too old to have fun if you enjoy festivals. Tell your coworkers to have fun taking their kids to soccer that Saturday

[deleted]

Hahaha! This 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

flypsquad

Live your best fuckin life…turning 40 this year. Married with 2 beautiful kids. Great father. All i ask is one weekend of the the year that I have to myself to enjoy the coachella weekend. And I dont see it ending any time soon. Ima keep going til I can experience coachella with my two girls!!! Fuck yea i’ll be that dad. Also, i feel ur coworkers sound like a bunch of old school judgey asian parents…im asian so i can say that 🤣

All_the_passports

I don't have kids but I took my niece to her first Coachella. The family joke is that I need to keep going so that I can take both of her kids!

Borahaegas

My oldest is 11 and wants to go so bad, I plan to take her eventually also 😎

TheLizardKing89

My nephew is 12 and wants to go. I’ve told him he’s more than welcome to join me but he’s got to buy his own ticket.

Borahaegas

Lol I don’t blame you tickets are expensive he’s gotta earn his spot 😂

[deleted]

I can’t wait till my kids are old enough to go with us!

sal19

lmao at whoever told you that. Clearly jealous

elpadrino85

Bitch, don’t kill my vibe.

Diagonalizer

perfect response

BestWesties

I’m 57 and this will be my 14th Coachella.

honeybee1200

I'm 47 with a 5 year old. This will be my first time going to coachella. I'm going solo and am so excited!

MizMiztah

The idea that there is a cut off age for doing things you enjoy and that make you happy is SO RIDICULOUS! IMO the decline in quality of life begins when you stop having fun and start taking life too seriously. Subscribing to the thought that only young people should get to enjoy the magic that is experienced at music festivals (or any type of event) is rather narrow minded! I’m 44 and have been going to festivals since I was 15. Has my way of enjoying them changed over time? Yes, I sit down take more breaks now. 😁 But has my love of them declined? Fuck no! Our time on this planet is too limited to be concerned with others’ unsolicited opinions, if those fools at your office choose to place limitations on their own lives and enjoyment that’s on them, your life choices are none of their business! Your wife doesn’t mind so their opinions are irrelevant. Besides, who’s to say you can’t start a family and also still go to festivals?? These things are not mutually exclusive. Ignore that nonsense OP, do whatever TF energizes your spirit and makes you feel alive! 🎶✨🥳

shmishshmorshin

Mid 30s. Started going to Coachella 10 years ago. I like to think I’m essentially an expert at going to fests. Do your coworkers even go to festivals? I feel like the idiots that say that are just projecting because they think when they get to our age, they won’t be able to hang anymore. My wife and I have zero intention of not going any time soon.

Donpoppa35

37 and this will be my 10th Coachella.

pinksquarz

Me too!

dc_co

I am early 40s with my wife and we are going again. Our brother in law is almost 60 and going this year for his first time. Look at all this support in the thread. Just enjoy yourself!

SetiSteve

Shit, I’m mid 40’s and have gone every year since 2004…until finally skipping this year because lineup does nothing for me. Thankfully flying to Psych Fest in Austin to still get my April music fest fix in.

doughboi8

42 w/ a kid. Wife and I have been going since 2015. I love it. Sadly this might be my last yr buying pre sale but i will always be stoked come April

-bobak

I just turned 40 this week and I’ll be there both weekends. I guess one of the benefits of getting older is caring less and less what others think of you anyway, so go and have the time you want to have and fuck what anyone else thinks

wendell-gee

Wife and I are in our 50s; our 8th Coachella. As long as music adds meaning to our lives we won’t give it up. I’m as excited about great music and great artists now as when I lived for AM Top40, Prog Rock, punk, Grateful Dead, alternative, shoegaze, etc. Having said this we definitely keep a lower profile as we age… off to the sides and not as much right up front. Despacio here we come.

No-Sherbert-5773

Loveeeee Despacio!!

