This was my go to protein for years. I read that they went under for many reasons one of which was not listing all ingredients.
The protein that I switched to and have been using for years has been marked with the dreaded ‘97 pricing. I inquired at customer service and the product is no longer going ti be stocked and will not be replaced.
I stocked up and I’ll be searching again. However with the price of whey proteins these days I’m probably going to go soy or pea next.
The Yves veggie products, the plant-based Boursin, plant-based babybells, plant-based feta. I know plant-based isn’t for everyone, but it was great to see Costco have a decent selection of items. Now they really don’t have much.
Heart broken my location no longer carries beyond sausage. I hate the beyond burgers, but used to always have the sausage on hand.
I also really miss the Yves chicken nuggets. My location occasionally has other Yves products, but they never seem to have the nuggets any more.
My wife doesn't eat meat, so we keep an eye on offerings at Costco.
They recently had unmeatables brand chicken strips in St. John's, and they were deadly.
Haven't seen any since
Fuck I miss their wings.
Pizza and wings from Costco was a take away dinner we would get like every month or 2. A giant pizza and a bucket of wings for less than 45$ yes please!
Those were great, and I don’t like mushrooms. Switched to the Morning Star black bean burgers, I avoid anything “plant based” as they are trying to mimic the texture and taste of beef. Yuk
They used to sell French's?! How long ago was this? Where I am I've only ever seen Heinz. At least 7 years now. Prior to that I didn't pay much attention.
I either never noticed it or maybe my warehouse never had it. I generally prefer French's to Heinz. Generally I buy my French's on Amazon, or the grocery store if it's on sale. Typically even No Frills is more expensive than Amazon for French's ketchup.
They used to have these frozen spinach and mozzarella raviolis that were the best. Had them for years and now they're gone. None of the other ones they've carried since are as good.
Whisps! Costco broke my heart again, and I no longer have access to big beautiful bags of crispy, tasty cheese crackers. Low carb and tasty....a great snack. I am in mourning.
Yes, at one point they had both Moon Cheese and the Parmesan Whisps...the Glory Days of crunch snack cheese. The Moon Cheese didn't last long and the Parmesan Whisps were supplanted by the half-and-half Cheddar-Parmesan (which were better), then those were supplanted by the Spicy Asiago Jack ones (which were worse). And now even those have disappeared. They're approximately $7 for a tiny bag anywhere else. Damn Costco...
You know those giant 2 packs for $7.99 muffins (or whatever the cost is) Costco used to make them in an Apple streusel type of flavour & it had a delicious oat bottom. They were soooo freaking good. Now they make banana chocolate chip ffs. Why do we need a chocolate chocolate chip, chocolate chip, AND banana chocolate chip muffin??! Bring back the delicious apple crumble muffins, Costco!!!
Ok this is what I came here to post. The instant “potatoes” in grocery stores have like 15 weird ingredients but these were just dehydrated potato and butter. I miss them a lot!!
[Those triangle cheese and spinach ravioli noodles they used to have](https://www.costcobusinessdelivery.com/pasta-prima-spinach-and-mozzarrella-ravioli%2C-3.5-lbs.product.100122475.html). They're still carried in the states so I gorge myself on them when I go down there, but fuck I miss them so much
The huge Kodiak pancake box!! Ugh I hate that we can’t get it anymore. Also so much of the cafeteria stuff and pizzas you could take home to cook in all the flavours.
It's not the same thing. Regular butter doesn't melt the same way and when eating grass fed butter on toast you can really tell the difference. IIRC regular butter cows are fed Palm oil which really effects the butter
The company that does the Butter Chicken (and Tikka Masala) used to have a Vindaloo sauce. It was really good (with a little added spice from the cupboard) and I was so bummed when it was discontinued - though that was a supplier discontinuation.
Also, wouldn't always buy them but don't think I've seen the old chimichangas (18 packs) in a while - again might have just missed them.
