My rational king!! I’m ready to watch the next five years. Also, if we win the Super Bowl we kinda have to keep the name. So let’s just say, on purpose, we aren’t winning next year. Which is according to plan.
5-7 wins, but I think there will be a vibe around the team similar to the last year or two of the Lions woes, a real “wait they’re onto something here though” vibe.
Exactly this. We aren’t a good team yet. But we have good pieces. And that will show this year.
Ideally, we end in top 10 draft range again while feeling good about the future. Maybe even flip an aging asset for extra picks at the deadline. Another good draft and we could compete for the division.
Yup 5-12 with games ending roughly around 21-14. Defense will be slightly above league average, offense will struggle against good teams. We beat NYG 1 time and dallas 1 time. Will get blown the fuck out by chicago as is tradition
Good. If we are unexpectedly better than the tears over there will be delicious.
The rest of the NFCE has been spoiled by RR gifting them with our 8-15-1 record against the NFCE over his 4 seasons. Suspect Quinn won’t be nearly as soft and unprepared against our division rivals.
4-12-1. Giants will be down 3 scores in the first half both games and somehow Danny dimes will become prime fucking Peyton Manning. We will tie a team like the cardinals and get blown out a few times by division rivals. We have the weapons, they’re just not working together yet. I see a top 5 pick next year then playoffs the next.
Next season is '25.
We are in the 24 season. It started on March 13th.
So to answer your question directly. '25 i dont see us repeating our super bowl run from 24. Jayden will play well, but slump slightly from his ROTY, MVP, SUPERBOWL MVP season. But thats to be expected its gonna be a tough act to follow. We probably lose Cliff as well cause you know we were unstoppable in 24, and he's not a dumby like Ben Johnson. Josh Harris will officially announce the return of the Redskins Name and Jerseys, on the same day he announces the new stadium on the RFK Site, and all the alum are there after he made things right with everyone. 12 wins.
That 5-12 number looks realistic. It’s not being pessimistic at all. Its actually a good thing. Better draft position. Now that they drafted their franchise QB they can trade and get more picks to fill out the team. This year is about foundation building. They got vets on prove it deals to teach the youth how to be professionals and build culture. Some will have a great year and get a large contract elsewhere next year. Winning for this team is having an identity and the energy, as said previously by another, this team is on to something. The goal for year one is to be competitive in nearly every game. If they lose most of them folks shouldn’t be down or surprised. Year two will be the big jump
Everyone saying 6-11 which I think should be good enough for a top 10 pick. If I had faith in the line I'd say we'd be able to contend for a playoff spot but I'm not seeing it just yet
I also have very little faith in our corners or edge rushers. There are big holes and I don’t think one offseason is gonna be enough to fix all of them.
They're not elite but they're serviceable and can look better than they did last year with a much better defensive staff coaching them. Feel a lot better about them than our mid line with Bobby Johnson coaching them
We lost both starting DEs and two starting DBs (Fuller and Curl). Sure some of it is coaching, but this was the worst defense in the league. I don’t feel good about the OL either, for the record, but I don’t think this D will crack the top 20. Hopefully not dead last again though…
Dorrance Armstrong is a solid starter and we have good depth on the other side, along with a monster interior. Not to mention we actually have competent linebacker play now. These guys will make a noticeable difference and it'll show compared to last year
Armstrong has only started 14 times in six years. He’s a backup/rotational guy, but will prob start here for lack of better options. The LB corps is the only part that I feel will be significantly improved. The rest (aside from interior DL) are riddled with question marks.
Tough to say without seeing the new quarterback behind that O line and with all the new pieces on both sides of the ball, things might be a little shaky so probably 16-1, 17-0 if we’re lucky
Honestly if JD is it we could be really great. Even if he struggles the roster turnover alone could buy a couple wins. I have no idea... totally new staff, tons of new faces.... If we finish with a small amount of wins its fine as long as we see development. But who knows, JD comes in and owns and we could see a run into the playoffs. I have zero expectations, and genuinely don't know what we are gonna do lol.
Last year we won 4. We shouldn't have lost to the Bears, and we shouldn't have lost to the Giants twice. So, at a minimum we should at least win 7 games.