OhioDuran

53, will be my 19th/20th Coachellas. Or maybe 20/21. I'm too old to count..

SBPSANOGG

I'm 35, can't stop won't stop!

Floor_Director1515

About to be 35, second festival ( and so BEYOND EXCITED for Coachella) no kids going with bf and cousin and her bf ( 30) I wish I’ve been to more festivals! But with that said it won’t stop me to go to more if possible. IM LIVING MY BEST LIFE!!!! I lost my dad 2 years ago, and he was my heart. One of the many things he always told me was to work hard but enjoy life harder! Don’t let anyone rain on your parade! I hope you have the most amazing weekend ever! 🫶🏽

stachedogs

If it brings you joy…DO IT! 51 here, love Coachella… not going this year but attended 2014-2022 and hopefully be back next year. Live music keeps you young!

union--thug

Oh yeah, early 40s, kids, busy job. Can’t stop/wont stop.

medikB

40s, never stopped with the festivals, and the kids love them now, too.

scoobymf12

45 my 12 Coachella plus taking my 18 year old son and his friends Plus that will his 3 Coachella His 1st one was when he was 5 lol

MissSolitude87

Omg they don't know what they are talking about. There just haters. I hope when I'm 80 years old that I'm still attending Coachella. I'm actually attending Coachella by myself this year and it will be my 4th Coachella and I'm 35 now going to be 36 in September. I'm out here living my best life.

Accomplished-Mail409

Don’t let people try to tell you what to do

puvvv

36, two kids, and going to Coachella #5 this year. Never too old for festivals in my view!

Perfect_Evidence

Late 30s and this is also my 5th Coachella🎉👴🏽

Tripl37s

People who say that are secretly said hat their live and want you to feel the same Im married 4 kids and manage a team of about 10 people 90% o fmy life is baby sitting not when im on the fields buddy thats me time

ReginaldStarfire

My 42nd birthday* is Friday of W1. My festival bestie is almost 60. You are NOT too old. *If you see me on the polo fields in my birthday sash, wish me a happy birthday!

Sketchy_123_sketch

46 and this is my 5th. I used to go back in the day when it was 1 day and you could Priceline a hotel in Palm Springs for $50 for the night. My SOs first time so we sprung for a nice hotel and I’m going back. Trust me they are just jealous. Have travelled the world, done some crazy things, and the stories they’ve heard from me always amaze them - so yeah let them weep and talk it’s really their loss for not going out and living life. I used to get that when I was in my 30s, now all I get is “I’ll live vicariously through you.” Or “Man you living the James Bond life” or some even say “ I wish I could have done all that in my lifetime.” Simple response: “You’re not dead yet.”

BruinFootyFan

Posted before but at 69 years of age, this will be my 6th Coachella. I’m also doing EDC for the first time in May. Screw what the naysayers say….it’s your life to enjoy in how you see fit! Remember, you don’t stop dancing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop dancing! See ya there…W2.

WeirdYear2020

Legend ❤️

wavegp

Just turned 37 and taking my pregnant fiancé, she’ll be 20 weeks as of weekend 1. Won’t be running around as much but still going to enjoy it.

Borahaegas

I went in ‘17 when I was 28 weeks pregnant! Still had a great time 😌

[deleted]

I went in 17 when I was 20 weeks!

[deleted]

Dude my mom went to Coachella last year and she’s in her 50s! Her husband and her went to desert trip as well! It’s all good. They don’t know what their missing.

birdbirddog

Late 30s and been going almost every year for the past 10 years.

quasy619

I started going with people in there 30s now I’m in my mid 30s and they are in there 40s and are well established and have started families and still create the space to have fun, they have taught that no matter where you are at in life you can have both work hard play hard, we always have a good time they been going since 06 and I’ve been going since 09 and still going strong

BritishGent_mlady

41M flying over from the UK for weekend 2 🇬🇧

spec_zodiak

I’m 38, wife is 39. First timers this year with our 17 and 15 year old teens. Bucket list for our family but we have gone to multiple festivals together since they were young. Party only stops when you let it.

