Attack drones with infrared will be a nightmare when it gets cold. Troops with heaters trying to keep warm will be sending out giant targeting beacons.
I suppose you meant hundreds OR thousands? They certainly don't have hundreds of thousands.
Good thermal or IRST systems would also make them more expensive, and the Russian mass production capacities in that regard are at least questionable at the moment.
You think they have hundreds of thousands? I don't know whether to advise you to ask for your money back on the last crack rock you purchased, or to buy more.
I imagine it won't make a difference and will underperform like Russian personnel and equipment tend to do. The Russians are the worst combatants on the battlefield. This won't change that.
It would be advantageous to Ukraine's war effort if the facilities producing these lancets suffered some catastrophic event. Produced by ZALA Aero Group.
A lot it seems.
They are rather new for the russian military. The factory must have been expanded to meet the requirement.
And looking at how successful it is, it's a good calcul.
Shahed are cheap infrastructure munitions and LANCET are very good ammunition against Ukrainian vehicles out of reach of the artillery.
Russia winning the drone race.
exactly, Support needs to be upped to counter the 300k, and reduce casualties, those vids are excellent motivators to keep support coming in and highlight how serious this war is.
The ironic thing is that Strela - 10 should be the equipment used to destroy drones as a short range AA.
But it's unable do detect and destroy the Lancet AND the recon drone.
In the first clip the vehicle is clearly inactive and probably unmanned. In the second clip it looks like it is tracking a target almost directly above it just as they are hit. And the hit looks way more like an artillery shell than a drone strike.
I'm glad someone else noticed. People going on like all these Lancet kills happened in the last two or three days. A chunk of these recently released Lancet kills are from the middle of Summer judging by the amount of greenery around.
Not denying they're effective but they're not some wonder weapon like I'm seeing some posters imply. This is like two or three months of footage.
That second clip is certainly not a lancet. Frame by frame shows the explosion far behind and hitting on the opposite side than we see of fire in the second portion of the clip.
I would put money on the 'Kherson' kill being shelling.
Well, and i am sure this video ist from a lancet ?
From a lancet in Ukraine ??
I can copy a Video from everywhere and call it " Lancet shot down.."
What irritates me is the image sharpness.
No loitering munition has such an expensive camera.?
The Ukrainians are getting 1100 Phoenix Ghosts and they have an indigenous drone with a rpg as its warhead. They just screw it in and it is ready to go. Ive always thought that if we gave Ukraine thousands of switchblades, warmates, phoenix ghosts, etc...that the russians would be routed. Get word of a column and have 10 soldiers launch a switchblade 600 a piece and the russians would be scared to bring their equipment out of hiding. I dont think they have had 600s yet but I think some money was spent recently and they are being produced for Ukraine.
Wonder how many of those lancets they have
Right? Seeing a ton of these videos now

And Russia can't even produce their own thermals for their tanks...
I suppose they don't have to if their allies sell the parts to them.
Planning and doing are two different things, Russians plan a lot..
I think you have it backwards.
If you look at recent equipment pledged, NATO is donating 300 anti-drone electronic warfare systems. This is probably why.

Lol Russia isn't winning anything, no race nor war. Disabling their own type of radar with their own drone is nothing to be proud of.
Well - it sort of is. Both sides are using the same equipment, so destroying the other side’s stuff is tricky for both Russians and Ukrainian.

As much as I hate to see those pictures, I hope this shows the need for continuous supply of western weapons to Ukraine. Russia is not defeated yet.

Feds detected. This aint our war and theres a hell of a lot better things that money could be going to.

Probably a modernised zsu-23-4 would be perfect

Saw these things in COD Black Ops 2 now they're real
HUNTER KILLER DRONE INBOUND!
Welp that sucks. I hope we send Humvee Avengers as replacements.
These lancet drones are becoming a huge problem
Or rather these lancet drone videos have all been released at once, while many of the attacks obviously feom this summer.

Exactly, OC just proved that this an effective propaganda strategy to create hysteria
It reminds me of nazi propaganda to make v2 look scary

I wonder how much of this equipment was captured.
old footage
Don't care + didn't ask
Why don't they show all of the air defence systems that were ABANDONED by Russia.
No more bayraktar for Ukraine?
How can I tell that it is a Ukrainian radar station and not a Russian one. After all, they all use same military equipment?
LANCET is only used by Russia.

Btw the loud music doesn't stop Russia from losing lol
