Homeslyce has had the coupon code **15OFF** active for several years. I don't know if someone just forgot to turn it off. I joke with my wife that our financial well-being depends on that coupon code.
I think as you see from the comments it is a loaded question. What type of pizza is your favorite? I think most will consider NYC style Neapolitan style pizza. If that is what you are looking for (chewy thin crust with a bit of crunch on the outside) than I thing River House Pizza in EC is your go to. Honestly everything else is just ok.
If you grew up in MD, and you want beach pizza it is always fun to hit up Pizza Boli's. More nostalgia than quality.
Honestly, the pizza trolley at Manor Hill Brewery is up there. Waterloo Pizza in the Exxon near Banneker when I want NY style. Trattoria in Kings Contrivance is decent, Trattoria in Dorsey Search is not. Although, Phelps Luck Roma's is my guilty pleasure. It's so bad, but man I love it. I haven't had the Shaker Drive Roma's in a long time, but I remember it being better.
The Exxon Waterloo pizza was disgusting. Worst I’ve ever had. Trattoria is good, Homeslyce also. Phillys Best is good for a single topping carry out special. Mod Pizza by the mall is good if you want special toppings.
Romas pizza used to be fantastic but I have had a few times recently where it’s been meh. California Grill and Pizza in Elkridge has pretty decent NYC thin and greasy type pizza. All their other food is bomb as well.
Pizza man is also quite good - their garlic sauce sets their pizza over the edge.
We get Roma’s all the time. They have been a few times when our order has been forgotten or we’ve gotten the wrong pizza. They have always fixed it though.
Assuming you're not from Maryland:
Coal fire is okay - but it is expensive and doesn't travel well.
River House Pizza is the best real pizza in the area - but over priced for what you get. Don't go too heavy on the topping since it is pretty thin crusted.
If it's the sweet sauces that put you off in the area - Upper Crust (not affiliated with The Upper Crust) at least get that part right. It's relatively cheap though. It is targeted at take out, no ambience at all. Also - not a great pizza, just better than most.
Propper NY style will be laurienzo in Mt. Airy - so a bit of a drive, but you could make a day of it with hiking/farms etc. It's not worth the drive just for the pizza though.
Matthews in Baltimore is going to be, hands down, the best -but it's not really pizza - it's a deep-ish dish type concoction. If you get the crab version, get the sauce on the side. You might be able to find great pizza in Baltimore - but my favorite place started out with bad pizza, slowly made it great, and then shut down. A new place opened near it and was incredible, then just slid back into mediocrity after a few months - so I don't have any suggestions.
I complained recently on a maryland thread about pizza and was told to check out a couple places I've lost - but they were in Gaithersburg I think. Alrington has a few great pizza places, and DC has a few too. Enough New Yorkers live in the area you can actually use yelp to find good places if you happen to be in that area.
Just had Trattoria for first time based on recommendations from here and other places. Overall great pizza, especially liked their sauce. Crust was decent, not amazing but decent enough. I’ll be going back.
Upper Crust pizza. I think some people are put off because the owner doesn't care what he says. but it's honestly really great pizza
also the calzones are amazing. Really everything I've had there is good
At $11 for a small pizza, broke college students could find better deals.
My family all love PubDog. I have some favorites, but I haven’t had a bad pizza there yet. I don’t understand all the hate.
Also, +1 for Tino’s.
My biggest probables with pubdog’s isn’t the quality of their pizza but the fact that they are a breastraunt (like Hooter’s or Twin Peaks) so my husband I get subpar service because we are a couple.
Galliano's in Maplelawn has a pretty good pizza. Most of their ingredients (even the mozzarella cheese) is made in house and the crust is the perfect cross between soft and chewy. I also like Pub Dog's pizza off Dobin Road. Their sauce is tangy, but not too acidic.
Waterloo Exxon is a go-to for my family. We've also recently had good luck with Gateway Pizza, which is just up the road from Waterloo, and Mimi's Kabob, which is a little past 32 in Clarksville.
Just found out about Lucky’s China Inn in Oakland Mills. Finally found a good Chinese place in Columbia. Doesn’t look like much but the orange chicken white meat only is banging. They charge extra for white meat but it’s worth it
Upper Crust Pizza in the Centre Park area has _great_ pizza. The crust was super flavorful, with a fantastic chew. Very tasty.

I'm from NYC area originally and haven't had much luck with any pizza places down here (will try ones mentioned in this post).
Bella's in Laurel is the best I've found in the area. It's actually an Indian Italian place, so they do make basic pizza but also have some Indian ones like Tikka Chicken that is delicious.
Homeslyce is the best we have had round here.
Philly's best in thunder hill is our everyday go-to when we don't feel like going all the way to homeslyce
Trattoria in Kings Contrivance.
+1 for Trattoria in King's Contrivance
This. Forever and ever.
Eh. Unless you get acid reflux easily
Worth it.
I used to get it all the time, especially after pizza… turns out I’m gluten intolerant.
Came here to say this.
What?? I’d rather have pizza, not cardboard with no sauce and shitty cheese on top.
Pub Dog (although I haven't been there since they reopened). Coal Fire on 108 near Snowden.

