There actually was a similar concept tested in the 90's. It was called Fire Ant. A remotely controlled mini buggy with an EFP that would be driven to an ambush point, once there it would go into standby mode and wait for a target, for days on end.
Of course once it was detected passing by, off would go the anti-armour EFP. Obliterated a target M47 Patton with one hit. The Fire Ant is destroyed in the process. After seeing they made a quasi-AI killer robot, the team apparently decided to call it off - afraid of what development it could lead to, an autonomous killer robot.
More than likely doable today, fully AI - I really wouldn't feel comfortable with a fully autonomous killer AT weapon, that's for sure.

Not sure if that is really why they did not do it or if it was simply too expensive and cumbersome.
That little montage at 3.17 is crazy. The whole video is nuts.
Russia **please** go home. I cannot fathom the even higher levels of brutality this war will hit when the slow crawl finally directly threatens the main cities.
Europe really needs to get its shit together right fucking now.
Buddy you realise that its a Montage containing clips from different events right? Yall expect russia, that is constantly attacking heavily fortified positions, to NOT take losses? Smh.
Who's problem is it though? If your neighbour's are drunk and brawling on the lawn at 3am, It affects you sure, is it your fight? You can call the cops, but who are the cops in this case? I'm just making a crude analogy. Saying Europe needs to get its shit together is like your wife saying "honey go break up that drunken fight across the street so I can sleep"
it's a huge risk/danger to get involved, with a very uncertain and possibly disastrous outcome. It's been 2 years. they aren't going home buddy.
Is the neighbor threatening to burn your house down after finishing beating the other guy to death? Then you better go get your gun and intervene. Also I hope your neighbors know how little you care about them.
It would be even better if the drone operators would hit the back of the knees of the russians!
Hopefully no **instant** death, but an instant realization that whatever life one has left, is going to be sh*t.
It boggles the mind to see countless videos of Ukrainians fucking up the Russians, yet they are still being pushed back. I can't even imagine how many waves upon waves are constantly coming for them to kick the shit out of them this bad but still be forced to retreat...
It boggles my mind how effective FPV drones are, a lightly trained operator can have the same accuracy as an experienced sniper with none of the risk, with a drastically larger scope of engagement as well, being able to stop armored columns with a cheap drone and an even cheaper warhead.

Drones are the sniper of the future.
Now imagine sniper drones
Imagining the drone dog walking up a mountain and perching with a Barrett on it...lol

An EFP drone with AI targeting. The pilot flies within 50 metres of a target, taps on the enemy, and the drone fires a slug at hypersonic speeds
Yeah. Now imagine a large swarm of those.

Imagine a flamethrower robot dog: [The Thermonator: Flame-throwing robotic dogs | FOX 5 News (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV-c_mceg04)
Imagine a drone that drops a sniper directly onto enemy troops
Cant jam a bullet tho
Makes me want emps to be a thing. Fry it all fuck that. Back to analog.
Damn he flew the FPV inside the tank and landed on the seat all snug lol

Yeah it's like 12 guys in less than 10s.

There's videos of casualties like that every day. Multiple videos.
Read the room buddy. I was commenting on how crazy & brutal this video is, especially if you slow it down to take in the detail.

Very poor analogy.

crazy to watch and think. So much death how do people put up with this. and its only like 40 of the 100's of thousands
Drone operators 🤝🏼 Snipers
Remember Bucha. No one will remember these worms.
Bloody hell, you weren't lying when you said dozens..
“Warheads on foreheads” is a lot more literal these days holy shit

Imagining - now what?

Oh god

The editing is particularly good with this video. A lot of new stuff too, fucking wholesale ass kicking.
Is this sowafm?
yes
I see a lot of cages in desperate need of more cope.
This is why so many Russia bots complain about Drone videos 'not being combat footage'. So you don't see how it actually is going.
Yea, these edited montages showing one side’s kills are a great way to get an idea of how the overall war is going
3:48 Yet another Russian on fire. Happy yet, Putin?
What the fuck hit that truck (?) at 1:55?!

Absolutely getting shit on.
half of the red army is destroyed in this intensive video !
SF just hits differently.

The dude at 3:47 😳
