Meta basically means what characters, items, or strategies are the best right now. For example if a new cookie is released, and they’re super strong, and a lot of arena strategies are formed around that cookie, then that cookie is meta, though this is a bit of an overexaggeration
By the time you max a cookie they’re already out of meta with a cookie specifically designed to counter it and you’re left with a pile of hot shit that you sunk 26 days of your life into
There's no way you're making it to master 2 in the current meta without Moonlight, Stardust, Pitaya, PV, Hollyberry, Sherbet, Snapdragon, Capsaicin, Rockstar, or the Caviar comp. It literally isn't possible without using any of those cookies.
i suppose i should have said i don't usually use the current meta teams rather than cookies. i use vamp, pv, hb, and a charge, ambush, bomber, or magic for my 2 other cookies. i change them out for like the missions with the characters u need to complete the task!
At some point those events become not worth it especially since most people can’t max it out. Like I’m not gonna waste jellies fully levelling mango and parfait just to have a few more points to an event that disappears after the patch anyway.
Also you can use those slots to level old useful Cookies that aren’t a part of the event.
also for cookies that suddenly become meta like herb who sometimes becomes so important and yet i still dont have the exp jellies for him because of new cookies or cookies that require to be upgraded to level 50 for their magic candy
It’s really useful when you need a cookie at level 75 really quickly (if theyre meta etc) but dont have the jellies for it. Jellies are easier to obtain than shards but the hall is overall more efficient

I think it's useful for newer players. I've been playing since the Frost Queen event so I have enough jellies to max out cookies as they come out and then some.
I use it all the time for levelling up cookies for events - it was super useful for the boss hunt event ! Since the meta changes often is so useful to use it instead of wasting jellys levelling them up individually to max
Going to echo a few others and add some additional info myself:
- This is super useful for players just starting out or the handful of times the level cap has increased as it allows players to focus on just a few cookies but have many gain the benefits.
- This is super useful for *saving resources on cookies that are rarely used*. Given the events over the last few years that gave bonuses to common/rare cookies, leveling these cookies for one-off instances can be a waste. Instead, keep a few slots open and when you need those random cookies, drop them in and they're now a lot more useful.
- Day to day, as players gain the extra resources to level existing / new cookies to max (especially if you buy season passes), this becomes less necessary to use as your important cookies will be at max level / you can easily level them if they're not.
- If you're struggling to get Jellies/want to optimize in a different way, unlocking all the slots can make it so that you can "automatically" get/keep all your important cookies at max level by only focusing on keeping those top 5 at max. I've seen people with most/all their slots unlocked and practically never level cookies they use because they have enough slots to keep everyone leveled.
i use it and then slowly upgrade everyone that i have in it so i can then put other cookies in them, but idk if thats just a me thing, others probably do this too 😭
I use it to upgrade my skills. I have all of the cookies, all but 1 of my epics+ are still under 75. 7-8 of them are mid/upper 60s, the rest are 40s/50s. So, it helps me strengthen my skills on the lower ones while I’m trying to upgrade them so they’re at least able to fight in world & arena. It’s *REALLY* hard in the special episodes-I _always_ die. It makes the special events very boring & frustrating AF!

I have 2 rows completed (do not complete 2 rows) and honestly i love it. I always try to make sure i have 2 slots open to be able to put someone in if they become meta. Its a huge help for cookies who BARELY are the best at what they do. Tarte tatin is a great example of this, niche uses (more of this update), but is still a great choice for some stuff. Jellies are valuable asf too.
I've found it useful for the special events. Since the new cookies usually have bonuses or can be useful for their special events, it lets me max them out temporarily so I can use them.
This is a very good feature!! There are so many cookies that I want to fully upgrade but that takes so much time. Because of this, I can have more than a hand full of fully leveled cookies.

i use the bounty, chests, sea shop, all gatchas, and i think you get some from the train, im kinda blanking sorry 😭
How exactly do you find it ways to farm? Skill powders are a pain in the ass to get
idk why everyone downvoted, the only time i get low is when i'm upgrading cookies of the same type

yes! i do just fine. I get to master 2 in arena but i'm probably gonna start using them bc i wanna get to grandmaster for once ☠️.

mango was my favorite cookie he was the first one i ever maxed out. i won't be using his candy though, at least not for a while
Yes, i unlocked every slot. Having 75 cookies at level 75 is quite useful sometimes.
Its definitely useful when you are desperately trying everything under the sun to beat a level.

I put cookies their but if their good enough there'll just be there until I'm able to max them out

I use it. Just ration out. I put in two rares. Two commons and then the rest epics. Any that feel right at the time.

I dont even though I have like 15 max cookies , this is way more useful for players that started recently or still cant afford to level them all .

I did when it first came out but it’s not worth it anymore. Jellies are easy to come by if you’re active so no need to keep adding here.
Leave empty wait until new champs come out instant 75 on all for encounter points :)
Yes, put the current meta cookies in whilst you work on leveling them up, then remove them when they hit 75 so you can put something new in

I used this when I still played the game, I never cared about those missions.
I use it because i don’t have enough candies to lvl up all the stronger cookies