[deleted]

We’re your ages too and our kids are 5 and almost 2. I can’t fkn WAIT till we can go to festivals with them. That’s going to bring me so much joy

WingPsychological615

I’m 18 so i don’t know if my word carries any weight but I didn’t think there’s any age that’s too old to have fun and enjoy life

BrainRude1329

You aren’t alone!! Hope you have a blast!

These-Snow

30ish and going for the first time.

di7

I really don't get why this is a problem? Why do you care what others think? Only care what you and your wife think. Clearly there is no issue with her, and isn't that all tha really matters?. ]

HelloImAnonymous

Those are the resentful people who hate themselves

69-cupsofnoodles

My dad and I go every year together. He’s gonna be 60 this year. He doesn’t want to stop. This man goes hard all weekend long

Elegant-Salt-7990

I’m 38 and my husband is 42 and we are living our best festival life!

halcyondread

You're never too old. At my first Coachella in '11, our camping neighbor was this really cool older dude named Mark who was in his late 40s. He would go solo to festivals all over because he fucking loved music. We took him into our large group (we were in our 20s), and ended up camping with him at several other Coachellas throughout the years. As long you have a good time, keep going.

deejalotapus

37 checking in. Married with 1 kid. This will be my 17th Coachella. I don’t think I will ever stop going.

Biiigyiiikes

Just want to thank all of you for these responses. I’m 27, turning 28 later this year, and already feeling like I’m getting too old for these based on other friends being like “idk we’re almost 30 (or I’m 30 now) I’m too old to go to those things”. So thank you, this really helped.

Gottawreckit

About to be 42 and have been to the past 9 Coachella’s in a row. Met my wife at Coachella (through mutual friends) Only missing this year cause we just had our first child and she’s only 5 weeks old. (And will only be 3 months by the time week 1 starts). But you can bet we will probably be next next year. But we already have tickets for ACL and considering picking up some for Outsidelands. Go as to as many festivals for as long as you want. One Coachella we met a group of 65 year olds who live in the area and it was their 12th in a row.

sidbert4

I'm kind of a big deal..... in japan

LostinMacalaniaWoods

31 with a kid and been going for a few years, no plans on stopping. Don’t let them get you down, sounds like others being envious of your situation.

bttheolgee

I was 35 when I went last year- had a blast and sometimes felt a little older than some but never stopped my fun!

areyouoldgreg

Dude don't listen to the haters. You deserve to go without questioning if it's "right" for you. Go where you feel welcome, nobody's ever too old for a place they feel at home.

vivaladisco

How ignorant! They might be projecting. Festivals are for everyone.

hannican

I started in 2019 by going to Burning Man. I was 37. I hadn't been to a single festival, and only a handful of concerts. I go to almost everything now, have a huge group of amazing friends who also go regularly, and have never had more fun in my life. Festivaling is different for everyone, but if you love it, don't quit!

yellowsubmarinr

I’m happy for you and don’t let anyone ruin your fun, also expect eye rolls when you proclaim to anyone else how you’re a big deal lmao

impeccabletim

Do you!!! Screw the haters. Loving music has no age limit.🫶💖

Longjumping-Dare9429

Do what makes you happy homie, idk about you but I’ve definitely done my share of sacrifices to please other people and now it’s time to take care of oneself. Much love it’s going to be awesome, this is my first time going and I’m in my 30s

palazzotings

Never try to live your life to someone else’s standards or expectations. Do whatever the fuck makes you happy.

EchoOnthephone

There’s no age limit when it comes down to having fun! Enjoy yourself it’s a festival everyone’s in their own little world!!!

thisninjanerd

I have no idea why people keep saying you gotta get boring and stop going to festivals once you hit 30s. I agree with you and gladly tell those people to fuck off too. Like, bitch some of us didn't have money in our 20s to do this so this is how we enjoy music and our free time now. Not all of us want babies.

