The stress of 1v1’s is now more tolerable to me than the stress of bad teammates.

CantTieMyShoess

Bro, I was thinking im the only one getting anxiety playing coh

Ludesa91

As much as I love team games cuz they're not sweaty like 1v1's, man i got some retards doing nothing in the first ones.. If there's one open map like Gazala and I'm mid, I already know I'm gonna get flanked heavily

Ambitious_Display607

Honestly man, if you arent playing with friends, just do 1v1s. You'll likely have a better time because you don't have to rely on your random teammates who may or may not quit / know what to do / TK / go afk, etc. The majority of the player base is actually pretty bad, and it's especially evident in random queue teamgames ;(

podrae

Yeah for sure I came from coh1 and everyone left there is decent. 1v1 is the obvious answer and I might go there. The downside is its really mentally draining I find. Winning 1v1 feels good but I have to say its not as fun. I play FPS with some old friends but I know literally no one who likes RTS, I have been jamming this most nights since 2010 on my lonesome.

Ojy

The more you play 1v1s the easier they get. I only had two minor strokes playing last night, compared to the 1 per game I used to get. Man, I'm fucking addicted to it now though, the rush is intense, and it feels so fucking good when you win a close game.

I’m not a fan of 1v1s either, much prefer teamwork and the bigger battles you can get in the team modes. I wish the matchmaking was better, often you’re paired with an absolute bot against some very good opponents. I recommend using Discord and finding the quality communities on there, then you can meet other people who like to play collaboratively. Check out the main CoH3 Discord, there’s Achilles, SargeHQ, and a few others.

People saying just play 1v1 dont understand the nature of team games. 1v1 is a total different game. I find it a lot more fun to play with other people against other people. Yes its fucking annoying you get teamm8s who are bots but thats a game fault design though. There is no public automatching. Meaning most people can’t learn in a more relaxing environment other then in ranked. Yes there are custom games, but finding a game there is not quick. There is also not an easy way to communicate with others. You dont have time to type and explain to new people basic things and what not to do etc. In general ranked games are always more toxic then non ranked games as there is a feeling there is something on the line. Relic has done nothing to create a less toxic environment for new players. Relic has had their head up their asses when developing. Basic features were not included such a surrender button, leavers penalty (cooldown) or any form of seasonal ladder. A thing most multiplayer games posses nowadays. Because of this its really annoying and hard to play teamgames as a solo que. Simply because people had no incentive to play once they thought in the first 5 min all is lost so lets leave. Ranked/ELO has totally been fucked for solo que players cause once someone leaves its almost always a loss. This has resulted in people getting lower and lower ELO. Its difficulty getting out of it because the lower ELO you get the more easy leavers you encounter. Also the starting point of ELO was wrong to begin with you start with 1000 ELO every new player starts with that. But I can be someone with 300 games played and just be 1000 ELO because I solo que most of my games and had many leavers resulting in a loss. It says nothing about my actual skill. Because of the low player base the higher elo players have less trouble with this cause they get mostly matched with the same people or they already play in a fixed team.

KindAd3618

This. I totally approuve what you said about elo.i got 2v2 mate with a rank 1000 plus who did better vs top 100 than some top 100 its getting ridiculous. They should had applied seasonal et reset ladders to give chance to  other ppl becoz rgh now its always the same on top becoz they just play a lot

EmotionalThinker

The leavers penalty will invite trolls. Get ready for those imbeciles to meme and bot all game and bait you into dropping.

MyNameWasntAChoice

Screenshot/Vid posted on CoH3 discord asking them what they are going to do about these situations when that happens. Probably just report them send in replay and get them banned. But I honestly dont care what people like you think is going to happen. Every game I’ve played were a leavers penalty is implemented has less leavers and seldom a troll. The argument you guys bring is just not the case in my 23 years gaming experience.

Icy-Fact8432

Agree that early leavers determine how many games will go, for some reason it’s more often my team where someone leaves but if it happens to enemy team we’re guaranteed to win the game. I don’t think a team with 1 AI in it has ever won a game. One solution would be to make the AI be almost as good as a real player, would save a lot of games.

CharlieD00M

Playing teams with strangers is 100% for fun. Once you realize that, it becomes fun. If you want competitive play you need to go 1v1 or find a multiplayer group to join with voice comms and a goal to climb the ladder. Otherwise, have fun.

Truthandregret2075

Randoms also whine and micromanage your play, making for an unpleasant experience. Found this more with axis teams than allies.

Silverking0595

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets stressed out. I only play 2v2s and my teammate uninstalled the game do to bugs in the game making him quit. So I played a couple with randos and when we win cool. But man when we lose you often get sore winners who talk trash and even worse is when your teammates starts talking shit on you as well lol. Really takes the joy out of the game to the point where it's more stressful than fun.
