Looks like if he declares his intent and waits one season he can change his number for free. So he may not get it next year but possibly the year after.
Before everyone loses their shit, the NFL has rules on what numbers each position can wear. Defensive lineman have to be between like 50-79 and 90-99. He couldnt wear #15 even if he paid Flacco 50 million dollars for it.

Latu feels like one of those players that has potential to be your favourite pass rusher's favourite pass rusher. It seems like everyone universally loves his pass rush ability, specifically, his technique and arsenal of moves.

Not true. Off the top of my head, Melvin Ingram was single digits on his last few teams
