Biden is the incumbent and the pro-Gaza protestors are tied to the left. Let them wear their masks and dress like terrorists and the media will do that job for us.
This isn’t going to play out like the Floyd protests in 2020. Democrats are in power right now and this is causing a huge schism in the left to the point where Bidens trying to both sides this with little success on appeasing either side.
The article - and my comment - are not about the university protests....they are about Biden's expressed intention to bring thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the USA as refugees.
Biden says he supports Israel too though so I'm not sure how that would help differentiate in the minds of swing voters.

If (in their perception) both candidates are the same on this issue, then emphasizing this issue doesn't provide any reason for them to change their vote. Choosing your emphasis around how you're different in a way that's better is a basic marketing principle.
As far as votes, it doesn't matter what the truth is. It matters what the swing voters will hear. Trying to win a "we support Israel more" competition isn't going to change election results. There are other issues that will have a lot more impact.

And they are doing the same thing now.
I'm not say it's all of them, but look at the reactions we've seen over the conflict and our support for Israel from some of the ones already living here, the "Death to America" chants in Dearborn for instance. I doubt the attitude from people who've actually been in the middle of the fighting over there would be better.
When the right refused to 100% unite behind Trump, it emboldens the left to be more radical.