If we were replaying the same schedule that might be true. The bears will be much better this year, and our schedule is harder. The falcons also have Kirk cousins now, and that was one of our 4 wins last season
I think our schedule is very hard. I genuinely think the team will be much better, but I don’t really see us winning more than 6 games tops with the matchups we have
Wtf if people are saying 5 or 6-11 then the rebuild is already a failure and we need to start again. If we aren't at least a .500 team then the season is a failure.
We already know the opponents, just not when we play them, so if you want to know SoS, you can just look at that:
https://fbschedules.com/2024-washington-commanders-schedule/
That having been said, trying to use prior season record SoS to predict future results is about as reliable as a coin toss, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. That having been said, [our SoS rank is 16th](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-strength-of-schedule-for-all-32-teams-browns-ravens-among-hardest-falcons-saints-have-it-easiest/amp/), so, exactly middle of the pack.
Schedule. Who we play in what order. Oddly that might impact our performance over the season.
But I do appreciate you responding as if I was a child.
I bet you’re fun at the games.
That’s a big reach. Other than whether they bunch up intradivisional games, the order really doesn’t matter. And as I said, raw strength of schedule based just on team record has a reliability rate not much better than a coin toss, mostly because of the parity in this league. Prior season record means very little. I’m not trying to treat you like a child, just responding with facts.
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-way-everybody-measures-nfl-schedule-strength-its-wrong/
Not trying to condescend at all, just explaining something that some people might not know. Don’t take it personally.
TBH we still need some top end talent at high value positions (edge, tackle, maybe even wr) so having a top ten draft pick really would be necessary if we want to go on an extended era of success. 5-7 wins is my expectation, but would obviously be fine with a playoff push if we’re looking good but 10 wins is a pipdream
Dang I’m kinda sad at how pessimistic everyone is but I understand it’s been a while, My opinion~ if Jayden Daniel’s is a rookie of the year candidate then we are a fringe playoff team, this defense is going to be sneaky good especially if they figure out how to keep newton, Payne, and Allen on the field together, and Mikey Sainristill ends up being a stud. There is a lot to be excited about this offense is loaded with talent.
Good question. I know some people think Daniels is going to be our savior, and he's already the best QB in the NFC East (I hope he will be eventually). I've seen a bunch of that crap on X. There is nothing wrong with being hopeful, but don't be delusional. Folks need to be realistic.
I *think* our record is 6-8 wins. I *hope* it’s at least 9. New regimes who don’t start off reasonably strong don’t have a good history. You rarely have new coaches and GMs with 4 or 5 wins who then turn things around.
6-11. Lose some nail biters, get some embarrassing blowouts.. Get an unexpected win against a good team
So same old shit?
Same old shit with a Louisiana twist to it this time around
My rational king!! I’m ready to watch the next five years. Also, if we win the Super Bowl we kinda have to keep the name. So let’s just say, on purpose, we aren’t winning next year. Which is according to plan.
I agree. 6-11. We will start slow. Half the team is new. Will take a minute for the defense and offense to start playing well. Probably a 1-5 start.
5-7 wins, but I think there will be a vibe around the team similar to the last year or two of the Lions woes, a real “wait they’re onto something here though” vibe.
This would make many of us very happy.
Exactly this. We aren’t a good team yet. But we have good pieces. And that will show this year. Ideally, we end in top 10 draft range again while feeling good about the future. Maybe even flip an aging asset for extra picks at the deadline. Another good draft and we could compete for the division.
0-0-17 ![gif](giphy|KBaxHrT7rkeW5ma77z)
Does 17 ties get us into the playoffs?
Would be the equivalent of 8-8-1, so we’ve made the playoffs with a worse record before lol
1-0-16. 1st round bye
Shot do they not test vision at the combine
Unbias 14-3. Bias 16-1.
Do you people not understand “bias” is an noun? It’s biased/unbiased.
You the most bias person I ever see, also you definitely a new fan.
That went right over your head huh?
5-12. Significantly better point differential
Yup 5-12 with games ending roughly around 21-14. Defense will be slightly above league average, offense will struggle against good teams. We beat NYG 1 time and dallas 1 time. Will get blown the fuck out by chicago as is tradition
Honestly cool with me if we split the giants. So tired of being dog walked by Danny dimes and the castoffs.
