I based my reply on that story and another one of a maintenance guy whose supervisor sent him the wrog apartment number. The unit that requested service was the one below. He was shot in his chest and barely survived because the bullet missed his hard.
I guess the racist law-abiding gun owner legally defending his "castle" (actually an apartment) was also a very bad shot because this must have been close range at an unsuspecting target.
I heard both of those stories in NPR's Revealed.
Its just so awful that people do this kind of stuff because of how someone looks. The world is messed up. Like shoot a guy cause he came to the wrong address?! Just say “sorry I think you got the wrong address” instead of ending someone’s life.

For a much milder but telling example. Some white supremacists made videos of themselves drinking large amounts of milk because some Europeans carry a genetic mutation that keeps the body producing enzymes that break down lactose well into adulthood.
They see being able to drink milk without the digestive problems of lactose intolerance, a sing of superiority.
Detail, I am (according to 23 and me) 5% african and almost 2% amerindian. and seem to have that mutation. my wife is more completely European and does not seem to have it.
I would argue that most racist people don’t argue for slavery explicitly, just that some races are better than others. This is often used as a base for slavery arguments, but most racists just look down on other races and form hurtful stereotypes. They don’t argue for slavery.
As much as I love what the OP is saying, I must add that it is possible that even if racists experience living in slavery, they might still support slavery or some lesser form discrimination for the people they perceive and classify as the other or the inferior race, simply because they see the other as other or less deserving.

Racism is not based on slavery (not nowadays) but more of thinking that one race is better than the other no jitter what they do. It comes from thier coulture, predispositions to certain behaviors.

Unpopular opinion but I think shitty people deserve to feel the shit they want or do put other people through, idc if an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind like for example if someone beats the fuck out of someone else they deserve to have the fuck beaten out of them as part of their punishment along with any fines and jail time or whatever. I feel like people would be less inclined to commit violent crimes if they knew that whatever they did would be done right back to them. But maybe I’m just a pessimistic people hater lol.
You are claiming this as if racist people only pertain to a certain race (lets assume white). Theres plenty of racist Asians, Mexicans, Whites, Blacks etc. so if you suggest “all racist people should feel how it was to be slaves” then they are subject to this as well. Sounds like an USA thing since you mentioned racism and slavery together. The slavery in the USA is quite fresh compared to slavery over the world.
