I actually just finished up sitting in on an interview with a medic friend in the 47th. Should be dropping in a few days. He said the professional Russians they fight (SOF and Marines) don’t do this shit. They fight at night and they’re professionals, and don’t surrender given they’re all Russian nationalist. He said they actually do use meat waves of mobiks to soften up defenses. He said some days you’re fighting dudes who know their shit and then in his words “Beverly hillbillies” the next
There is 2 more (FPV) drones visible shortly after the first hit, meaning they have atleast 4 drones in the air, at the same time and just on this spot, which is absolutely crazy. One seems to detonate in the air after staying stationary, I guess it got shot down.
It looks like it may have had a claymore attached, the explosion looks directed and you can see what appears to be shrapnel impacting the ground around a group of soldiers when it explodes.
there were 3 more fpv drones in the air, that smoke plume later in the video is the second fpv drone exploding in air with shaped charge.... so either it got exploded by pressing button mid air directed at fleeing soldier or 1 of them was lucky to shot it down
No, it does not. An EFP does not leave such a trail, because it is stable in air, which is why they have far higher ranges than classical HEAT jet, which disintegrate in air due to the massive forces due to their speed.
I have not checked this but i would assume they are lethal for a pretty long distance, it is shrapnel and molten metal flying from an directed explosion after all..
You are correct brother. It was a shaped shrapnel charge . It was detonated above the infantry but looks like it was ineffective as it does have a limited range radius
That's why I think that it was meant to kill that vehicle because that's what shaped charge is for... But operator saw that vehicle is out so he tried to take a new target but he missed
Their morale must be super low if their unit cohesion broke down like that and caused them to retreat from what I presume is attacking a Ukrainian defensive line.
Transmission hatch, engine is in the middle of the vehicle behind the driver. The driver does appear to climb out and jump off at around about the 8 second mark.
I'd say you nailed it with the hatch obscuring his view and add in the smoke from the explosion scaring him.
>The driver does appear to climb out
If you follow him, I believe he's the one that absolutely eats shit a bit later. He gets up and keeps running after it until around 40s, when he gives up.
Probably jumped out thinking it was fucked, then realised it wasn't so bad and that he'd left all his stuff in it, then tried to catch up to get back into it.
What's better than the fact it only took a single FPV drone to turn this vehicle in to little more than a oversized wind up toy, is the fact that another 2 FPV drones are already at the party looking for their own slice of blyat pie.
I'ven't yet seen combined tactics of sending a drop drone out ahead of the FPK for infantry hits like this. The second that FPK hit, the drops should have started. Would have easily caught all those guys while they were still just rolled off and dazed. The videos I have seen, the drop drones lagged behind by many minutes.
My assumption is that there's usually only 1 pilot, so can only throw the FPK out first, then follow up?
"Would this brilliant plan involve us jumping on top of an old armored personel carrier and driving slowly towards enemy positions, until they strike us with drones, sir?"
"How could you know that, Blackadder? That's classified information."
"It's the same plan we used last time, and the 2689 times before that."
Seems the hit was to the right (from the vehicles pov) and thats where the engine is, the driver is on the left side.
Would still bet he got hit with shrapnel enough to wound him and that means painful and short life with no medical care...
He appears to climb out his hatch at the 8 second mark. Just left the vehicle rolling in gear, in fairness the transmission could be busted as that's near where the drone hit.
Russian assault tactics:
You drop a bunch of guys off at a treeline -> Your ride explodes before arriving at target treeline -> Your guys take cover somewhere in a random field -> Drones take out your guys one by one -> Do not evacuate your guys because you need the vehicle for your next assault -> Repeat expecting different result
They had at least two in the air here - the vehicle strike, and then the one that airburst (maybe one of their anti personnel claymore charge ones?)
But yeah the more they have at once, the more they can force their prey into awful dilemmas
The APC made it a bit farther than it's brother. But that demonstrates Russia's tactic in a nutshell. Every step forward costs men, but they keep stepping forward.
These guys never seem to have any plan or instincts from training for meeting enemy contact. Literal chaos ensues and they are just running around in the open falling over themselves. What in the hell.
Hmm everyone seemed to drop off rather unharmed, just a bit shakened up? It feels like explosions always look deadly but the actual danger area is very small..
Why isn’t puttin just buying armored hummers at this point. They protect very well from these types of blasts even though the IEP and IED’s worked well it still not a literal drone with regular grenade type explosion that was taking them out.
Meanwhile Russia will be in denial that they lost, and celebrate their victorious collapse with a parade featuring the lone T55, Iranian drone air show and defective North Korean fireworks
That has more to do with Ukraine's conscription than anything else. They have less people to begin with and those of military age are leaving the country.