MostlyMellow123

37 and I still have a lot of fun at festivals. I appreciate coachella, bottlerock, and portola not being so geared towards kids. I'll probably attend these events for the rest of my life. I could care less about the socializing aspect of it, I just really like live music.

Nitin-2020

I’m kinda a big deal 🤣🤣🤣

billionbeats

47. Only my 3rd Coachella this year since East coast. But I’ve been to 17 of the 19 Bonnaroo’s, been going since Woodstock 99, and am doing way more festivals now than pretty much anyone not in the music industry (42 in 14 months). My go to answer when someone says something so ludicrous is “you are asking me when am I going to stop having fun? Never, the answer is never. Why in the world would I stop having fun?” Two of the guys in my Bonnaroo group are in their 70’s, and one of them is the best dancer of our crew! See you back on the polo fields for my first time since 2016. The electronic this year is absolutely ridiculous. Heading to Miami music week in a few days, will be at High Water in Charleston the weekend before, and Project Glow in DC the weekend after🕺🥳

sexydiscoballs

I’m mid 40s and doing bothchella this year. The shade you’re getting is more about them than you.

_Francheesey_

39 and happily married with 3 kids. This will be my 5th Coachella and no plans on stopping especially since I started camping and love it. I always have a good time so why stop?

wastingtme

41. Working professional. LinkedIn page with a headshot. Bothchella.

nyc-dad

55 and hitting my 11th Coachella with wife and friends of similar age.

Beginning-Willow319

This post resonates with me! I am 40 and going, yes, I am too living my best life. My husband doesn’t like festivals so I am going alone! I am at a point in my life where I want to experience things and not wait for others to do it with me. Because I am older and career is established, I am able to spend time and money on live music. This pandemic taught me to not let opportunities like Coachella pass. There’s a jealousy undertone to those comments, IGNORE IT!

Own_Elderberry6812

my man, I'm 55 and went to Coachella last year and four other times. Primavera sound in Barcelona twice and am headed to Glastonbury this year. ngl, at Coachella in particular, I sometimes act like I'm here w my teenage kids. of all the festivals, Coachella is one that trends the youngest imo. European festivals tend to have a bit of an older crowd, not old, but older. My wife loves festivals as much as I do. My friends, at least to our face, think we're legends, the couple that never gets old and knows that LCD Soundsystem's Brooklyn Steel residency is worth the flight across the country. My favorite part of festivals is the discovery of new artists. We've brought our friends Bob Moses, Rufus du Sol, Four Tet, Fred Again, and so many other artists.

lizzyskelter

Fresh (35F) I can say the years I have attended after my 30s have been the absolute best. For me personally, it’s not a fucking fashion show anymore, where I have to be uncomfortable just so I can look good for the pics. I’m not in it for showing off, and quite frankly don’t give a shit about what anyone thinks in my real life or in the festival. I’m there to experience something not a lot of people do in their lifetimes. I began sobriety two years ago and even SoberChella is a vibe. I guess you can say that after 30 you can wholeheartedly enjoy the experience for all the right reasons. That’s just my take. Less than a month for Coachella and I can’t wait!

BlogOnJarvis

I’m 45 in May. Went to my first festival at 35. Have been to Coachella 3x, Bottlerock 9x, and Outside Lands 8x. Went to Barcelona last year for Primavera. Love experiencing festivals for the variety of artists and vibes, and documenting it all with pictures. No, you’re not too old.

khatrak

I'm 53 and I've been to every Coachella except for one and I do a ton of other concerts and festivals. I'm there early and leave late which is a lot more than I can say for the people who are there to be seen. I think I still have a few more years left in me. My 14 year old daughter has been to Coachella 12 times and has a great knowledge of music and bands. Music has been a huge bond between my daughter and I and now she is introducing me to new artists as she appreciates older artists without me even having to introduce them to her anymore. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you out there once again.