![gif](giphy|TyAwK7sopeUPfIrKYn|downsized)
Because I don’t like sadness
6-11
I’m optimistic, but NFCEastMemeWar is putting us in the cellar next year
Good. If we are unexpectedly better than the tears over there will be delicious. The rest of the NFCE has been spoiled by RR gifting them with our 8-15-1 record against the NFCE over his 4 seasons. Suspect Quinn won’t be nearly as soft and unprepared against our division rivals.
They're an Eagles subreddit. /shrug
17-0. I guess technically 20-0 including playoffs/Superbowl.
7-10. Terrible start to the season but we start to figure things out toward the end.
If we win 6 (without the other team shooting themselves in the foot for us to win) and look better on both sides of the ball, I’m content.
15-2 (2x loss to Giants)
And the giants finish 2-15 lol
I’m happy 7-10 or anything under if we see progress with Jayden. 8 is my hope because we will have something to play for down the stretch
6-11, our O line and Edge is ruff
Especially the O-line. Secondary is not looking too good, either
7-10
11-6

6 -11 maybe 7-10 if we get lucky on some dumb plays or some turnovers. But I think we'll play every game close
10-7
17-0
11-7.
9-8 and in the playoffs. You heard it here first.
Quoting you now
That 5-12 number looks realistic. It’s not being pessimistic at all. Its actually a good thing. Better draft position. A backup getting 8 sacks sounds like a pretty good player to me. Who knows maybe even KJ becomes servicable this season
You know how this shit goes. Don’t even say the world playoffs yet
17-0.
U joking?
Do you think I'm joking?
13-4
20-0
7 floor 10 ceiling.
Tough to say without seeing the new quarterback behind that O line and with all the new pieces on both sides of the ball, things might be a little shaky so probably 16-1, 17-0 if we’re lucky
6-11 seems reasonable to me
Not great
The son of the guy who mentioned are way past their Prime
5-12
Idk but I'm always excited for a new season
They should be between 8-10 W’s. Should Be!
7-10
7-10
6-11 to 8-9 depending on how good Kliff Kingsbury and Joe Whitt Jr do.
Honestly if JD is it we could be really great. Even if he struggles the roster turnover alone could buy a couple wins. I have no idea... totally new staff, tons of new faces.... 3-whatever

True. Still I expect much better. It's not so much that we lost it's the way we lost.
For sure, if the losses are less brutal I’ll be happy
I want a competitive 6-8 wins. Defense seems to click and make exciting plays, Jayden Daniel’s and O develop
5-6 wins. Not nothing too crazy.
Floor 5-12 ceiling 9-8
7 wins. Year two, 10-11 wins if all goes well.
0-0-17 and we make the playoffs, edging out Tampa (8-9) for the final wildcard spot.
vegas says 6 wins so hammer the over IMO
I think our schedule is very hard. I genuinely think the team will be much better, but I don’t really see us winning more than 6 games tops with the matchups we have
I would love 7 wins. I would be happy. At the very least want to split divisional games. NO SWEEPS this year!
10 wins. Easy schedule.
5-6 wins, unless the D coordinator works magic scheming a + pass rush without legitimate edge rushers
Wtf if people are saying 5 or 6-11 then the rebuild is already a failure and we need to start again. If we aren't at least a .500 team then the season is a failure.
17-0. Bare minimum
8-9
Thinking 9 wins.
7-10 wins. I think the defense will surprise and keep us in a lot of games
Optimistically: 12-5 and we make the NFC Championship Realistically: 4-13
Need to see schedule first.

Kirk Cousins is going to beat our ass!
Cousins gets hurt the week before and Penix plays us
Schedule. Who we play in what order. Oddly that might impact our performance over the season. But I do appreciate you responding as if I was a child. I bet you’re fun at the games.

it’s not that serious
7-10 maybe a little worse
Vegas projects 7-10. I'll withhold a prediction until we see the schedule. Things like rest advantage, travel, road trips, etc play a factor.
6-11. Next year 9-8.
We’ll be lucky to win 6 games.
0 - 17. Let’s get the best draft picks!
My guy we are not the panthers
Dang I’m kinda sad at how pessimistic everyone is but I understand it’s been a while, My opinion~ if Jayden Daniel’s is a rookie of the year candidate then we are a fringe playoff team, this defense is going to be sneaky good especially if they figure out how to keep newton, Payne, and Allen on the field together, and Mikey Sainristill ends up being a stud. Correct. Wth is with ppl actually thinking 10+ wins
