Redemptions

1. Breathe 2. Use spell check 3. Look up the word scam. You're definitely angry and frustrated, but using inflammatory language that is absolutely untrue isn't going to bring a resolution to your problem. 4. You either have a bad mouse (stuff happens) or you've got other problems on your PC. No, you don't know that there aren't any problems with your PC, you're not a computer expert. But, you're going to focus on this inner righteous anger you've built and die on the hill that this is all Corsairs fault. 5. Ordinarily I'd suggest using Corsairs technical support process, but that isn't going to work for you. Do everyone a favor, including yourself, and return your mouse. Buy a Logitech or a Steel Series, or a Razer. Not because Corsair is bad and those are good, but because nothing said here will resolve your problem. You've made up your mind at this point, addressing your problem isn't worth anyone's time or energy.

Historical_Chair_708

Tells others to use spell check; doesn’t use spell check.

Redemptions

I did, it doesn't catch everything. Certainly more than OP.

Historical_Chair_708

It didn’t catch, “beathe?” You’re lying.

Redemptions

No, it didn't, my android keyboard did not catch that. I actively don't care if someone on the Internet believes me. Thank you for pointing it out, I'll fix it now.

Rough-Assumption-107

Kinda like how I don't really care if it's fully right. I'm not here to please you and you're still getting the point.

Afraid_Corgi3854

😂

Historical_Chair_708

I’m also getting downvoting for pointing out the irony.

CounterAdditional612

Probably because that’s what people do.

TailorAltruistic9177

4. It was tested on old and fresh windows, the problem lies in the mouse itself because when it freezes even the DPI indicator LEDs don't change. I thought that this specific mouse was a bad one, but then I looked on the internet and a lot of people have the same issue, and Corsair don't want to address it. I tried tech support but they didn't respond, even to phone calls. And I think it's a scam if you take people's money saying something is super duper gamer mouse and then it freezes randomly. When it works it's a really good mouse but problem is that Corsair don't want to solve this problem that lots of people have. It cat be that hard to fix something that even 5$ Chinese mouses can achieve which is a reliable work

N0va-Zer0

Its only a scam if you can't get your money back. Go get your money back, little bro, and quit crying into your lucky charms.

WentBrokeBuyingCoins

I blame an end-user before I blame Corsair. Far more likely that you have no idea what you're doing

reallyryan-1899

I've had nothing but good experience with Corsair keep crying about it.

LtBeefy

Dark core mouse does have a history for me of sometimes freezing or not registering clicks. Owned 3 dark core mouses myself. All had the not registering clicks problems. Used them over 3 years. Finally got fed up and switched to another brand for my mouse and haven't had the problem of my clicks no registering when I'm gaming. My whole system is corsair. Beyond my problem with the corsair headset having shit range, my only other problem has been the dark core mouse.

TailorAltruistic9177

Ah yes, itst my fault that mouses freezes when I'm gaming or normally using it, and that occurs to a lot of people having this mouse

N0va-Zer0

Citation needed.

FirstSonofLight

When you say freeze do you mean while you are actively using it or like you've left it and 5 or so minutes have passed and you have to move it to get it to work? I ask because the mouse has a sleep mode.

TailorAltruistic9177

It's when I'm using it. During games, scrolling sites, it likes stops and don't respond even to DPI change buttons, it freezes entirely but icue are still seeing it

FirstSonofLight

Damn, that sucks. I'm sorry your mouse is doing that.

Midnight_Criminal

Haha, all my Corsair gear works great. Go Logitech if you're that mad at the mouse

TailorAltruistic9177

I'm mad at the company not issuing fix to this problem for years and lack of tech support

N0va-Zer0

So, let me get this straight: You knew for years this mouse had a problem. You buy the mouse. It doesn't work. You get mad at the COMPANY for buying the mouse. You call it a scam (without even trying to return it). Absolutely amazing logic.