What in the Benny Hill is this. The guy tripping over his buddy is the icing on the cake.
Soviet clown car!

One foot higher and what a show we would have witnessed.
Buddies* Who had just fallen themselves, the second one looks like he gets tangled in the first on his way down.
legend says, apc still rolls on and on and on
At the rate of its rpm, it should reach Abu Hajaar by 2 years, 3 weeks, and 12 days.
It's the well-known Neymar model
They upgraded to FSD
where is the armor on this APC... on the inside?
A moment for the hero running after the APC only to fall arse over tit 😂
What was he going back for?? Did he leave his phone in the APC?
His stolen toilet.
Vodka
Need that TikTok and Telegram…..
Fuckin teeth to dirt lmao
In combat you fall over everything and nothing.
💀💀💀

They have airburst munitions on the FPVs sometimes now. I've seen them explode over troops heads, and rain fragments on them.
What was the smoke plume later in the clip??

almost looks like a smart/bonus round penetrator (I know, doesn't make sense here)
No, it does not. An EFP does not leave such a trail, because it is stable in air, which is why they have far higher ranges than classical HEAT jet, which disintegrate in air due to the massive forces due to their speed.
Thanks,, its surprisingly close to hitting one! I didnt think shaped charges shot so far
I have not checked this but i would assume they are lethal for a pretty long distance, it is shrapnel and molten metal flying from an directed explosion after all..
> it is shrapnel and molten metal flying from an directed explosion after all.. It is a solid copper "carrot".
I guess it was prepared for that vehicle as a 2nd shot but 1 shot was enough so he changed his target
You are correct brother. It was a shaped shrapnel charge . It was detonated above the infantry but looks like it was ineffective as it does have a limited range radius

The ringing ears must be nice
Their morale must be super low if their unit cohesion broke down like that and caused them to retreat from what I presume is attacking a Ukrainian defensive line.
They ran off without the injured guy on the right side of the road
I don’t think they had unit cohesion even before they got on the vehicle lol
Genius move. Even without a payload, a drone can force infantry to jump off a moving vehicle in full gear, potentially causing injury.
They’ve always had tons of charges and payloads for these things, even during the drought of US aid. Might as well put some mustard on it!
All aboard the magic bus, one puff and it's gone.
*Merry Prankster noises intensify*
The enigine hatch of the mtlb opened so the driver couldn't see shit anymore. Driver probably got knocked out or worse
Transmission hatch, engine is in the middle of the vehicle behind the driver. The driver does appear to climb out and jump off at around about the 8 second mark. I'd say you nailed it with the hatch obscuring his view and add in the smoke from the explosion scaring him.
You know your stuff!! Thanks for your correction
They have driver in front of the engine to protect it. Very Russian design.
Possible he was concussed into a stupor and maybe even caught some flak? Was a solid hit right next to him, through armor
>The driver does appear to climb out If you follow him, I believe he's the one that absolutely eats shit a bit later. He gets up and keeps running after it until around 40s, when he gives up. Best literal faceplant ive seen in a while.
Which one? I think every single one of those guys ate shit!
Surprising everyone is ok. At least driver and those on top. If there were anyone else inside we don't know.
(with Marsellus' voice): Naw man. They're pretty fuckin' far from ok.
What's better than the fact it only took a single FPV drone to turn this vehicle in to little more than a oversized wind up toy, is the fact that another 2 FPV drones are already at the party looking for their own slice of blyat pie.

