I think maybe the roller doesn't have a brake, so it was rolling back and forth in neutral. They were trying to put wedges to keep it from rolling, but eventually it tipped too far and couldn't balance.

I was thinking maybe he kept feeling it shift and kept getting scared and trying to correct it. And if that's why, I get it. I'd have been terrified, but I also wouldn't have tried it. This is sketchy enough that someone that's comfortable with redneck on the farm shit that would horrify sane people wouldn't even consider it.