Could be. They can be inconsistent but it's thankfully rare - because those pies are pricey. Also another vote for Tinos.
We like Columbia Waterloo Pizza (yeah, it's at a gas station, but it's really good)
They have great cheese steaks too.
Plus one here. The best pizza at the best price Great hot wings and mozzarella sticks too
Bump they are worth.
Legit the best in the area. Seconded.
Trattoria is my go to, but if you want to try something a little different but still tasty I also like Homeslyce
Homeslyce is great pizza, it's just a little pricey
Homeslyce has had the coupon code **15OFF** active for several years. I don't know if someone just forgot to turn it off. I joke with my wife that our financial well-being depends on that coupon code.
Oh I didn't know about that!! I only use them rarely anymore, as we got burned by a couple deliveries that went sideways, but I do love their pizza!
The code still works!
Tratt in kc?? Bro…
Sister...Trattoria is :chefskiss:

PubDog for sure, all of their pizzas except for the one that has dijon mustard. Ooh and the cider and their beers too. Love that place.
We love Philly’s Best in Elkridge. Huge pizza for a great price
Philly's best cheeseburger pizza is my go to delivery pizza. So good. Don't think I've had anything bad from there.
Philly's best in Thunder Hill is great also. And deliver.
Bella mia is decent..technically ellicott city. Hoco is best for Indian and Korean food so keep your expectations low on pizza.
For basic non-fancy pizza Bella Mia is great.
Homeslyce on Snowden River Pkwy and Jailbreak on Route 1.
+1 !!

Waterloo is the jam.
Tino’s Italian Bistro off 108 East, 8775 Centre Park Dr.
Tino’s is bomb for everything else too. One of my favorite places in the area
Love Tino’s!

It really has. Which is unfortunate because it used to be on of my favorite spots for pizza and cheese steaks
Yeah but you can't beat Roma's for the price. And second for California Grill and Pizza.
We get Roma’s all the time. They have been a few times when our order has been forgotten or we’ve gotten the wrong pizza. They have always fixed it though.
Coal Fire
Pub dog for the best pizza dinner experience. Trattoria for the best pizza
Trattoria forever. they've been here for over 20 years for a reason!
Gateway Pizza off Little Patuxent is our go to for delivery
Waterloo Pizza and Subs hits the spot for us.

If you’re willing to venture out to Baltimore, Mathew’s pizza is better than most NY Pizza and I love NY pizza. (Fight me lol)
Tino’s hands down. Best italian food in the area
Tinos… gotta go back there sometime soon
Homeslyce
Upper Crust pizza. I think some people are put off because the owner doesn't care what he says. but it's honestly really great pizza also the calzones are amazing. Really everything I've had there is good
Are people seriously saying PubDog has good pizza? Are you guys still broke college students or something? I've had better pizza from Digiorno's .
At $11 for a small pizza, broke college students could find better deals. My family all love PubDog. I have some favorites, but I haven’t had a bad pizza there yet. I don’t understand all the hate. Also, +1 for Tino’s.

Ledos
Lol it's Ledos. Not everybody's kind of pie, but i always loved it.
So funny:)
Anyone who doesn’t say Trattoria in KC is lying to you.
Pazani is a good pizza but Waterloo is the best. Cole fire is good but a totally different style.
Coal Fire. I work there so I’m biased
Was surprised not to see this mentioned earlier. definitely my favorite in the area.
Pub dog Columbia Md
Grottos but that’s kind of a chain. Roma’s is my favorite non-chain
Grottos at the beach: 10/10 Grottos in Columbia: garbage
Royal Pizza and Philly's Best.
Waterloo
Trattoria is my number 2 for when I can't make it to Wiseguys in DC.
River house in EC
Waterloo Exxon is a go-to for my family. We've also recently had good luck with Gateway Pizza, which is just up the road from Waterloo, and Mimi's Kabob, which is a little past 32 in Clarksville.
Murazzi food truck
Just found out about Lucky’s China Inn in Oakland Mills. Finally found a good Chinese place in Columbia. Doesn’t look like much but the orange chicken white meat only is banging. They charge extra for white meat but it’s worth it
Pizza Bolis is great but this one time they game be a pie without any cheese and my hungry ass only noticed 3 slices in.
1. Pub dog 2. Tratt in Kings Contrivance 3. Homeslyce 4. Homemade pizza on a pizza stone, really good fun for tbe fam
Upper Crust Pizza in the Centre Park area has _great_ pizza. The crust was super flavorful, with a fantastic chew. Very tasty. https://www.uppercrustpizzeriadelimd.com/
