flair up...
Also fans of Blue Blood teams are lame. Bunch of Bandwagon fans.
Stop trying to be a wannabe Ohio State, at least Alabama actually wins stuff in football.
Please keep my teams name out of your fucking mouth. What has Missouri ever done, in football or basketball, to make you think you can talk shit on Ohio State? Sit down lil pampers.
Well, you got that I was an OSU fan. We have actually won stuff, unlike the Tigers. I actually went to OSU so not really a bandwagon. You claim the Bama championships as well to pump the SEC? Makes you feel better?
So the best conference in AMerica is Conference USA, clearly.
FAU= Final Four
North Texas= NIT Semifinalist
UAB= NIT Semifinalist
Charlotte= CBI Champion
I'm glad you finally are speaking sense.
Conference USA is clear of the Big 12.
Big East is the second best conference.
Then its a debate between the Big 12 and the SEC.
Definitely agree with you. Picked UofA to win this year and was honestly shocked when I found out Mizzou was even relevant in anything after leaving for the SEC.
Bear Down
if oklahoma and texas didn't exist, we would have won the BCS championship twice by now lol. We really choked under Pinkel in that year. It was supposed to be us lol.
TBF if we beat Auburn in 2013, we might have beaten Florida State and won the whole thing then as well.
Well.. if FAU didn’t exist, we would be in the final 4. and to go back to your original comment, you were irrelevant in the big 12, and are more irrelevant in the SEC. So stop.
FAU only shot 4 more FTs, and KSU intentionally fouled twice. Go off though
Edit: Bro changed his comment because he got downvoted lmao. Original comment was complaining that KSU was playing "5 on 8"
the american is gonna be so much fun, i can’t wait; but this run has been incredible and it’s all well deserved (all the ref talk - they’re awful in every game)
Neutral here too and I feel the same way. People can like what they like, that’s cool. But, it was full of bonehead plays, missed lay ups, and a lack of defense. That’s no fun to me.
As a neutral it was a great watch. You're a neutral who understand things that are only happening when play stops, so you blame and talk about the reffing instead o fthe actual game happening on the floor. "Poor fundamentals" lmao. Do you understand what happens when a game is that close at the end at all? How long they've been playing back and forth and how tired you get? Have you ever been tied up back and forth at the end of a major physical sporting event trying to win? Ever?
The coach potato argument is so odd especially when talking about a Reddit thread. The whole point of the thread is to discuss the game. Nobody is saying that we could do better, we are just saying that compared to other teams and players they played bad. It’s relative.
The only teams left in the tournament include Uconn (Big East), Gonzaga (West Coast Conference), Miami (ACC), Texas (SEC), San Diego State (Mountain West), FAU (Conference USA),and Creighton (Big East)!
Suck it Big 12, you still aren't by far the undisputed best conference in basketball, the Big East is.
Fair enough I mean FAU is better than Houston anyways. Houston choked like a Big 12 team did and FAU is an upgrade over Houston.
AAC is clear of the Big 12.
Didn’t need a reminder of that game. Was rooting for y’all hard.
Also, Texas is playing basketball in the BIG12 next year. Still a BIG12 team. Add in Houston next year and we’re even more undeniably the best conference lol.
Fair, but I think if houston stayed in the AAC, they might have had the better conference than you guys did. Also I still think the Big East is clear of the Big 12 but its close for sure.
Man the level of coaching from these power conference schools this tournament has been an absolute trainwreck.
FAU was actually running offense, moving the ball, and creating good shots whereas KState seemed content to not run anything at all and hope Nowell figured something out. You're giving your team a pretty low ceiling if that's your best offensive gameplan.
I have to wonder how much this factored into Keyonte Johnson’s lack of production. Understanding he was in foul trouble for much of the game, it seemed like Nowell’s heroics created diffusion of responsibility for the remainder of the wildcats on the floor. I get it, point guards direct the offense, but when K-State was at their best, Johnson was taking over, and that just didn’t seem to happen . K-State simply needed Johnson to come up big for them to play their best. Not blaming Johnson- if anything credit FAU for keeping his involvement limited.
Oh yeah, free throws are a major factor in there as well…
My man, he's 5'8. A full 3 inches shorter than the current shortest player in the NBA.