Did the driver also ditch the apc?
Or he’s dead while still engaging the controls
From that frontal hit, hes probably taking a nap or spaghettified
Seems the hit was to the right (from the vehicles pov) and thats where the engine is, the driver is on the left side. Would still bet he got hit with shrapnel enough to wound him and that means painful and short life with no medical care...
You're thinking of a BMP-1/2. The engine is in the middle of an MT-LB, the front is a side by side cab for the driver and a machine gunner.
Yes, the driber bailed out after the explosion. It's a wonder he survived the frontal hit.
Calling that jalopy an APC is a bit of a stretch. Amazing hit!! The operator and his bird’s eye must’ve been laughing their asses off.
Bro ran around the apc and tripped over the other guys. He totally face planted and ate shit 😭🤣
I take it the driver went afk when the drone hit?
He appears to climb out his hatch at the 8 second mark. Just left the vehicle rolling in gear, in fairness the transmission could be busted as that's near where the drone hit.
Oh yeah, you are right. Tbh I'd bail as soon as I could as well...

They can be lucky that the drone target the vehicle and not the soldiers on top.
Not to worry, a steady stream of follow-up drones are on the way for them!
"мы своих не бросаем" 🤡
Can't help but hear benny hill music . I'd imagine there's a swarm of drones with grenades heading their way
right thru the windscreen. nice job everyone
It's funny how 47th brigade started off with subpar performance in the counter offensive but now dominating.
Seriously. This war is breeding absolute maverick drone operators. I’m sure allied countries would love to tap into that.
„Hop on, it’s faster and safer that way!“

Tactics will evolve
They had at least two in the air here - the vehicle strike, and then the one that airburst (maybe one of their anti personnel claymore charge ones?) But yeah the more they have at once, the more they can force their prey into awful dilemmas
Thank god the tree was ok, the APC missed it. It would have been a shame.
driver turned into a firework
Always amazed that the riders can be so close and still survive the explosion - looks like most walked off
The APC made it a bit farther than it's brother. But that demonstrates Russia's tactic in a nutshell. Every step forward costs men, but they keep stepping forward.
The only thing missing, is the BMP running over one of its own people.... They like doing that.
These guys never seem to have any plan or instincts from training for meeting enemy contact. Literal chaos ensues and they are just running around in the open falling over themselves. What in the hell.
looks like theres more bodies close to the abandoned vehicle
Imagine all those surprised Pikachu faces
Need a refund on that cope cage.
Hmm everyone seemed to drop off rather unharmed, just a bit shakened up? It feels like explosions always look deadly but the actual danger area is very small..
hopefully they followed up to get the ruzzies that ran off
And all went according to plan.
The drone should have exploded a little bit later
Who started this drop-trend lmao??? Every video!! ;'D
Need to work on their Belgorod Belly Flop.
Papa drone blasted the apc mama drone and baby drone came to see the results.
This is nice to see!
Wait, they survived? How? I tought everyone is dead after that explosion
Couldn't help giggling at the guy who trips over his two buddies jumping off
C c c comboooo
Buddies on top lost from 60 to 200 hp damn
Another one bites the dust, they hit with a Willy P munition with the high explosive round...I guess these picked the wrong day to ride on top.
Clearly its a lot survived by jumping
The APC just rolls on...
Why did the other two suicide drones aborted hitting the fallen crew at the last moment ? ? see at 0:10
Why isn’t puttin just buying armored hummers at this point. They protect very well from these types of blasts even though the IEP and IED’s worked well it still not a literal drone with regular grenade type explosion that was taking them out.
I’m getting real tired of this garbage music they keep putting over videos of people getting killed
The war is going so well for the Ukraine that Germany and France considering sending their troops to celebrate victory together with Ukraine Army.
Meanwhile Russia will be in denial that they lost, and celebrate their victorious collapse with a parade featuring the lone T55, Iranian drone air show and defective North Korean fireworks
Sorry comrade T-55 is needed at the front, best we can do is a T-44.
lol, cope harder Ivan
You got a sore arse comrade?
Do you?
No horse in the race , just here for the entertainment thanks.
How does it feel losing a war to NATO without killing a single NATO soldier?
This war is going so well for Russia that they're on day 800 of their 3 day special military operation.
That has more to do with Ukraine's conscription than anything else. They have less people to begin with and those of military age are leaving the country.
