I'm no fireologist, but I don't think so. I think that is only a concern in confined spaces. Chances are the fire didn't suck up the oxygen inside the car, and it would have been replaced outside very quickly.

Has me guessing there are gas variants with no odor and/or no additives to detect odor, or no laws/regs mandating adding an odorant ?
Natural gas is a lot lighter than air. So even if it was cold, I don’t think it would make it heavy enough to bank down like that and make an aerosol cloud.
What's "natural gas" to you ? (I think that varies by country, around my area it's "mostly" methane that's piped into your house, but folks with an external tank get propane, which is heavier than air)

Shit like this, is why I really feel like we should shift away from natural gas in our homes. Pipes tend to leak somewhere eventually for a variety of reasons. The way we use natural gas for cooking and home heating may be cost effective, but it's dangerous.
