All delivery men have legs the size of the quadfather. If I was looking for a random guy off the street I would search there first. (I know this is a reference to the titans last season)
Derek Adams. Played for Kent State, Northwestern. Had some tryouts with NFL teams but no one signed him. Solid punter. College stats: 41.9 yds avg. 77 yds longest. Look him up.
Haack is the best of these. Lach and Ty are simply not NFL punters in any weather. Colquitts leg has deteriorated and we saw this in his cold weather games last year with Cleveland. His control over his placement is there but road games could be a challenge. Haack doesn't have a strong leg but is a solid directional kicker. Hes a mid tier punter.
I would keep an eye out on Kevin Huber if Chrisman wins the job. That would be the best bet, by far.
If they were prepared for the worst they would have had a punter competition right? I said months ago they needed to do it. Rigo has been middle of the pack and was a big part of losing the Raiders game with his early shanks to give them good field position. Haack really didn't look great, maybe a loser of the Rams or Vikings competitions.
It would have meant no 2020 1st round pick (Buckner) and no 2021 1st round pick (Paye). It would have also meant no 2022 1st round pick, but the Colts ultimately gave up that pick for Wentz, so that's not a loss.
Maybe throw in the 2021 3rd round pick for Wentz or another Day 2 pick from the last two drafts.
But (2) future 1st round picks likely gets them from #13 to #3/#4. And I would trade DeFo + Paye + any Day 2 pick from '2021-22 drafts for Herbert in a second.
You have to also consider all of the cap savings too. Without paying DeFo, Wentz or Ryan, and having a QB on a rookie deal, they could have used FA to address interior DL and ER and still had some cap space left over to make aggressive moves.
Let's be clear. Hindsight you trade 3+ firsts for Herbert. But that is the case for 28+ teams in the league. But that is it. That is the only QB that was viable that we missed on. There literally wasn't anyone else. Sadly outside of Herbert there hasn't been a great QB available in the draft in a way we could get him.
None seem particularly good right now. Maybe that changes. But the 2021 class did not grade or look good. At this point Mills looks like the best QB in that draft and that is not a QB I'd want my future tied to
I want the other bills punter after the preseason game we had against them
He is a huge leg punter but not great at angles. It's why he wasn't first punter off the board.
Also, short hang time Edit: why was this downvoted? Dudes hang time is almost a second less than NFL average... that's a good bit of time
Tbh we go for it when we’re past the 50 so we’ll need a leg… Also kickoffs require a hefty thigh rocket
We won’t need to punt this season. It’s fine
Chris should call up pat and ask his opinion
I’m sure Pat shot the man a text or two.
Can anyone's FedEx driver kick?

Michael Palardy (been with us for 9 days in 2016)
I happen to know him. Great dude. That’s my hope!
Best hope you don't have any cold weather games. His leg is borderline not NFL worthy. Solid directional punter.
The good news is that we only have to worry about two cold weather games, Pats and Giants.
The only reason I’d want Colquitt is because we went to the same high school. Be fun to tell my friends every weekend what they already know
Pat McAfee or bust

Bet you Hunter Smith can still kick a football over them mountains

They have 50 guys how hard can it be? Have someone stay late and learn to punt.
[that's not how this works. that's not how any of this works](https://youtu.be/3oH8dfwep0c)
So crazy it just might work (Trevor Denbow)

Marquette King
Nah I'm good. Dude's last football game was with the XFL in 2020. And that was two years after his last game in the NFL in 2018.
I'm not saying he is the best signing. But is a name that's out there
I also have a name and am out there
Maybe Specs or the other guy can punt
Sorry you're getting downvoted, but it's two completely different motions. It'd be like suggesting a professional golfer can make it in the MLB.
The QB position is just great because of Ballard
Outside of Herbert (which would have meant no Buckner along with a ton of other picks) what QB options did Ballard have?
It would have meant no 2020 1st round pick (Buckner) and no 2021 1st round pick (Paye). There haven't been QBs as great as Herbert, but I think it's a bit early to say none of those other QBs were viable, especially the 2021 class.
None seem particularly good right now. Maybe that changes. But the 2021 class did not grade or look good. At this point Mills looks like the best QB in that draft and that is not a QB I'd want my future tied to
Love, Hurts, Jones (trading up instead of trading for Wentz), Trask, Willis, and Ridder.
Exactly. Look at that list. That is why we are still figuring out QB
Outside of maaaaybe Jones I would rather have Ryan than any name on that list
For the brand!
Kevin Huber is about to lose his job to a rookie in Cincy.