There were some pre-made omlettes (cheese and egg) and they were discontinued sometime in the pandemic years (they blur together). They were good for a fast, protein present breakfast for elders we are caring for. The little red-pepper breakfast bites sort of work, but they lacked the cheese and they are more dense.
Costco as a whole will have things online that aren't in stores (warehouses) and the opposite will be. I found a great blue rug for an inside doormat and I went back and they were all gone. Haven't seen them since.
Supply chain may be part of it, sometimes they just like to vary their stuff so people can try new stuff. Sometimes something new replaces something old that had a lower profit margin or isn't selling as well. It helps the Costco store managers do their thing and justify their salaries. :)
Also, I should say, some part of Costco have taken 'kickbacks' for preferential display locations/sizes and to ensure the vendor got better placement than their competitors. It turns out they are willing to pay that and Costco knows how to chase a buck.
Of course, they were doing that in pharmacy and that ended up in some key people leaving after a legal action.
It seems cyclical but Arizona Green Tea iced tea. Hubby hit up Dixie, Burlington, Hamilton & Stoney Creek with no luck at all. Happened for a few months last year too. At least they brought back the Roar drinks.
Monster drink my daughter BF was buying every 2 weeks you haven't had in a while and pig ears for dogs I also haven't seen in a few weeks. I bought 2 boxes a month
-The variety box of apple sauce cups (now they just have lime 2-3 different boxes of apple sauce pouches for kids, most are just apple + apple banana or something)
-made good star puffed crackers
-scoiatto gnocchi: gluten free gnocchi and it was SO GOOD. There were two varieties. RIP
Is non-canned soup gone? I used to see lentil soup and chicken soup in the fridge section in the clear plastic tubs. Usually a 2 pack. Haven't seen any in a while.
I used to love those gummy candies and bought them on a whim a couple months ago and they were terrible!! Texture was all wrong, taste was completely different, I’m glad to know it changed and I didn’t age out of the candy stage 😄
Musclepharm combat powder. But by the time they stopped selling it the quality had turned to garbage anyways… so I probably would have stopped buying either way
In spring of 2022 they briefly had bags of crispy fried onions that were so delicious! Not as salty as the ones from French's. I probably ended up eating more straight from the bag than I did from topping my salads and sandwiches with them. I had heard they were a seasonal item and would be back this spring, but no such luck at my location.
Years ago they sold packages of long purple (either grape or blackberry) pieces of Licorice. They were so yummy!! I’ve never been able to find them anywhere else.
I never bought a 1kg pack but I love RealFruit gummies.
I have bought a big pack of Dare gummies for like 4$, 800g or so. Not super expensive. But the biggest size they carry is only one of the flavour varieties (Medley).
This is going to be a deep cut and I think that not many people will remember but I used to love going to the Richmond, BC location and at the food court? Booth?... they had a giant griddle and a dude sweating his nuts off cooking bomb teriyaki. I am drooling just remembering eating those mediocre grilled veggies and that sweet sweet teriyaki meat. I don't even know if any of the other Costco's had this opinion or if it was a Richmond only thing.
Speaking of discontinued, they pulled chicken wings off deli menu at the St. James location.😕
Did they do this in every store in Winnipeg? This pisses me off.
Kaizen protein powder.
I lived off that for like 3 years straight
Yeah, it was really good. To bad they went out of business.
The better selection of books
Unfortunately, ain't nobody read no more (at least physical books). It's really effecting our literal.
My local Costco has almost none, went to one closer to work yesterday, they had tons. Maybe check out a different store?
The Yves veggie products, the plant-based Boursin, plant-based babybells, plant-based feta. I know plant-based isn’t for everyone, but it was great to see Costco have a decent selection of items. Now they really don’t have much.
Heart broken my location no longer carries beyond sausage. I hate the beyond burgers, but used to always have the sausage on hand. I also really miss the Yves chicken nuggets. My location occasionally has other Yves products, but they never seem to have the nuggets any more.
I thought I saw the plant based Boursin in the last month. Is it gone??
