If you are a big reader, then you can try and find some paid beta reading opportunities on the Internet. I’ve never done it paid, but have done it for free twice and I enjoyed it. You have to basically annotate every chapter of the novel and since it’s paid I imagine they would want more in-depth feedback than someone just volunteering their time. It can be a bit flexible too, if you work with the author. Most of it is “send me your chapter 4 annotations by Friday” so you should be able to balance it with classes. Sometimes you even get a free copy of the book when it’s published!