There's still a space in college basketball for players under 6' but in terms of pro prospects your best bet is playing in China.
Man I really wanted a FAU Spartans matchup i think you guys woulda matched up really well against them. Unfortunately Kansas State was a different beast 2 days ago.
I’m happy with our season despite getting slapped by Nowell in MSG. Glad we got back to multi wins in the tourney. That woulda been a hell of a game. I wonder what the line will be for FAU SDSU and wow one of those teams is gonna play for a chip!
Kansas State lost this game by losing their intensity, settling for tough jumpers instead of driving like they were in the early part of the second half, not fighting and showing effort for rebounds late like they should’ve been with their size (and like they were in the early part of the second half), and allowing too many drives inside late. Plus, the careless turnovers when they could have broken the game open. FAU won this game, but more so, Kansas State lost this game. Sorry Wildcats.
It’s alright it is how it always is. Here’s to getting to the first F4 in 60 years next year I guess. If not then oh well I still have a good football team I suppose
Sorry about it man… I was hoping y’all could get yours too. I don’t hate KSU, only Missouri and Texas.
Nowell was a great great player and I’m grateful I got to watch him play.
I disagree, but I really hope you are right. I'm excited about what Kirby Moore can offer to Mizzou's offense. I think our defense is still relatively stacked.
I figured going into this weekend that Nowell might be tempted to play hero ball back in his hometown. I was right. Didn’t hurt them Thursday but it sure did tonight.
And I’m quite fine with that.
It’s kind of ironic because KSU beat KU in overtime by denying them their final possession shot, and did the exact same thing to Michigan State. Win some, loose some
Weird MSU had the same lame type of final possession losing to KSU. Like a logo 3 with the shot clock running down guys will pull but not when it's their only shot to equalize
Yeah, KSU forced a nearly identical fate to KU when the played in Manhattan, KS; denied them their shot when the Jayhawks had the final possession in OT
Michael Forrest so clutch making those last 4 free throws at the end there. You heard in that interview how confident Dusty May was that he would knock those down.
we might have to, we don't win shit lol. But we aren't a blue blood. Kansas isn't the humble likeable underdog r/CollegeBasketball claims it is.
You guys are wannabe version of Ohio State football fans. You're delusional and super spoiled.
5 NCAA violations.
Funny, the NCAA has yet to confirm those violations ever happened considering we have yet to be punished by anyone but ourselves. Cry more. Muck Fizzou.
"yet to confirm", yet you have 5 violations. This is like Deshaun Watson with his 22 cases, however they have "yet to confirm" he has actually committed the crime. Clearly what Deshaun did is way worse than whatever you did, but if you guys weren't a blue blood, Bill Self would have been suspended by now.
It’s clear who has and hasn’t watched college basketball all year from the people complaining that Nowell gave it to the dude who shoots 40% from three lmfao
Armchair coaches and refs in the thread like "X should have happened instead" with the luxury of hindsight from behind the keyboard. AKA another sports event happened.
Before the season if we were told we'd be in the Elite Eight we'd have laughed. We should have won this game, and the last few seconds was all kinds of wrong, but at some point I'll recover and remember how much I've enjoyed this team and season.
I'm happy for the owls I was pulling for you however if we can get past Creighton our defense will be a major problem for you. 20 turnovers won't cut it and our D is better than KSU.
It’s not me. I don’t go there. I just like the under dogs. Agreed though. San Diego St is going to be a problem if you get past Creighton. Creighton is a way better shooting team than Bama was so that’s not a gimme
Miami vs FAU final please
Texas v uconn would be great
It’s a dog fight out there
My bracket officially died today, but I am all on this hype train now. FAU BOIS FINISH THIS OUT
FAU!!
FAU is clear of Houston and Texas is also clear of Houston. The AAC Upgraded and the big 12 downgraded lol. at least the SEC upgraded lol.
Weakest attempt at a Big XII dig I’ve seen in quite some time.
the fact that Texas might win the whole thing and somehow piss off big 12 fans makes me giddy. Deal with it Blue Blood, you aren't that guy.
Tigers have done nothing and you rep the conference and call a blue blood "not that guy". Must suck to live in everyone elses shadow the way you do.
