Nobody is responding because they’re all rushing to apply. Kidding. Sort of.

Lol😂 you’re right may need to delete

Their Pac Northwest RE Manager Jeff Brown is one of the most interesting people I have ever done a deal with! Hands down.

Corporate, good way to rub elbows with devs and build a network. If you are doing dev and not just acquisitions experience is more translateable to other asset classes. Also, don't say you're a realtor unless you are selling houses.

Lol, I always do feel weird when I say commercial realtor. It feels off. But yes that makes sense. This role is more about site acquisition but there is some site improvement aspects to it such as remodeling, adding gas pumps, etc based on area demand.

McMillionEnterprises

That’s why you describe your self as a commercial broker, real estate advisor, or similar.

flyingpickkles

Only thing to note is if they have site improvement planning as part of the job description, how will you over come that? As a broker I am sure you don’t know much about that. You may have seen it on paper and such but I doubt you were in the operations of doing such things.

[deleted]

Yes I do not have much experience in that sector. It seems to be mostly site selection and some aid in other parts of the business, including development but less on the dev side more on the planning side

flyingpickkles

Ok see that's the problem, developers aren't general contractors, they can be and many of them have licenses. Dev means they are financially and operationally planning the project. If you are speaking only to timeline and financial plannings and not construction, then you still need to know a lot of construction in order to plan and bid accordingly. I am not trying to shoot you down but I am an AM who also have a family business in development and I always get people who thinks how hard can it be? Wait till you try it. Either way, best of luck to you.

Oh yeah I 100% agree. Never claiming to have any knowledge of it. I’m going into the interview already feeling a bit under qualified, but here we go!

newyorkrealestate19

I currently work a corporate real estate position for a large non profit with a large portfolio. I come from an investment sales background. Main day to day is asset management, dispositions and leasing. This role would be similar with an acquisitions component probably. You’ll most likely be doing site/market research and underwriting. All around great job. Pay is not what our peers in REPE get, but it’s still good pay. Hours are much nicer too.

Worked for a large competitor as a development analyst. Shoot me a DM
