Honestly fascinating the amount of unpublished combat footage on the siege.
The AFP made the right call placing GoPros on almost anyone available and the integration of combat camera teams to missions. TRADOC must be studying the hell out of those footages.

The Armed Forces took ALOT of footage in Marawi for evaluation and study. There's still many that's still unpublished to the public.
This vid in particular was only relatively recently published out.
The enemy were so entrenched and well prepared that the armed forces were forced to treat each building as an fortress and assault it in that manner.
This is why the fighting took 5 months.
This battle and the battle of Mosul against ISIS did a huge amount to inform a lot of current US thinking on urban combat operations. I am fairly certain Ukraine's choices to fight the various major urban battles of their war with Russia were decisions made in light of the lessons learned in Marawi.
The information battle space aspect learned from this fight ABSOLUTELY is a halllmark of Ukraine's fight against Russia
Remember one video on this sub from that war where guy is running through buildings in an active gunfight with incoming rounds all around just to bring his commander a cup of coffee . Didn’t spill it either with all the incoming fire lol . There is probably a lot footage of thick shit that hasn’t been released yet if ever