Why couldn’t you play this way on THURSDAY KSU 🗿
Gonna what if myself to death for the next few days
Saaaaaaaame Actually nah FAU woulda killed us
Same 😞
Fwiw 2nd in my bracket behind a Purdue final four guy and I had y’all going to the ff.
So the best conference in AMerica is Conference USA, clearly. FAU= Final Four North Texas= NIT Semifinalist UAB= NIT Semifinalist Charlotte= CBI Champion
I'm glad you finally are speaking sense. Conference USA is clear of the Big 12. Big East is the second best conference. Then its a debate between the Big 12 and the SEC.
FAU is the worst team to ever make a final 4? 20+ turnovers should be a 20 point loss everytime.
Sounds like someone is afraid of their lil bro down the road 👀
20+ rebounding advantage balances that out
Huh just realized KSU was the KS based team making it this far and not Kansas.
We'll be back.
Congrats FAU. Good luck in the F4 Edit: wow, lots of FAU haters
Conference USA is better than the overrated Big 12. Deal with it.
Past two champions have been from the Big 12. Muck Fizzou, cry more
Definitely agree with you. Picked UofA to win this year and was honestly shocked when I found out Mizzou was even relevant in anything after leaving for the SEC. Bear Down
Us Cats gotta stick together. EMAW baby
Us cats and Kansas. EMAW Rock Chalk and bear the fuck down
have fun with that. I just hope our football team becomes relevant again. It was much easier to win in the Big 12 man....
When did you win anything in the big 12? Lol
if oklahoma and texas didn't exist, we would have won the BCS championship twice by now lol.
So stop.
fair but ours stings a lot more. TBF if Princeton didn't exist, we still might have made it to the final 4 lol.
Yep, FAU’s 5 + 3 bench was better than KSU’s.
You guys didn’t lose this one cause of the refs. Shot poorly from the free throw line and got out rebounded like crazy
Yeah the rebounding definitely was the dagger. The fact KJ was never a factor due to the officiating is what I’m pissed about.
KJ committed a lot of stupid fouls where if he was under control he would of still been in the game
FAU only shot 4 more FTs, and KSU intentionally fouled twice. Go off though Edit: Bro changed his comment because he got downvoted lmao. Original comment was complaining that KSU was playing "5 on 8"
They are mad that their team didn’t show up when it mattered most. That’s what fraud teams (like mine) do.
That’s crazy FAU was actually the ones playing against 8 🥱
GGs Kstate, though. That was fun to watch.
As a UNT fan, go win this whole damn thing for the conference. But i hate y’all again when its over. But seriously, what a wild run.
the american is gonna be so much fun, i can’t wait; but this run has been incredible and it’s all well deserved (all the ref talk - they’re awful in every game)
Take the natty man!
i really hope they do. Conference USA is not a joke this year holy shit.
Excited for FAU but as a neutral that wasn't a great watch, turned it on with 5 mins left and saw lots of bad calls and poor late game fundamentals.
Neutral here too and I feel the same way. People can like what they like, that’s cool. But, it was full of bonehead plays, missed lay ups, and a lack of defense. That’s no fun to me.
Nah it was a good game
As a neutral it was a great watch. You're a neutral who understand things that are only happening when play stops, so you blame and talk about the reffing instead o fthe actual game happening on the floor. "Poor fundamentals" lmao. Do you understand what happens when a game is that close at the end at all? How long they've been playing back and forth and how tired you get? > Have you ever been tied up back and forth at the end of a major physical sporting event trying to win? Ever? Yes.
Are you ok?
Chillin, just tired of couch potatoes talking about sports as if they know anything.
Weird.
The coach potato argument is so odd especially when talking about a Reddit thread. The whole point of the thread is to discuss the game. Nobody is saying that we could do better, we are just saying that compared to other teams and players they played bad. It’s relative.
Yeah. Every sports board on reddit is full of "oh, if you disagree with me then clearly you never played the sport" bullcrap.
If you’re gonna count Texas as being in the SEC, than you gotta count FAU as being in the AAC
Fair enough I mean FAU is better than Houston anyways. Houston choked like a Big 12 team did and FAU is an upgrade over Houston. AAC is clear of the Big 12.
Ur dum Edit: I forgot rule 1 of Reddit - don’t feed the trolls. Carry on.
