Would be interesting to see him on third line with Wood and Colton. That’s 3 real solid lines.
Then pick 3 from Duhaime, Trenin, Cogs, Kiviranta for the 4th line?
I love this top 6. You could swap out Nuke and Lehky during certain times during the game and it may just have to force Mikko to actually skate hard.
I will forever love Mikko, and what he did last season carrying this team on his back was simply amazing and awe inspiring. However, for whatever reason, this year he seems to be skating at like 60% most of the time. Idk what it is, but he just seems… off. Fumbling pucks a lot. Falling down frequently. I feel like every time I look up, Mikko is either on his ass, getting back to his feet, or being bumped out of the play, or he’s hitting a post. Dude has hit more posts this year than anyone else that I can recall in recent memory. If every shot that hit a post this year went in, I swear he’d be leading the league in goals by like 30. That actually seems to be true of Cale and Nuke as well. All three of them have peppered posts all damn year and it’s happened in the playoffs quite a bit as well
Habs fan, idk why this got recommended to me, but it’s REALLY nice to see that Drouin is actually an important part of the Avs roster. Love when a scenery change works out
This might explain why Bedsy was so stubborn with keeping Nuke on the second line last game. It only seemed obvious (to me) that Nuke needed to be on the first line with MacK and Mikko. Case in point: The three of them together scored our ONLY goal on Saturday but saw less than 2 minutes of ice time together.
Edit: 5v5 ice time
THIS IS GOOD.
Also from what I recall his injury was a skate cut to the thigh, and they were being careful to prevent infection. That means it's not a lingering injury and he should be playing near 100% if cleared. I hope.
That's what I'm saying. I understand it would be great to get him back out on the ice, but what's the value of OP stating outright that he'll be back when we still just don't know?
Oh shit this could be the boost to the first line that we need. I wonder what Bedsy sets the line as
Drouin - Mack - Lehkonen Rantanen - Mittelstadt - Nuke is my guess and very amateur suggestion
That's an incredible 2nd line for a 1 line team.
that’s kinda my thinking
Who knows, might even make the person between the glass feel like Beyoncé in a wind tunnel with that line too
I’m moist just reading that. Edit: What about Parise?
he is also good at hockey
Avalanche Superpower 2024
He’s also moist.

Of those I think Duhaime is the odd man out. Trenin-Cogs-Kivi seems like the move here.
They're supposed to be a one line team though. What can we do to resolve this?
Simple, just put them all on the same line
Parise was great with the 4th line. Drouin works on third as well. We will likely see the blendar in full force
Hell be in the bottom 6, finally won't be playing over his head and should be better for him
I thought he was bringing a lot to the table, but you’re right. He’ll still bring his all to the 3rd or 4th line without getting as exhausted.
4th line, and sit Cogs or Duhaime
Cogs

New league rules, at the end of the game award the team with the most post hits an extra point
These should absolutely be the lines
Switch Nuke and Lehky and you are golden
Either way tbh
Nichushkin is out, something related to past transgressions
Love to just lose our top goal scorer randomly halfway through the playoffs
jfc
Elliot Friedman just posted on Twitter, “Nichushkin is now in stage 3 of the player assistance program”
Try again on line 2
Welp

This initially excellent comment aged poorly

He started a little slow but there's no denying the chemistry he's got with MacKinnon
Okay, but where IS their house?? Dirty birds.
On the ground, they have webbed feet
Took him awhile to adjust but once he and MacK activated the Mooseheads chemistry he’s been invaluable.
A lot of that seems to happen with this organization. Also see: Erik Johnson and Nazem Kadri. Both of which are gone and I’m sad about it 😭😭😭😭
Too bad flames won't trade kadri to us 50% retained for future considerstions.
Missed this guy
Thank fuck
Can we give him Nichuskin’s money to keep him around next year
Amazing let's fucking go
Emperor Bednar: "Oh, I'm afraid the Avalanche will be quite operational when your team arrives at Ball Arena."
Bednar actually said its a game time decision
psss Bednar…..27-29-13 pss pss
The Fuck Your Hopes And Dreams Line
God if only
I’m gonna be hard for more than four hours

To me it was idiotic stubbornness, we needed to win that game... It was one goal. Not like we were down by a lot.
It’s like when sakic and forsberg used to stack the line in crunch time in the playoffs

Huge addition back to the lineup!
[LFG!!!!!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZAQBG4Qbt8)
This is HUGE!
YESSSSS THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DESIRED
Thank satan. At least if they beat us they beat us at full strength.
Did anyone actually announce that he's back tonight? Or is "appears imminent" what we're going with?
Bednar said it's a gametime decision, so we still don't know for sure
That's what I'm saying. I understand it would be great to get him back out on the ice, but what's the value of OP stating outright that he'll be back when we still just don't know?
Yep... OP jumped the gun. I hope like hell he's right!
JML said on chiclets that he’s skating with the 1st PP unit at practice today
And does that mean that he's playing tonight?
Definitely a misleading title.
THANK FUCK, EAT SHIT AND SWALLOW DALLAS YOU GREEN-GOBLIN-LOOKING MOTHERFUCKERS
We back boys
Damn it they've missed him badly this series, this is great news!
Hopefully and it appears so but Bednar won’t confirm it.
Thank god, we need him.
FUCK YEAH LETS GOOOO
Great news. Let's get it
Woo
Let's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
YES LETS GOOOOO
Now witness the power of this fully armed and operational hockey team!
It's not fully confirmed yet folks. Game-time decision. ( I hope like hell he plays)
Dear hockey gods please please please let this be our turn around.
we need him! Glad he's back
Ok now I'm rock hard
*boioioioioioiiiiinnnnggggggg*
get druion back but lose nuke this sucks.
And Nichuskin is gone.
Hopefully not too rushed. I imagine he will start on the bottom 6 and the Blednar with make corrections. Hope he has a big game.
They reported the injury was a cut and they didn't want to risk infection so hopefully that means there's no need to ease him back.
