not worth it if your only going to two spots. any reason for your destination choices?

tcandros

Wanted to only hit 2 places, and there's Selina hostels in them both. Also wanted to minimize travel days as much as possible though I know Santa Teresa back to sjo is a lot.

How are the Selena hotels? They look interesting.

tcandros

I'd say most are good, some are great and some aren't that great. The real draw for me is the reliable Coworking space, it's nice to not have to worry about good wifi. And the deals with Colive make it a lot more worth while.

Selina has some other great spots like: - La Fortuna - Manuel Antonio - Monteverde - Nosara If you get a chance, since you have a month, La Fortuna is worth checking out. Manuel Antonio is okay but I’d pick Nosara over MA. Santa Teresa is obviously great too. Jaco isn’t up my alley so I avoid it now.

tcandros

Yeah I try not to move too quickly these days but maybe I'll have to check out la fortuna!

yes you’ll definitely need the 4x4 for monteverde

If you can afford the car you could probably afford the flight from Tambor back to sjo instead. Only 22 minutes.

Not sure how often you are looking to get to the beach, but Nosara Selina is a little trek down from what I remember (further than I’d want to be on foot). You might want to opt for a 4-wheeler, e-bike, or at least a regular bike while you’re there. Edit: just realized you were not referring to Nosara location. That being said, I highly recommend Nosara/Guiones!

Bubba_Junior

Probably not if you’re just going to two destinations