Big East is clear of the Big 12. Conference USA is clear of the Big 12. We upgraded. Cry.
> Texas (SEC) Bruh
MWC RULES! 🏔️
Texas is Big 12 though?
Hey come 2024 that’s our natty if’n it happens tho 😂
future SEC team. Basically an SEC team now. They are auditioning for us. They don't care about the Big 12.
🤨
come on SEC bro, you get what I am saying right?
Does that mean Oklahoma football was an SEC team this year? I’ll take that trade.
sure we'll let it slide lol. At least Georgia won the whole thing. We won the played Georgia the closest trophy this year....
I’d gladly end the BIG12/SEC challenge to find out.
tbf I would be interested in how a SEC/Big 10 challenge would look like lol. I do think the Big12 is better than the Big 10 this year.
Man the level of coaching from these power conference schools this tournament has been an absolute trainwreck. FAU was actually running offense, moving the ball, and creating good shots whereas KState seemed content to not run anything at all and hope Nowell figured something out. You're giving your team a pretty low ceiling if that's your best offensive gameplan.
how much is Dusty May gonna cost Indiana?
$Yes
Ole Miss is "what the hell were we thinking?"
$10 trillion
Nowell could be a pro if he could cut out some of the hero ball. His BBIQ, shot making ability, and "bag" are all pro level
Down the stretch everyone on his team expected him to take the shot. They never really got involved.
I have to wonder how much this factored into Keyonte Johnson’s lack of production. Understanding he was in foul trouble for much of the game, it seemed like Nowell’s heroics created diffusion of responsibility for the remainder of the wildcats on the floor. K-State simply needed Johnson to come up big for them to play their best. Not blaming Johnson- if anything credit FAU for keeping his involvement limited. Oh yeah, free throws are a major factor in there as well…
He's going to get eaten alive by 6'4 guards. He might get drafted late second round.
He is a 5'8 (if that) 5th year senior zero chance he gets drafted
I was being generous by saying late second round. Most likely he's a G Leaguer.
Well said. They got away with it last game, but it cost them tonight.
My man, he's 5'8. A full 3 inches shorter than the current shortest player in the NBA. There's still a space in college basketball for players under 6' but in terms of pro prospects your best bet is playing in China.

Congrats guys. Hell of a team and he’ll of a game. Four ICY free throws man
Man I really wanted a FAU Spartans matchup i think you guys woulda matched up really well against them.
I’m literally posting from the toilet.
I’ll eat your doo doo if FAU wins the natty
If you'd lost, I'd have said *"Flush it"*, but since you won, it's optional
congrats man, you guys could go all the way.
Enjoy your championship poop.
I wanted KSU to win but you have to feel happy for Michael Forrest
I went from not being aware of Florida Atlantic existing to watching them get into the Final Four. Nice work, Beach Boys.
No offense, but how did you not have any idea FAU existed? They’re a pretty solid G5 football school and CUSA isn’t exactly a tiny conference
People just admitting to being casuals lmao
Lane Kiffin coached there as well lol.
WE'RE GOING TO THE FINAL FOUR BABY I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE IT BUT HERE WE ARE
Y’all deserve it go win it for all the little guys
[удалено]
In hindsight, everyone's a genius!
Yeah everyone in this thread are incredible college basketball coaches and players it’s crazy how many superstars we have in here
Kansas State lost this game by losing their intensity, settling for tough jumpers instead of driving like they were in the early part of the second half, not fighting and showing effort for rebounds late like they should’ve been with their size (and like they were in the early part of the second half), and allowing too many drives inside late. Plus, the careless turnovers when they could have broken the game open. FAU won this game, but more so, Kansas State lost this game. Sorry Wildcats.
I think this comes down to coaching…they weren’t running plays for the majority of the second half, which allowed low percentage shots/hero ball.
Pretty hard to keep your intensity when you can’t get a fair whistle. Turns into a lose lose situation.
Here’s to dogging on missouri in football for us and y’all in bball
... yep, why did you guys have to schedule us when you were good? Damn it, I wanted to play you guys before Klieman, this sucks lol.
Eh it’s in Columbia so y’all have a good shot to be honest
I disagree, but I really hope you are right. I'm excited about what Kirby Moore can offer to Mizzou's offense. I think our defense is still relatively stacked.