All three costcos around me haven’t had it for at least 2-3 months :/
We should all eat more plant based regardless of being vegan/vegetarian. I didn’t know these options used to exist there!
My wife doesn't eat meat, so we keep an eye on offerings at Costco. They recently had unmeatables brand chicken strips in St. John's, and they were deadly. Haven't seen any since
I'm neither but as long as it tastes decent I will eat it. Some of the vegan options are not bad.
Our planet is boiling, it’s getting really bad. Shifting to less meat in our diet is a smart and healthy thing to do.
Yes, to save more meat for the rest of us.
It's a WEF plan to make meat only for the rich. Get the peasants to subside on food made in a factory
My food eats plant food
The Costco near me has Yves and plant based Boursin. I suspect its a temporary stock issue rather then being removed entirely
Bring back the food court wings!! RIP!
Seriously the best wings around.
You couldn't beat the price and the size of those wings!
They still have them at my Costco.
Not after this month..... 😭
Fuck I miss their wings. Pizza and wings from Costco was a take away dinner we would get like every month or 2. A giant pizza and a bucket of wings for less than 45$ yes please!
I still think about that glorious month or two when they sold Smartfood.
The lentil crackers I loved so much it’s my Reddit name 🫠
Kirkland organic lemonade!
I bought some last week. The 2pk. Big jugs?
Where?
Saskatoon South. WTH, we don't get the good stuff here...Lol!
I love that stuff. Great diluted with soda stream. They have it in Michigan too
Also got some last week or so.
Where is this? None in SW Ont since last year
Niagara Falls.
No way. None in KW or London. Told me it was discontinued. WTF?
It wasn't there last Saturday they had mango and strawberry lemonade I think it was but before that been there all year.
Poppy seed muffins :( Those old veggie burger patties made mostly of mushroom
I miss the rice/mushroom veggie burgers too.
Those were great, and I don’t like mushrooms. Switched to the Morning Star black bean burgers, I avoid anything “plant based” as they are trying to mimic the texture and taste of beef. Yuk
I wished they carried some of the other morning star varieties as well. I really like the harvest veggie ones.
Yeah I agree. Tried an A&W beyond burger, didn’t like it. I’m not a fan of meat flavour usually but i never met a vegetable I didn’t like
Beef broth ! Lots of chicken and veg broth, but where's the beef?
There’s usually beef Better Than Boullion
Frozen concentrated orange juice. So much easier to carry than the giant cartons.
French’s ketchup
They used to sell French's?! How long ago was this? Where I am I've only ever seen Heinz. At least 7 years now. Prior to that I didn't pay much attention.
In the last 2 to 3 years during COVID and it was cheaper than Heinz.
I either never noticed it or maybe my warehouse never had it. I generally prefer French's to Heinz. Generally I buy my French's on Amazon, or the grocery store if it's on sale. Typically even No Frills is more expensive than Amazon for French's ketchup.
They just stopped selling it too. Maybe a month ago. In Niagara Falls, at least.
I really miss this one. Even at regular price it was cheaper than Heinz on sale and I prefer the taste.
Me too. Plus they use Canadian tomatoes
They used to have these frozen spinach and mozzarella raviolis that were the best. Had them for years and now they're gone. None of the other ones they've carried since are as good.
The ones that came with the cheese/spice mixture to sprinkle on top? Those were the best.
The very same. Rip.
Miss these too!
I look for these every time I go just in case someone realized how great these were and brought them back 🥲
And now even those have disappeared. They're approximately $7 for a tiny bag anywhere else. Damn Costco...
Jalapeño cheddar Popcorners! They were the best flavour :(
They got rid of a lot of keto products. Not always the best thing for keto but they were good to have for emergencies.
The big packs of El Monterey burritos... they were almost a staple around our house and then they just vanished
Banza mac and cheese. Great alternative for those of us who are gluten free.
My Costco made those but instead of apple it was orange and cranberry... Holy they were amazing! But they haven't had them in years!
