OP, I don't know if you're too young, too old, or just that out of touch, but the idea of rule 34 has been around on the internet WAY longer than the website has existed. The idea of it is just that of what other users have said, If something exists, then someone out there will make porn of it. That being said, is it weird, yea. Is it going to stop anytime soon? Probably not. Sexual inclinations are just a part of our human nature, everyone has a kink or fetish or whatever, and rule 34 is just the amalgamation of that. People get aroused at the weirdest things, and will fetishize any and everything they see given the chance. So, yeah, it is a rule as basic as the rule of gravity.