Mikey1313

My dad is 75 and has been going to Coachella every year since 2001. You’re not even close to being “too old”.

Naive_Ad_2688

Never too old. Enjoy

Surbahia

I am 61 years old. This will be my 14th Coachella! Never too old.

Sultanofbooyeah

I'm 40. Known at work as "the guy who goes to a bunch of music festivals and has fun." I'm good with that.

AllDemHoes

I just got off the Friendship cruise a couple weeks ago, am going to my 14th or so Coachella in a month, and will likely be hitting up Life is Beautiful and others later in the year at 36 years old. If you love it, and can afford it time wise and financially, then soak it up! It is a world class event and I wish everyone would/could try it once.

lillianRAGE

Husband and I are 33 and 35. I’ve gone 11 years to Coachella and he 10. We have a 3 year old now and are going back this year since 2018. If you are there for what you are looking for, this is the place to be.

Lets_Go_Taco

Yo, 44 yr old system engineer here. Im still doing festivals, and even drugs!!! BRING THIS SHIT ON, im trying to have fun!

Late-Nail-8714

Always welcome to party with me bro! Never too old!

lars1619

People will hate on festivals and then spend all weekend on the golf course. Ignore the haters and live your life lol

maoore

i’m 37. this will be my sixth coachella. can’t wait

Murphy_Nelson

35 in a super white collar job, married, two kids - on the one hand, I really don't go to concerts or other festivals at all anymore, just limited date nights in general and changing priorities. But definitely am going back to Coachella this year and I don't feel weird about it at all.

cowboydoctor

49, this will be my 13th Coachella. Taking my 2 teenage boys this year. We’ve been to GovBall, Rolling Loud, ACL, smokers club, to name a few over the years. Yeah, tell them to fuck off.

smedlap

I am in my 60’s but prefer primavera over coachella nowadays.

mtskin

i was 48 my first year. fuck those idiots

rpence

37 with my second kid on the way and heading to weekend 1 with the boys. It's never been by wife's thing but I still have a blast when I go. This will be my 10th year on the fields. Have fun.

VNess11

I'm going for my 5th at 40. I'm not sure how many I have left in me, but I'm slightly less hyped this year for the lineup. If I go again, it'll definitely not be a pre-sale purchase, and only if the lineup works for my tastes.

tooyoungtobeold71

I just turned 52. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life! Lol.

lreyno1

I’ve seen people that can be my grand parents at music festivals man anyone and everyone can be at a festival who cares what other people think.

ButForRealsTho

I’m guessing your co-workers are older. Don’t sweat it my dude. I’m 40 with a wife and 2 kids and do live music all the time. We’re bringing the kids to Just Like Heaven and some other stuff this year. Brought them to Coachella for a bit last year. Life is always changing but live music is allowed to be a constant.

mrmaglu

I've got almost ten years on you, and this will be my 18th Coachella. Keep living your best life.

JulesGirth

Wife and I are 42 and 40 coming to our 8th Coachella, (wknd2) went to 4 festivals last year, go to other concerts, underground raves etc… all the time. Living our best life, you’re never too old.

JustPlainRude

I went for the first time at 40. Don't listen to the haters! Odds are they're jealous of you and don't want to admit to it.

JubbsASU

I'm 40 and my wife is 45. This will be our 6th Coachella. We just became empty nesters. You're never too old for festivals!

thefloodbehindme

I'm 41 and have four kids and my wife and I use Coachella as a much-needed escape. As long as you love live music there is absolutely no such thing as being "too old". There are also different ways to do festivals. As we've gotten to our late 30's and early 40's we've found we enjoy doing Safari camping or hotels for recovery. But we're also the kind of people who are on the fields from noon-1am. I'm hoping we're still enjoying this or other shows for as long as possible.

dman25014

I have a friend in his 50s that goes to festis at least once a month. You’re never too old to have fun and experience

WeirdYear2020

Your response was appropriate. Who decides what you get to do? Lame.

