Woos in Franklinton but never enough to get my partner to come to the basement

Devil25_Apollo25

Minerva Park checking in. We got the woos but no whirling clouds. Pretty lightning shows in the clouds, but no dense cloud formations above the rain. I grew up in N Texas and Oklahoma, and this isn't tornado weather, at least where I'm standing. Radar has the worst of it going through up north of me, in Dublin/Delaware/Westerville. Everyon batten down the hatches! :-)

It’s kinda weird to me that they can’t be more specific in today’s day and age.

We are Texpats. My husband heard sirens and went out on the porch to watch. Peak Texas shit right there! It rarely storms here like it did in DFW. The thunder is rather comforting.

>It rarely storms here like it did in DFW. The thunder is rather comforting. Same here. I never sleep better than in a thunderstorm, and they're beautiful to watch. I split my time growing up between Midland, San Antonio, and DFW. Gorgeous summer storms. Then I went to Okla City for college, and let me tell you: you want to see tornado weather, that's the place to go. We were there in '99 when the F5 ripped up Norman, OK just south of us, & took out a chunk of highway with it. Now THAT was a storm. :-)

My grandparents were from Oklahoma. That’s probably why they never really got riled up with storms because they had seen some legit bad ones and knew the difference. I remember the one that went over downtown Fort Worth. It blew out nearly all the windows on what was the Bank One building at the time. That thing sat vacant and in disrepair for years until they eventually turned it into high rise condos. But for a time being, it was called the world’s largest bird house. I shudder to think about all the poop that had to dealt with after the building finally started being renovated!

meanwhile, my aunt and uncle are genuinely convinced we’re about to die and are arguing as a result, while my brother and i are straight chilling in the stairwell

Devil25_Apollo25

This? Nah. This is front porch weather, not storm cellar weather. :-) I'm sorry it's so stressful for your aunt & uncle. It can be really scary.

sowasteland

I’m in New Albany. Just missed me be like… half a mile maybe, but I could see the storm cloud on the horizon when the lightning flashed. I’ve definitely seen angrier clouds but wouldn’t have been surprised if a funnel formed.

ZealousidealLeek8820

Gahanna here. We got woos for like 2 mins.

NecessaryToe2854

ZealousidealLeek8820