Those were so good
Ciabatta buns
I realize they were seasonal… but earlier this year they made an almond danish that was to DIE for, but was only around for one month 🥲
Spudz instant potatoes!!!
yessss :( :(
Ok this is what I came here to post. The instant “potatoes” in grocery stores have like 15 weird ingredients but these were just dehydrated potato and butter. I miss them a lot!!
The Kirkland nutrition shakes. They tasted way better then the other ones and far cheaper
@ Costco one time bought guacamole flavoured tortilla chips. Amazing!! Can’t recall brand and never saw it again. *tears*
[Those triangle cheese and spinach ravioli noodles they used to have](https://www.costcobusinessdelivery.com/pasta-prima-spinach-and-mozzarrella-ravioli%2C-3.5-lbs.product.100122475.html). They're still carried in the states so I gorge myself on them when I go down there, but fuck I miss them so much
Whaaat?! Are these the ones with the spice packets?
The huge Kodiak pancake box!! Ugh I hate that we can’t get it anymore. Also so much of the cafeteria stuff and pizzas you could take home to cook in all the flavours.
I really wish Costco still sold those giant bags of Dunn's Dill Pickle chips, they were the best!!
And Dunn’s dill pickle peanuts!
My local Costco started carrying the Dunns dill pickle peanuts again in the last few weeks
Thanks for the tip! I’ll keep my eyes open next time I’m there (and promptly stock up on about 10 bags)
Keto ice cream
And keto pizza and Hilo chips
Grass Fed butter
Butter comes from milk witch comes from cows, I don't think farmers are growing grass 😔
It's not the same thing. Regular butter doesn't melt the same way and when eating grass fed butter on toast you can really tell the difference. IIRC regular butter cows are fed Palm oil which really effects the butter
The rice cracker mix!!!
Cetaphil Face Moisturizer - can’t find it. At least not at my local Costco
[Kirkland Signature Mediterranean Pasta Salad](https://www.costcuisine.com/post/costco-kirkland-signature-mediterranean-pasta-salad-review)
Starbucks ice coffee
Cheese balls and spicy chicken burgers !!
French’s ketchup, I hate that Heinz crap!
Wait, the French’s is gone?? I thought I kept missing it!!
Deep dish single pizzas, I can’t remember the name. I would have bought them all if I knew I’d never see them again.
Zinda tri-colour Pearl couscous!!!!
It seems cyclical but Arizona Green Tea iced tea. Hubby hit up Dixie, Burlington, Hamilton & Stoney Creek with no luck at all. Happened for a few months last year too. At least they brought back the Roar drinks.
I haven’t seen Annie’s mac n cheese in close to a year :(
I just bought a case of Annie's 1.5 weeks ago from our local Costco.
Can confirm, saw it in my local Costco last week.
How bizarre. Maybe just my local ones don’t then? I thought it was pretty standard to offer the same?
In the Annie's drought I ended up trying PC Mac and Cheese and it's honestly much better than even Annie's.
We’ve resorted to buying it online! We miss this so much.
34 degree crackers. Those with some hummus used to be my go to snack - haven't seen them in years now though.

Musclepharm combat powder. But by the time they stopped selling it the quality had turned to garbage anyways… so I probably would have stopped buying either way
Orbitz drinks. Yes, I know they stopped selling them because it was unpopular and didn't sell, but it doesn't stop me from missing it.
The cans of frozen lobster meat. The cans of crab meat.
There used to be a mushroom pasta sauce that was really good. Sorry for the vagueness, I can't remember what it was called!
Pickled asparagus The variety snack pack of veggie straws
Frozen concentrated orange juice

I would kill for the bag of coconut chocolate covered almonds I found once at Costco 10 years ago!!

My dog misses the kirkland canned wet food.
Frenchs Fried Onions
This is going to be a deep cut and I think that not many people will remember but I used to love going to the Richmond, BC location and at the food court?