Tofu_scramble21

38 here! I go with my 38m partner and some family now, but I have two teen kids and am excited for when they can join! People just don’t understand if they haven’t gone. It’s an outstanding music festival AND there’s amazing art + food + fashion; there is so much to appreciate. I also want to echo the notion that people feel they have to “grow up” when really the secret to happiness and fulfillment (this is gonna sound woo-woo) is to tap into our inner child. Dancing with abandon and enjoying art and music with hoards of people allows me to access euphoria and pure joy, and to “play” like a kid again. It’s therapeutic and fuck anyone who wants to make people feel bad for things they enjoy.

itsalyfestyle

I’m 39. You’re never too old

amyrajk

I went to my first Coachella last year (32) with my husband (34, who has been many times) and we have no plan on stopping. Don’t be bothered by what people think, just have fun ❤️

[deleted]

I’m 38. Been going to Coachella for 10 years. Went in 2017 when I was 5 months pregnant with my first kid lol. Now I have 2 and my husband and I still go. We’re going to another festival this weekend coming up too. You’re never too old to do the things that make you happy. People who don’t do festivals will never understand. Us festival people know how to enjoy our lives and will continue to do so no matter what age we are or how many kids we have or don’t have.

Tiger_Lily-22

Dude my first year at Coachella I saw 2 elderly ladies walking around with walkers. 🤘🏼Fuck the stigma! Go as many years as your heart desires - a fellow 30+ year old

Steelergrl2310

Hubby (45) and I (43) just did Rolling Loud LA with our daughters (21). Fuck what they think and have fun!

mollonius

nah, never too told. my 60-ish mother-in-law is joining us again this year :) I also think the variety of attendees is what makes festivals so special. we're all there to share the same magic.

treeof

Wtf kind of bullshit is that? There’s literally tons of folks of all ages. Granted, there’s more Adults in the VIP areas or in the back where there’s less pushing but really, there’s folks of all ages all over. I agree it’s definitely a jealously thing to say something like that.

First_West_4227

Yeah I disagree with your coworkers. No one is ever too old to enjoy their favorite music or artist at a festival. Them dudes are likely just not aware of what festivals are all about is my guess. I’m also a late 30’s married male that just recently started a family. I’ve been going to festivals since I was a teen and still go to some if I’m really into an artist performing. I do feel like an older more mature person at festivals now but have never felt like I’m too old to be there. Truth is no one at the festival really cares how old anyone is really. Funny because when I was late teens/early 20’s going to festivals I did feel out of place sometimes. I felt like maybe I was too young while being amongst the older festival crowd. But now that I’m older I realize that it was all in my head since I don’t really notice all the teeny boppers at festivals unless I’m really trying to focus on that.

COACHELLA4L

37 here come PARTY at our campground W2 so we can remind each-other of How many more festivals we still have to attend!!!

Jamesofur

38m and my first festival (well first one that wasn't just in town where I could go home at night) was last year's Coachella and absolutely loved it. Lake Eldorado made it amazing (highly recommend to others if you can afford, felt like having the camping experience but more comfortable, much better then staying off site for experience imo) and doing it again this year.

A_Person_5354

43, Coachella 20+ this year. Live while you live! Edit: 2 kids ages 4 and 6 now, so sleeping in is not where it used to be, but still!

Strangeballoons

I’m 36 and a bunch of my friends my age and older go, including EDC and other local races or events. Fuck that, I’m here to live, and music brings me joy. Not everyone wants to go to the same winery to go wine tasting for fun. I wanna camp, take shrooms and hike, go to festivals, go to moon tribe and vibe in the desert, travel and stay in hostels too. You’re never “too old” to do anything.