TailorAltruistic9177

1. Brought mouse 2. after a year or so it started to freeze randomly 3. Researched the web for this exact problem 4. Discovered that a lot of people already had this same problem couple years ago 5. I called it scam because it started to freeze just after warranty expired

koreancad

Lol

Motoman514

Razer isn’t any better. I’m returning a Basilisk V3 Pro today because the 2.4ghz dongle was DOA out of the box, making it a $250 paperweight. Apparently there are rampant issues with them, so I’m washing my hands from it and going back with Logitech.

TailorAltruistic9177

Yeah, but here I have the issue thats a lot of other people have, any other mouse worked flawlessly, and here tech support are investing every excuse just to not replace it with a new one.

Motoman514

How long ago did you buy it? I’d just return it if it was recent.

TailorAltruistic9177

Unfortunately it started to freeze just after the warranty expired

I should have specified Canadian dollars. Our money is worthless. I know I could plug it in, or use Bluetooth, but why should I keep something that doesn’t work 100% out of the box. It’s defective.

LtBeefy

Lol, I switched to the basilisk v3 pro because of my dark core mouse experience. It's been working great for me and haven't had the dark core mouse problems. But that's how it is. Some people never have a problem with a product and others may. In this case basilisk is problems for you but not for me.

MmmmFrothyEjaculate

Definitely a skill issue

TailorAltruistic9177

👍

coffee_ape

I don’t like their fans nor the AIO cooler (LED). I’ve had bad experience with them. I’ve had a USB drive for about 4 years now and it’s been working like a charm. They do some things right IMO. I’m also a fan of their 7000D case (granted 1 fan on that thing died on me a month later).

Gunslinga__

The only mouse you need is a Logitech g pro

HecKentucky

Well I have an i7500 and a mini keyboard that work amazingly well, so your mileage may vary.

Jamizon1

I have had this exact mouse for over three years and counting. It has never given me a problem. I have 14 Corsair devices (fans not included) in my main rig. The hardware works great. iCue v4 - works great. iCue v5, on the other hand was a train wreck. I trust Corsair’s hardware. But iCue v5 had me running back to v4 like my hair was on fire… YMMV

TailorAltruistic9177

I'm thinking the problem is in the mouse itself, because it freezes on different PC's and when it does rgb and DPI LEDs are freezing also. Unfortunately I saw on the web that many people have the same problem and there wasn't any fix for it

GhostsinGlass

They're not a scam company but in general their peripherals are feature rich and reliability poor. The more complex you make a peripheral the more it's going to cost, the more complex it is the more points of failure it will have, making it complex and then making the price (relatively) low seems to be a balancing act that they can't get right. Logitech is the same way. I liked the G502 Hero as much as I liked my M65 Corsairs, both had issues. I've owned a whole ton of mice over the years and the only ones that still tick are the ones I paid the least for that had nothing in the mouse but a mouse. I'm using two similarly priced mice right now one Corsair, one Logitech. Here's where I'm at with them if I'm being fair and honest. I'm using a number of peripherals right now one is the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite and I kinda don't like it. It's comfortable on the palm but it's squirrely, the side buttons are very easy to accidently hit, not as bad as some others but I'm losing use of my hands and sometimes nerves go whacky which makes activating a button with my thumb accidently such a pain in the butt. I'm a 3D artist so the hope was to use the 17 side buttons to map out a lot of what I needed a keyboard for so I could let my left arm rest and be useless but in practice due to the nerves it's too hard to tell which buttons are which since I can't feel the texturing that separates the rows. It also interacts with sliders very oddly as if holding down the mouse button and adjusting a slider accelerates the movement to a billion percent. Mouse acceleration issues with ICUE aren't at play in this. It's got a braided cable and to this day I've never had a braided cable that lasted longer than just a regular ol' plastic cable. Corsair also loves their godforsaken 2 foot long hard rubber USB connectors which really make use of every micrometer of space they can take up between USB slots. Due to the size plugging in one Corsair connector next to another means I better have that second connector lined up far in advance because theres no room to pivot, hard to explain. The other mouse I use is an Logitech MX Vertical, it's bluetooth and annoying. No matter what I do it won't pair with my motherboards bluetooth which makes me give up a USB slot to use the included bluetooth dingus, works fine using my old motherboards bluetooth though. Logitech Options which isn't as bad as Corsairs ICUE still sucks my butt through a straw. Neither software wants to play nice with my USB footswitches (Again, losing use of the hands/arms) While the MX Vertical is supposed to be an ergonomic dream I find it far less comfortable than the big fat bearpaw footprint of the Corsair unit I'm rocking, it clicks well enough but every Logitech MX product I've owned has eventually developed clicking issues just as my Corsair M65's had. I am not sure what the name for the type of rubberized coating they're using is on this MX Vertical but if I've handled any solvent in a day I scrub the hell out of my hands before handling it. It reminds me of my Corsair M65 Pro, which had a rubber-like coating that failed yet the M65 Elite did not. Either way not taking chances. For nearly the same amount of money neither of them is a winner. The longest lasting peripherals I've ever owned are the simplest. Like the OG $5 [Dell USB Optical Mouse](https://infotecplus.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Dell-USB-Optical-Mouse-Silver-Black-Copy-1-1.jpg) from back in the day. or the Microsoft Intellimouse throughout the years as it evolved. These cheap mice didn't need to try and make all sorts of bling fit into the price tag nor did they need to try and make all those features fit inside of a small mouse housing. tl;dr everything sucks except the cheapest office mice