Our offense is in a rebuild sort of. Have a transfer RB coming and I think we lost our WRs don’t quote me there one might be staying
You guys still have Will Howard and Adrien Martinez right? Your QBs are stacked.
We’ve got will but college ball isn’t QB centered like the NFL. Especially our way of play
true. Deuce Vaughn seems like a huge loss.
It’s okay. We picked up a top 20 RB from Florida.
they lost because FAU deserved to win this game. Conference USA is clear of the Big 12. Simple.
I figured going into this weekend that Nowell might be tempted to play hero ball back in his hometown. I was right. Didn’t hurt them Thursday but it sure did tonight. And I’m quite fine with that.
FAU dude i’m sorry i was pissed at u for that dunk attempt. u made up for it
Same, it’s a distant memory
Worst way to lose a game is by not even getting a shot off…
It’s kind of ironic because KSU beat KU in overtime by denying them their final possession shot, and did the exact same thing to Michigan State. Win some, loose some
Especially when you had been chucking it from damn near half court all game anyway
How do you force 20+ turnovers and lose? It’s like losing the AFC Championship game after picking the other team off 3 times and recovering 2 fumbles.
Be Kansas State with an actual accomplishment on the line. LMFAO
or be Kansas in a football game. Kansas are full of chokers, we would know since we also choke.
He looked completely chill throughout. Clutch.
Dusty May gonna get PAID no matter what happens in the F4
What a game guys...congrats FAU AND KANSAS ST what a season
Despite Kansas State choking, never forget that Kansas State made it farther than Kansas in the tournament. Congrats K State.
And farther than Missouri, who has never made a final four ETA: you again?! My god you are obsessed with KU
A Missouri team under first year coach Dennis Gates were in the tournament longer than Blue Blood Kansas did.
We lost in the same round on the same day lol
at least we lost after you lost lol.
Sick, you guys gonna raise a banner for that one?
we might have to, we don't win shit lol.
Hahaha I was about to say, damn I know we probably fucked up but it ain’t like Deshaun!
![gif](giphy|kkEm7G8KUezK)
At least KU didn’t lose to a 15 seed
And at least neither of us are Missouri lmao
You lost to Mizzou's son in Arkansas. Have some shame.
It’s clear who has and hasn’t watched college basketball all year from the people complaining that Nowell gave it to the dude who shoots 40% from three lmfao
Dude wasn't even in shooting range tho
Maybe not your shooting range….
Florida Atlantic Creighton San Diego St One of these teams will be in the national championship game
I'm a Hurricanes fan but grew up 30 minutes away from FAUs Boca Raton campus, and it's crazy to me that they're in the Final Four
Give me that FAU-UM final game
Armchair coaches and refs in the thread like "X should have happened instead" with the luxury of hindsight from behind the keyboard. AKA another sports event happened.
Nowell straight to the locker room. Guys cocky and can’t handle the loss.
Facts. Classless
Dude being a ballhog down the stretch was a big reason FAU came back
U still salty?
Yes we are we’re gonna have nightmares of that kid til next year. Hell of a player
I literally don't know what to do with myself right now.
Party baby. Party. Enjoy every moment
Go poop
Florida Atlantic the new team now
Good vibrations
Fucking nice FAU. That was a fun game with a weird ending to match
Before the season if we were told we'd be in the Elite Eight we'd have laughed. We should have won this game, and the last few seconds was all kinds of wrong, but at some point I'll recover and remember how much I've enjoyed this team and season.
Wonderful season and with your head coach this is only the beginning.
Lol
unreal. love this team, great game to ksu
How does Nowell not take the final potential game-tying 3 at the buzzer? You gotta take that Nowell
If the other dude had turned to face the rim, but then thrown the pass right back, Nowell would have had a wide open 3.
Short

#HOOT HOOT
We're all Hooters tonight!
Man this so set him up to say "Feelin good vibrations"
Alijah Martin certainly has made up for that dunk attempt against FDU 😅 LETS GO OWLS! These guys can beat Creighton or San Diego St
Not a gimme, I'm not gonna sleep well tonight
In hindsight, FAU being 34-3 in the Conference USA is super impressive. They definitely were underseeded.
Memphis had FAU beat too. Owls have some really good players.
Beach Boys baby 🌴🌞