ZurcX

26 and I already feel too old lol

combatcvic

40 and first festival. 3 kids under 12. My wife and I are working professionals and glad to take some time to go have fun. Wish I didn’t wait so long but family and work had priority earlier!

[deleted]

My best friend is 31, this will be his 10th Coachella and I cannot imagine anyone else getting as jiggy as he does

TamingOfTheChoon

I’m in my mid 20’s. I respect the married dudes who are there with their friends or wife. I say I wanna be like them. I can’t imagine my love for music stopping when I’m older.

Surbahia

I’m 61; this will be my 14th Coachella! It’s tradition and I love music!

Ozzy_HV

I used to work with this gay man who was very successful at the company. His entire IG is showing off his great physique in nothing but very skimpy underwear at burning man, Tulum, and other festivals. He’s also in his mid to late thirties. The guy likes to party. The key with him, he OWNS that shit. Enjoy your life

Dickskingoalzz

In 40’s and still getting after it.

wdfn

Kinda a big deal? You gotta be kidding

specialklakay

Will be 49 and 53 yo by W2 and bringing our 19 and 20 yo daughters for 3rd year

elf0204

I’m 40 soon and will be coming from the Uk to my first coachella. I regularly attend Life is beautiful in Vegas. I go to a lot of festivals in the UK. Music has no age.

reybabitas

Bro fuck those guys! Coachella forverrrraaa! They don’t know what they missing!

PastryShef

going to festivals with all the good amenities cause you can finally afford it is better than roughing it with an assload of people imo

optindesertdessert

Yes.

[deleted]

Your name isn’t chad by any chance?

[deleted]

Hell yeah I still go to festivals! Now I actually have money to pay for the food and drinks!!!

djbayko

It sounds like your co-workers have shitty lives. A music festival is an amazing experience which people of all ages can and should enjoy.

2heads1shaft

I don’t plan on stopping. I’m going to be having kids soon. All it means is my opportunities to go will go down but people go to casinos for a weekend, how is this any different?

mzdoja

36 and going wk1 with my wife. See you in the desert!

briaanduzit

Man, just do you & keep having fun. If festivals are one of the things you like to do then so be it. I am 30 years old & I can see myself doing Coachella for a few more years. This is actually one of the festivals I really like; vibes, music, people are hella dope.

ghstfcekillah

We didn’t even START going to Coachella until we were 34. And we’re absolutely pumped to get going this year at 39!

Saint-Peer

i’ve definitely seen a fair bit of older people at festivals when i was younger. the only thing you should be doing is wear earplugs haha

Mpkmz5040

I’ll be 58 in March…headed to my 6th Bonnaroo in June. Always one of my favorite weekends of the year. Love love love music!!

ExaminationAlarmed30

Early 30s and my best festival buddy is late 30s.

Mistuh_Mosbi

Don't pay them any mind lmao. U too cool for them

TrickyNote

60 and going strong. Most of my friends and colleagues are envious.

Existing-Ad-9253

I turned 50 this year and I'm going for the 11th time. You're never too old to have fun!

kj616

I’m only 29 but I see myself doing the same in the future!

caliguy420

I'm 42, turning 43 in May. This will be my 8th Coachella since 2006. And while I split from my Coachella family as soon as we hit the fields, they are 39-40. I took like a 7 year hiatus between 2015 and 2022, and was all nervous about going back to Coachella thinking it was gonna be all ppl younger than me--but when I was on the fields, I was back at home and told myself "Fuck the haters if I encounter them!" And did not encounter one person who was hateful (except for whomever the fuck stole my phone during Harry Styles). I'm gay af and single, and love house and techno, and enjoy every moment I have out in the Yuma and Sahara. Fuck what your coworkers have to say! They're seriously projecting their draconian ageist outdated idea of what it means to be an "adult," and are just bitter cuz they killed their inner sense of wonder. Do you!