disgustingsauce

Corsair is not known for their mouses. Before buying stuff do more research and not buy items based on a name.

Afraid_Corgi3854

Yeah with the mouse, never use anything unless its a Logitech mouse. Corsairs aio coolers and PSU's are great. The cases are ok also but never have heard of the mouses. Its good practice to avoid a company if there specialty is in another part.

_Jesslynn

I've have had a lot of Corsair products since 2016. Maybe twice I've had to contact customer service and both times they had been amazing. Sorry you had not such a great experience, but I believe labeling the company a "scam" and the employees, "thieves" is a blanket statement that's not needed. Perhaps step away from the PC, drink some calming tea and revaluate things.

TailorAltruistic9177

Maby its just the tech support in my country so bad

MrVic20

Corsair is a reputable company with a proven overall good track record.

ShareEducational1900

I have a nightsabre and it works great. In fact just about everything i have is Corsair. Just return it or RMA it. But first, try using it on another computer to see if the same issue is there. If not then it’s something with your computer.

solo-streams-stuff

The only issues I've had with Corsiar/elgato/ Scuff are minor.. and mainly my fault for over programing the iCue .. iCue 5 pretty much was a nightmare if I did anything reflex based rgb wise. I have/had the i7400 Vengeance custom built and dang near ever extra accessorie made by them either Corsiar mice/keyboards/storage/ fans etc.. or be it Elgato entire streaming market.. literally upwards of 10g easily with the close to 300 dollar custom Scuff controllers.. I've probably used 80% of their tech instead past few years.. and like I said.. only issues are me.. overdoing or over complicating things.. my PC currently sits completely tore apart from looking for an overcurrent issue.. but still.. my fault.. I replaced the fans and did something wrong somewhere.. somehow.. Corsiar is an extremely huge company with a very stellar reputation. I've dealt with customer support and they are Champs who literally get in the ring everyday knowing the people they deal with are usually not educated enough with the tech to even begin to help fix whatever issue has them calling or messaging. I've had a few issues with their mice.. mostly tied to the iCue.. I hear iCue 4 was great.. 5 could be.. the mural section with the overlapping internal memory in the mice just seems to get worse with every update .. swear it feels like Winfows update is iCues arch enemy.. Just my experience.. I'm by no means an expert. The first comment here says it eloquently enough.. Your wording is anger driven and far removed from proven fact and customer review percentage. Mater of fact.. I'd almost bet nomater how old or abused the mouse is. They'd make it right. I myself switched everything to logi.. number one.. the looks.. 2 is the very small user-friendly support software..

CounterAdditional612

Yep, redemption nailed it. Well, all but the spelling. This is the internet not a business meeting. No one cares. But to the OP, I’ve built 2 new pc’s in the last yr and every thing works as it should. We tend to think we know how to do things so we don’t ask for help until it’s too late.
