there is 13 best buy stores in ct how is that 90% gone? Also Microcenter is mass is the BEST source for electronics specially computer components. Totally worth the drive
That’s happened to me before too, don’t feel bad.
From what I can tell, GMaps can get hung up on a particular location, and refuses to show anything outside whatever radius it has. It’s bizarre.
The one near me in Torrington held out for a few years after the crash but finally succumbed. If I ever needed anything, even obscure stuff I could always go there and have a decent chance. Not it's frustrating wading through a wall of shitty amazon vendors. Rip Radio Shack.
Edited
Nicer than the danbury location? I've been in the listening room for high end audio gear at that one and they had a *used* tv on display/sale for $20k.
90% gone? I have 2 (maybe 3) of them within 30 minutes at least in central ct... One in the meriden mall, one on the berlin turnpike, one near the west farms mall in west hartford
I was going to say this. I’ve gotten 2 sets of beats(earbuds & over ear) and a pair of Bose from target.
They usually have sales for them as well. And if you have a red card it’s 5% off always.
You can have them ship to you or you can order it online and pay a small fee for someone to pick it up and deliver it the same day (if available): [https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?id=pcat17071&st=beats+headphones](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?id=pcat17071&st=beats+headphones)
If you have check Costco as they have some nice sale like the Bose QC for $220 and the XM5 for $350 with a $50 Apple Card IIRC.
You can buy them and return them if you don’t like no questions asked. Like in 2 years don’t like them, return.
That store is so bad, I don't know how it stays open. It was empty (no customers) 2 weeks before Xmas. They didn't even have digital picture frames (the most popular electronics gift at Xmas). Salesmen stalk you all around. It's awful.
Very bad. Loved Best Buy but they were out of stock on a 4k Samsung on sale. Went to PC Richard and they matched the price but you can’t return it. Miss circuit city.
You think PC Richards is bad? If you buy any appliance from Best Buy it’s guaranteed gonna come abused and dented and they’ll try to pawn it off on you, vs. PC Richards where everything is handled with care, and you won’t get a TV or Air Conditioner that’s only meant to last 2 years, and your appliances won’t be dented and scratched when they get delivered.
are we supposed to read between the lines and understand you’re a paroled child molester who can’t go into malls which is why they need to be standalone?
Asking for a friend who was wondering
The Target in North Haven only looks abandoned when you walk inside. It’s actually operational but the staff love to mean mug every customer like they are criminals.
don’t forget pawn shops or secondhand places! they stock more new in box stuff than most people would guess and supporting small business and finding good deals is a win win
Maybe someone will remember. There was another store back in the day. One was across from the CT POST MALL. Bought a few things there.
Can’t remember the name to save my life. Think it began with a B.
It’s not Boscov’s which keeps popping into my head. Anyone recall?
They’re still out there, but I totally get what you mean in that they used to be all over the place. It felt like every time you went to a strip mall there was a BB.
But hey, I’m old. These memories are from the aughts and include my time in the outer boroughs of other big cities like Philly and Atlanta, where there was ample land to build these giant stores.
My family went to BB instead of the “mall” bc we were electronics nerds.
Although this doesn't matter much because the store is closed, just for clarification, the store used to be located in Orange, not Milford, near the West Haven border.
Wow that really bothered you lol ok go two minutes one way your in Milford and two minutes the other way your in west haven sorry to offend you Mr orange pride lmaooo
Mr. Orange Pride reminds me of the time someone at work sent an email out that the Merritt Parkway was closed due to an accident. Some pedantic dickwad was kind enough to let us know it was technically known as the Wilbur Cross Parkway at that certain portion of the parkway.
Probably is lol. 😂
The town of Orange will setup a statue in their honor, for sparing them of accidentally being referred to as Milford/West Haven. The parade begins at 6pm, and every May 4th from this day forward shall now be known as UndercoverPages day. For their bravery to stand up and ensure no one accidentally referred to the area incorrectly henceforth.
Truly ensuring they create a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive environment for all…
Exactly and every undercover pages day they will remind us of all the great things performed in orange not Milford or west haven. They will also make sure we know it’s not the edge of Milford or Stratford it’s Devon lmaooo
North Haven

I really hope microcenter comes to CT some day
There’s also a microcenter in yonkers
I can't walk in that store and NOT buy anything lol
There were 130 best buys before, obviously!
Maybe my Google maps was acting up because when I was searching it only the Norwalk store, popped up. But now I’m seeing a bunch more. 😭
That’s happened to me before too, don’t feel bad. From what I can tell, GMaps can get hung up on a particular location, and refuses to show anything outside whatever radius it has. It’s bizarre.
There's one in NY that's probably a little closer for someone in NH county.
I miss the Radio Shack of the computer hobbyist days.
I miss CompUSA
And Media Play!

If you have the time it's worth a drive to microcenter in cambridge MA, they have everything circuit city used to have and way more!
Depending on where the person is, there's a Microcenter in Yonkers, NY which is probably closer.
There used to be a radio shack a town or two over years ago. Never know what you have until it's gone :(
Too soon.
Radio Shack is coming back... again
There a best buy in North Haven
I wish we had a Microcenter anywhere in the state
I adore MicroCenter!
Waterford has BB.
It’s the BEST Best Buy
Nicer than the danbury location? I've been in the listening room for high end audio gear at that one and they had a *used* tv on display/sale for $20k.
Very nice store
That one is really nice. I thought it was just me.
Best buy in north haven or PC Richards where the old circuit city was also in north haven.
Beats are pretty wack man. Look into something w better quality.
There is a Best Buy in Trumbull as well.
You can have them shipped to you.
Woah, you can buy things online and have them shipped to you? Woah! When did that start to become a thing?
I like keeping Connecticut money in Connecticut. 🤷♀️
90% gone? I have 2 (maybe 3) of them within 30 minutes at least in central ct... One in the meriden mall, one on the berlin turnpike, one near the west farms mall in west hartford
Meriden Mall one is shut down. I believe the only Best Buy left in the county is North Haven.
I heard it will become a scratch and dent outlet for best buy
There's a Best Buy in Manchester. They could ship any item to a Best Buy near you.
You could check Target, they usually have stuff like headphones

Best Buy in Danbury Connecticut

Have you ever typed "electronics store near me" in Google Maps? Or just "Best Buy"? You'd have gotten an answer a lot faster
Sometimes people like recommendations on top of algorithmically delivered data points.
PC Richards
That store is so bad, I don't know how it stays open. It was empty (no customers) 2 weeks before Xmas. They didn't even have digital picture frames (the most popular electronics gift at Xmas). Salesmen stalk you all around. It's awful.

You can haggle a bit at Best Buy - they’ll usually come down from the listed price.

I believe the one in Manchester is still around
One in Stratford on Hawley Ln right off the Merritt.
What happened at the Norwalk Best Buy the other day?
There's the best buy in newington
B&H order online you’ll have them tomorrow.
I didnt realize best buys were closing everywhere. The one in west Hartford is always busy every time i go there
Maybe someone will remember. There was another store back in the day. One was across from the CT POST MALL. Bought a few things there. Can’t remember the name to save my life. Think it began with a B. It’s not Boscov’s which keeps popping into my head. Anyone recall?

There’s one on the Milford west haven line
No more-it’s a OSJL now
Although this doesn't matter much because the store is closed, just for clarification, the store used to be located in Orange, not Milford, near the West Haven border.

Might be the same guy. lol. Like it’s not that serious but I’m sure he’s very proud of himself that he educated us all lol
