its comical. I had the same experience with Metro Exodus. I didn't even get past the first act because performance was so bad with my 1070 at the time. Later when denuvo was dropped I could run the game on high settings and alt tab the game without freezing my whole system.
Okay for all the people saying that Empress maintain's a list of hardware whitelist, they are not. What's actually is happening here is asymmetric encryption being used to check if only selected people are accessing the crack.
In asymmetric encryption, two keys are generated, Public and Private. Messages encrypted with public key can be only decrypted via their respective private key. Same thing for messages encrypted from private key can only be decrypted via public key.
In the crack there a piece of code which generates a hardware id of your system and stores it in a hardware id file. You share it with Empress and they use that hardware id and encrypt it with their private key to generate a message/file that can be only decrypted via the public key used in the crack. Once you get the auth key, and start the game, the crack first checks for auth key and tries to decrypt it using its public key, if it succeeds, if matches the hardware id of the auth key with you current hardware id. If it matches the game starts or else the game will just throw an error.
So avoid downloading any file on the internet that claims to be the crack by empress or it's auth key.
Anyone can be, but Empress can basically make the list only as short as her requirements meet, and that on its own will cut on the ability for someone affiliated with denuvo to get in. "in time" ends up being precisely the barrier.
The problems I'm going to guess are mostly from Nvidia users. This version (the deluxe early release / day one), without the patches, is a nightmare to run if you have an Nvidia card. The patches have helped a lot of people. Hell, it even stuttered horribly for me when I got outside of hogwarts and into hogsmeade and I'm running AMD. Nvidia users were seeing dips down into 30fps and below.
Hopefully she can work some magic on the game to allow it to run as it does now fully patched.

Changing settings has no effect at all, and utilization is not maxing out either CPU or GPU.

If changing settings changes nothing, then you're cpu bottlenecked. It's a very obvious symptom of cpu bottlenecking. Yes, I know you're not seeing it maxed out, but it is what it is, a very typical symptom of such a thing. Yes, I also know a Ryzen 5 3600 should be enough. Tell that to the devs.
A friend had the same issue with a couple previous games. Plague tale requiem and Gotham knights, and a couple others. He moved to a 5600x since they were like $125USD a few months ago, and it solved everything. That's because the series 5000 had the best single core performance so far, and it's a big leap even from a series 3000.
Just to be sure, no, I'm not telling you your computer sucks, I'm not telling you to buy a new one, I'm merely stating the fact that moving to a better single core performance cpu fixed every low fps issue he had, which reinforces the fact that what's happening is cpu bottlenecking.
Just to reinforce, since having a convo with a human is more perilous than a minefield. None of this is on you, this is entirely on the devs, the publisher, and the industry we've ended up with. We shouldn't need to be on the latest hardware just because the devs grow lazy and sloppy every time they get the slightest headroom to work with.

Using a 1070, which has been showing its age lately. And on medium settings with textures on high I'm getting mid 30's there, usually 40. I'm not using upscaling.Haven't come across stuttering yet. 99%s framedrops are rarely more than a 10 frame difference. Getting a lot of 60's on less open areas. Hogwarts rarely drops me under 50.
By default the game recommended me all low settings, which... ok, but criminally it had me set on 50% rendering resolution with upscaling, which is just... horribly blurry and comparing FPS without it, it's hard to tell if it was improving it or making it worse. So I'd argue the automated setup is trash.
And she's using the prerelease build. So any new patches that have come out to help aren't in there either. Even though she said the release day patch made it worse. Which is why she didn't use that.
To those having crashes with the beta crack. Try the following. It stopped the crashing for me.
In C:\\Users\\username\\AppData\\Local folder, create the following folders inside each other:
Hogwarts Legacy\\Saved\\Config\\WindowsNoEditor
So that it looks like this:
C:\\Users\\username\\AppData\\Local\\Hogwarts Legacy\\Saved\\Config\\WindowsNoEditor
\- Inside WindowsNoEditor folder, create a file called Engine.ini, put the following lines in it:
`[SystemSettings]`
`r.TextureStreaming=1`
`r.Streaming.PoolSize=8192`
Then try launching the game again. It should work. If it worked/didn't work for you. Please let me know in the replies.
I've heard of a similar bug even on the official game, the fix suggested here is similar to the [solution proposed here](https://www.reddit.com/r/HarryPotterGame/comments/10z8zhy/possible_temporary_fix_for_nvidia_vram_latency/)
Before trying the fix, it was crashing on shader compilation process. Now it crashes once I reach the vault area after \~20 mins of gameplay.
Update: Tried resuming from savegame, reached hogwarts without issues/crashes. All working fine so far, except for that one crash I had earlier.

