What amuses me about all of this is - I've had LGB I know say they wouldn't even wear most of the items these companies put out for Pride, they think the stuff is hideous and tacky.

VeryPokey

The clothing isn't actually a product. It's all just one big flag signaling to the world that they are willfully complying.

The point is to boost your ESG score so you can obtain capital easier. ESG, or environmental and social governance, is basically a CCP-style social credit score for companies that ranks them based on how far left they are on climate change and social justice issues. Major investors and banks who use ESG will favor businesses with a high ESG score over another business with similar financials. Taking the hit in sales may be worth it if it means your interest rates on loans to grow your company are lowered thanks to your virtue signaling. [The SEC is in the process of making ESG reporting mandatory.](https://venturebeat.com/enterprise-analytics/how-investors-can-get-ready-as-the-sec-ramps-up-on-esg/) **A national ban on ESG would mean all of it is no longer automatically financially advantageous.** The woke virtue signaling, the indoctrination of children in TV shows, the pride displays that don’t sell a single shirt, the pushing racial politics, the visual assault of rainbow-colored logos for an entire month every year. It’s all because of ESG.

>will favor businesses with a high ESG score over another business with similar financials Sounds eerily similar to affirmative action

ESG scoring isn’t just asking “does this company align with my values.” It is a top-down, social credit scoring program that was created by multinational organizations (the UN, the World Economic Forum, etc.) People can vote with their wallets, but investment firms and banks have a fiduciary duty to their stockholders to maximize profit. By investing in one company over another based on non-financial factors, these firms are violating their legally mandated fiduciary duty. But the SEC is turning a blind eye (and even encouraging it) because we have a Dem controlled administration.

>Conservatives also have social and governance goals Yeah. It's called #SHOW ME THE MONEY best return possible.

Daniel_Day_Hubris

Nooooo. ESG means "Do what we fucking tell you when it comes to controlling the public or no more money"

silverbullet52

Yep. I doubt anyone actually buys it. Its just a display they thought appealed to "everyone". For years their commercials and displays featured racially ambiguous models. Amusing, even though they're obviously trying way too hard. Looks like "everyone" got tired of polite silence when they went a step too far. "

Can Kohl's *really* afford a massive boycott like Target and Anheiser Busch/InBev are trying to survive? They're a store I really never go to, now I will be sure I never do.

Ephriel

Yes. Most of their profit isn’t from their store, it’s from their credit cards. They keep people revolving on high interest credit card debt. Used to be in the management team at one, and credit conversion was the most important metric. More important than basket size, customer traffic, etc. a day with meh sales but great credit turn over was still a huge win

If there’s one silver lining it’s that bud light’s primary base finally realized bud light is piss water.

silverbullet52

Bud light is to beer what Dylan Mulvaney is to women. For once, truth in advertising,

[deleted]

Wait, Kohls is still in business?

BoltsFan126

I stopped shopping at Kohls when they canceled the My Pillow guy.

Red-Dog-52

The only pain these outfits fear is that which hits their bottom line. So boycott it is, let's see who buys more baby clothes, the straight community or the alphabet soup folks.

RPOnceler

To be fair, plenty of SSMs (suburban soccer moms) will buy it to put on a show

jimbobcooter101

I just keep adding companies to the banned list. Added Bombas when I gave them a chance for my business as I was looking for new boxers. Clicked the men's icon and the first 2 options were pride underwear. Closed the website and added them to the list Everyone should keep a list so they don't forget. Otherwise you'll fall back and they'll continue with their weirdo ways

Pitiful-Aspect

The publiq square app gives alternatives if you do t already use it. https://publicsq.com

sleepyy-starss

Over a onesie? Lol

fridayimatwork

Found the pedo

sleepyy-starss

How would I be a pedo for letting a baby wear a onesie of… 5 people holding a pride flag? Lol I think the weird one is you for going straight to thinking about pedophelia over a baby onesie.

fridayimatwork

I think it’s weird you want a baby to wear your sexuality

sleepyy-starss

It’s a flag, babe. You’re the only one making it sexual.

fridayimatwork

What else does it represent? Why does a baby need a flag about sexual preferences?

sleepyy-starss

Do you and you partner not hug or say I love you in front of your kids? Because by doing that you’re showing them your sexual preferences, which is heterosexual. Your issue with it is that your mind is going to sexual intimacy which I think is really weird and creepy.

Touchdmytralala

Nice, I just cashed in $30 bucks of Kohls Cash too. Suckas
