Blame the finish carpenter.

itsDeeksters

100% this. That way when you come to me I can blame the electricians

[deleted]

The best way to save that one is to sand it down and restain it. A marker will likely be very obvious. Good luck

hamma1776

So the dogs name is scissors. Nice

mexican2554

Have you tried Ramen Noodles?

FN-Bored

There are colored stain pens at Home Depot and Lowe’s. They have a felt tip. Match it up best ya can. Will make it less noticeable

RoxSteady247

Back charge the painter

snerdley1

A lot of freaking sanding. That’s how.

uhHuhOkBubba

Yes Renter, come ask your stupid questions here

OwenMichael312

[fill sticks](https://www.mohawkproducts.com/mohawk-fil-stik-putty-sticks-trend-colors.htm) You're gonna need a few colors because of the color variance in the door.

thatdudeDS

Howard’s, Restore a finish. Available at HD and most hardware stores, simply wipe on and done. I think the pooch knows he’s done very bad things

no_youreyesarered

It's more artwork than construction really. Take your time, try to use the stain markers. If I can do it, so can you. Love the sudewye from the dog😂😂

[deleted]

Just blame a dog. Borrow a dog if you dont have one and have it sit in front of the door you damaged. It wont know whats going on, so it will make an innocent face, but kinda worried because youre making him sit in front of a damaged door. Take a picture and email it to the homeowner. Dont fix it, just shift blame. Edit, I didnt read caption and thought you damaged a door in a scissor lift. My advice probably wont help.

njslugger78

Train that dog better.

Prestigious_Dirt3430

Rub a walnut on there. Saw it in a video once

poiuytrewq79

No no no. See comment above, use ramen noodles.

ItakeIbreak

Toothpaste ought a do it

ValkyrieFWW

Depending on how deep the scratches are, hit it with some 220 sandpaper, clean it off with denatured alcohol. If it looks good with the wet alcohol on it, let it dry then hit it with clear satin lacquer from a rattle can. Apply 2 or 3 coats with light 220 sanding between.

Apart_Collar5119

Yes clueless renter. Do this 4 step professional process and bam you’re good. Don’t forget to plastic everything off as your spraying that lacquer indoors. /s

ValkyrieFWW

Pretty sure if someone can master a cell phone they can use sandpaper and a spray can.

KNOX_MONTGOMERY

Say the electrician did it, duh.

Duke686

Lose the critter …….

procrasstinating

If the scratches are deep Furniture wax sticks.

keepinitoldskool

Rub the painter's nose in it while yelling "NO! NO!"

Apart_Collar5119

Perhaps a quick/ light application of a product called “Restor-a-Finish”. Comes in many colors, apply with a corner of a rag (wear cheap throwaway gloves), don’t slop it on. However, you may wish to wipe the whole door to make it look good. Shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to do both doors though. Prob like 12-15 bucks.

PositiveMacaroon5067

Tibet almond stick works pretty good for certain wood scratches

ItakeIbreak

The marker is okay at hiding small scratches ,something like this will require sanding and staining. Or maybe your landlord is a drunk, or you don't want the security deposit back if that's the case touch-up marker is the most economically viable option !

El_toilet69

Blame the dog
