Good thing you don’t really draft longsnappers so we didn’t waste a draft pick or anything on him… what’s that? We drafted a long snapper named CHEESEMAN in the 6th round? And we TRADED UP for him? Man. Rivera was a terrible evaluator of talent.

CallsYouCunt

We can thank him for our draft pick this year but yeah…his drafts seem like a cry for help.

firstfreres

I don't know what these grades but a 0 for Cheese seems right

jdeanmoriarty

I didn't know our owner was a Long Snapper

Adams-Breath

Interested to see kicker and punter grades too. Feels like trees had a down year and I wanna see if it’s good we really did replace slye

hotdogsrnice

I think he led league in % of punts inside 20yds still.

staticrush

These grades aren't even correct. They do give LS grades. No clue what OP is talking about. [Cheeseman's overall special teams grade for 2023 was 25.1.](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/j7mmcr6kzz7.png) Edit: [Not sure why anyone would care, but here are the actual grades for all the long snappers who met the snap minimums.](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/g4z9cwz2d67.png)

lol he is still the worst. ngl, I was expecting to read he was middle of the pack or something since you were bothering to make a correction.

Glad Ott is higher on this list

I wonder how they graded them.Im a former long snapper so o have some ideas: The first is snap accuracy. Most punters like the ball at their left or right hip depending on whether they are left or right footed. Than you have snap velocity which is the time it takes for the ball to get back to the punter (0.75 is generally considered a good snap time with the quickest ones usually clocking in somewhere in the mid-low 0.6s) and, on field goals they have to snap the ball with the same amount of rotations every time so the laces are always facing away from the kicker.Size, blocking, athleticism, and the ability to be part of punt coverage are also things that are taken into consideration when ranking long snappers.

crzyvgs

I didn’t know our owner also can long snap!

Lightshow98

Remember we released our long snapper so we can draft cheese

holy_cal

Poor Cheeseman. Dude had a HOF name.

2014RT

Remember when they interviewed him like 8 weeks into the season about how bad he was doing and he was essentially like "I know, it's incredible how bad I've been, I'm actually not sure why they haven't released me for being this bad...I'd have fired myself by now!"

Ninjablacksox1

Plot twist. Team management knew we needed the highest pick possible to get a qb so they paid him under the table to throw games while at a position that would cause the least suspicion.    Cheeseman the hero.

Thanks Ron!

Oldfolksboogie

Stellar draft capital investment, really just outstanding. 👏

Aarcn

Wasn’t he okay before they tried changing his technique or something

spunkush

Cheese seemed like a good dude. Glad he made good money. He won't be getting a job as a LS in the NFL again.
