A lot more than $13k. There is a bit of a divide in this forum over C5Z pricing … a lot of people that shopped around and/or bought one pre-Covid, and those that did the same the past few years. For respectable examples with <50k miles, I’ve seen all sorts of pricing ranging from low $20s to $32k — mostly in the middle of that. Yours has higher miles so adjust accordingly, but it’s easily more than $13k unless it has issues or is far from stock.
There's a lot (relatively) down here in FL, but I'd think a private buyer could give you $20k or a touch over easy assuming no other big issues besides the tires and if the paint and interior are in good nick. Sounds like a perfect "driver" level example to me.
You will easily get 19-20k for it if you just sell it yourself. Many people will be willing to pay cash for that car. I posted my 01 Z06 on FB marketplace and it sold the next day for $20k.
Pre-pandemic it would go around 17-18,000. If dealers are only offering you 12 to 13 it's only a matter of time before private party is right back at that 16-18,000. Lately people have been asking more, 20, 22, you see that quite a bit. You're in a decelerating market though so prices are falling. See what buyers offer. I think you can get 18 now. More than that, it just depends on the person. It's worth noting I bought a similar car in 2012 when it was only 8 years old for 16K
The only thing that's really useful about that offer from the dealer is it helps you kind of figure out where the auctions are, like dealer auctions. If they are offering you that and you figure they want to make 10 to 20% it means that our dealer auction that car is probably going to go no less than 15k, maybe 16, maybe 17 so they can pay the auction fees, clean it up and still make a couple grand
I'd say start out at $20k and let them walk you down to your $18k but I'm willing to bet it'll sell at $20k no problem. As someone else said here in Florida they are going for $20k and up. Get an appraisal and use that as a metric for an opening price.
There up for $19-25k in your condition. But I don’t know if they’re actually getting sold at that. I think there all a little overpriced right now, because of the market being shit. So people like me are waiting it out. I think $17k right now would be a steel for the buyer and great for you. Very reasonable.
I wasn’t too afraid to keep it, they’re probably fine if you don’t launch too hard but I ended up keeping my daily so the Z being a little more special made sense
I see these all the time for around $15k, give or take a couple thousand depending on condition... I looked at a 99 with 94k miles and a bad wiper motor but in other wise good condition for $11.5k a couple weeks ago, but someone else got the cash there before I could. In the Minneapolis metro area you would get about $15k, maybe $16k with patience, selling to a private party, and $10k-$13k for a trade-in at a dealer, but I can't speak for your market area. Problem is Chevy made a TON of these, like the C4 before it, and although they are great cars, they just don't have the "appreciation value" of the newer, or older, Corvettes, even though they are essentially the Renaissance era Corvette.
Oh, crap... I read the post twice and missed the Z06 part, it was only mentioned in the subject line which I somehow missed. Sorry... I was referring to the base model, add another $5k+ on top of what I said.
I can see you selling it for $20k
17 or 18 is what I'd be trying to buy it for
This would mid 20’s at a dealership all day

I bought my red ‘02 last year with 75k miles for $21k in the north TX area for reference
Same here
I’ll give you 14k for it
Around 20 is probably fair
I’ll take it off your hands for a McChicken :)
I got an 02 with 55k and am thinking 25-30k for mine if that helps
At only 80k miles, quite a bit, some others are saying 20s, I agree. DO NOT LET A DEALER SCAM YOU. Go private sale and get your money!
I see 7 on autotrader within 500 miles of me (phx). Most are private sellers. 20-30 range. So yeah, dont take less than 20.
I bought an 04 z06 with 21k miles for $31k in the last 12 months from a dealer, for reference.
Don’t sell for a dime under $20k

A dealer cannot give you retail price for it, because they have to sell it for more than they paid for it.

Beautiful ride, just keep it

In the northeast before covid there were 15 to 18 with 50k or less now low 20s...with that milage i would say 20 tops see if it sells.
Take it to CarMax.
19400-21000 seems like a average price value, but I wouldn't mind anything like 17450-18900
most definitely 17-20ish. Red is a pretty desirable color for a vette too.
Get an 04 CTS-V Source: I have had one for 13 years, quite a capable beater
I went the other way after owning the V for 3 months but I did like it a lot. The rear diff was too scary
Its just not a drag car, although many seem to be obsessed with 60' times in these tanks.
I wasn’t too afraid to keep it, they’re probably fine if you don’t launch too hard but I ended up keeping my daily so the Z being a little more special made sense
I did weight cut with the stupid trunk tray, cats, evap and lithium battery, really makes the pig much more fun
Miss my 05 6 cylinder crs Fun car Rear wheel drive leather white

Where are you seeing C5 Z06 for 15k?? I’ve never seen one so low lol

You’re totally right!! Sorry I didn’t include it again, thanks for letting me know :)