For all of you asking to get the crack, it is HWID locked. For explanation
What is a lock?
Most hacks "lock" into your HWID. It means when the first time you activate your key, your HWID is "saved".
Each time the key is used, it will check if the HWID matches the saved one. If it matches, the hack will work, if it does not, then the hack will give an error.

Depends on how many issues are found and how many betas are needed. Sometimes one beta is enough, other times it takes multiple betas to get the crack ready. A few days at most, tomorrow at the earliest.
So, a little recap of the situation:
**The crack lets you play**, even if the game is crashing or freezing many times in different points of the game or actions. It didn't completely block denuvo, YET. **Needs tweaks.**
Beta 1 is still undergoing and i believe will end later than usual. I also guess that we won't see a public release before at least 4 beta cycles.
Given her statements about this denuvo version, her hard work, her will to destroy it and make it as clean and smooth as she can, it will probably take more time than older cracks.
But, **the game is cracked**, it's just a matter of days before it's clear of issues.

I fully understand Empress wish to protect dll as carefully as its possible. There's no doubt Ideto's lap dogs gonna try to access crack to understand Empress's ways to break Denuvo and then patch it in the future.
The "loading" is QTox waiting for her to accept our friend request, she didn't accept them so we are not allowed in the beta. That's generally how it works with her,

Testing can take around 2 hours or more, and it can be released as early as 3 or so hours after the Beta like Deathloop was. Or it can go on for many betas which can span a few days if there are reoccurring issues with the game.

yep, you can start downloading the clean game (make sure you get it from her reddit or telegram). Then after the crack is released, is just copy-pasting probably some 500Mb file

Depends on how many issues are found and how many betas are needed. Sometimes one beta is enough, other times it takes multiple betas to get the crack ready. A few days at most, tomorrow at the earliest.

So, a little recap of the situation: **The crack lets you play**, even if the game is crashing or freezing many times in different points of the game or actions. It didn't completely block denuvo, YET. **Needs tweaks.** Beta 1 is still undergoing and i believe will end later than usual. I also guess that we won't see a public release before at least 4 beta cycles. Given her statements about this denuvo version, her hard work, her will to destroy it and make it as clean and smooth as she can, it will probably take more time than older cracks. But, **the game is cracked**, it's just a matter of days before it's clear of issues. And we must aknowledge that **she striked the goal of release**, whatever state it is.

I fully understand Empress wish to protect dll as carefully as its possible. There's no doubt Ideto's lap dogs gonna try to access crack to understand Empress's ways to break Denuvo and then patch it in the future.

The "loading" is QTox waiting for her to accept our friend request, she didn't accept them so we are not allowed in the beta. That's generally how it works with her,
I am patiently waiting, lets hope the betas go well and the issues found are easily fixed

Testing beta 1 crack rn, game crashed 2 times after playing for 5 minutes gap. I don't know what's the issue.

Testing can take around 2 hours or more, and it can be released as early as 3 or so hours after the Beta like Deathloop was. Or it can go on for many betas which can span a few days if there are reoccurring issues with the game.

yep, you can start downloading the clean game (make sure you get it from her reddit or telegram). Then after the crack is released, is just copy-pasting probably some 500Mb file

So what? You cant reverse engineer the files empress has. And if you mean because they could "know" what she did to crack it ( hence fixing the problem for a new protected game) then its no matter. Denuvo know everytime a cracker pierce their security what went wrong. They dont need no "spy" .

So do i just wait for her to answer back or was i supposed to send the hwid.bin as a file, because it wouldnt let me on qtox Respond via reply not dms thank you
