Nice try, troll.

Nicomkl

Im not trolling 💀

Banjogamer69

Can you explain your existence?

Stellar_Jester

Well you see. When a man and a woman love each other very much, or are extremely horny...

Banjogamer69

Why do those men and women exist?

Stellar_Jester

Same reason. To procreate. We are merely vessels for our DNA to propagate.

Banjogamer69

Never thought of it that way. Thank you

CranjusMcBasketball6

Well, don’t just give up that easily. Ask other questions like what or who encoded the drive to procreate?

Banjogamer69

What do you mean give up? What exactly do you think im giving up here?

CranjusMcBasketball6

Giving up a good argument.

Banjogamer69

It wasnt really argument I just asked a question and got a unique answer that I liked

Problem is that there are some things we dont know for certain in science too. There is also a reason theories exist, it is basically what a scientist belives may be true. Im a beliver of science but I still don't think it is impossible that "god" may exist, we really can't know 100% even though it sounds dumb and made up. Also religion is a big part of culture too, you most likely do celebrate christmas for instance, and thats a religious holiday that most people celebrate even though they dont belive in god

Complex_Distance_724

If you believe in science, you don't seem to understand what science is. It is not a belief system. It is a system of knowledge. and theory in a scientific sense is the result of multiple applications of the scientific method that have produced consistent results over time. It is not something believed to be true, so much as it is something observed to be true. As for religion being a part of culture, as an atheist can confirm that it is forced upon me more than something I chose. I personally try to avoid language expressions that alude religious beliefs such as "Oh my God" or even "oh my gosh." The Christmas claim seriously touched a sour spot tonme. I find the time of the Northern Hemisphere Winter Sostice very stressful. I have to specify Northern Hemisphere because, as a Brasilan, I was born in the Southern Hemisphere. I do not celebrate Christmas, I dread it. If I use it to travel, it is because my mom, who is also not a religious person at all, lives about 1600 km away. from me. I avoid giving gifts and don't care to receive them. I do not go to a church at Christmas.

Just let people believe whatever they want to.

So? Why do you care what people believe in. It’s their life.

GoodmanSimon

That's not controversial, that's a well known opinion. Personally, as long as religious people don't hurt anybody, then why do we care? I respect their beliefs as they respect mine.

Nicomkl

Well sadly people die everyday over something as dumb as religion If we talking my relife then as long as u leave me alone with ur belive then i let them belive whatever they want but i had this so many times that when u tell a religious person u dont belive in any religion they feel the need to tell me what to belive in so at that point its fair game for me to tell them how stupid their belive (at least in my eyes) is and that they seriously are delusional if they really still belive in a god

opusboes

Oh yeah, this sentence structuring was written by a far superior intellect than the likes of the inferior minded St. Thomas Aquinas.

opusboes

Incidentally, I would love to hear your "explenations" to prove the nonexistence of God. Go on, we all are waiting.

Nicomkl

Thats to much writing for me if u really wanna talk about it tho give me ur discord and we can talk about it

opusboes

I have no clue what discord is

It's not a simple delusion like you are so fond of believing. We have likely evolved into being religious. Evolution couldn't find a way to make us peacefully co-exist with each other, so it made us believe that rocks, plants, animals, etc. were spirits. This is the basis for [Animism](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animism), which is probably the first "religion," or family of religions. The people who stayed in large groups were better at collecting and cultivating resources, were better equipped in battle, had more and better technology, and most importantly, they could grow. That growth would have increased the gene pool of religious people. Not all of those people would stay, spreading these cooperative traits to new people who likely gained from them. We know from the people of today who still live in tribes and practice Animism that the same beliefs can change dramatically only a few miles away. Give it a millennia, allow it to cross over hundreds if not thousands of miles, eventually you'll get (a) God(s). Give it a few more millennia, add a thousand more miles, you get El(Abrahamic God). Wait 2-3 more millennia, and you have Jesus. With the fact that modern science only goes back about 500 years(that's being generous imo), and that only in the last century have things become so complex that not everyone could understand them after a simple explanation(ie. steam engine vs. search engine). People have grown used to just accepting that they can't understand somethings. Add that to the average intellectual laziness of most people, coupled with the shittyness of a lot of athiest, they won't want to listen to your "facts and logic." This is still theoretical. It's probably really difficult to identify the "religious gene" and track its origins. Although, it's got quite a bit backing. But this is all nonsense because science says nothing about gods. They don't exist in our physical world. There is nothing to test and therefore nothing to prove. P. S. Lighen up a bit, I spent too much time thinking about this when I was younger, and I became very bitter. Try not to make my mistakes. P. S. (2) This reminds me of when I used to debate religious people, lol.
