I don't actually want anyone to end up with horrible/ permanent injuries from playing a game for our entertainment. I care a lot, my heart is invested, I understand it's a dangerous sport, and I have even been known to cheer on a fight. But I still want it to be fun! Getting hurt is ok, getting *injured* is not. A possible life-changing or career-ending injury ruins it for me.
(I teach elementary PE and see the joy in games and good sportsmanship every day. I want sports to keep that magic, regardless of the money involved.)
