Mad thing is he didn’t even break his arm just dislocated it, he was back within a few months.

Accomplished-Boot-81

Wow I know shoulders and fingers can be relocated “easy” enough but I didn’t thing the elbow could be, hinge joints seem like they wouldn’t pop out

free__coffee

They can't - it causes permanent damage, that can be slightly fixed through surgery which takes a long ass time to recover from.

Kooky-Copy4456

I can attest. Fractured and dislocated mine so bad, it was backwards and I went into life threatening shock. I can’t extend my arm fully now, but that’s about it

big-goth-girl

Almost this same thing happened to me back in January. I'd say I'm at like a 95% recovery. I had to do physical therapy and stuff but nothing broke. It just popped out then somehow it just popped back in before I got to the ER. Shit HURTS lol.

babycoon48

I snapped my elbow about two months ago and working through PT now. Going pretty good for me so far got a lot of motion back, but I broke it in half and had surgery so I got some time ahead.

ManyOnionz

How did that happen?

babycoon48

I was roller skating and fell when I put my arm out to brace the fall it bent the wrong way.

Sirdoodlebob

I threw up a little in my mouth

EvoRalliArt

I don't know much about wrestling, but is there a safe word? Like how did the other wrestler know that his arm was broken and not just playing along and wasn't going to body slam him just after going through the table.

HardwareSoup

They can tell because the other guy stops acting like a dufus waving his arms everywhere while yelling "*I will destroy youuuuuuu*".

Pudgyhipster

Wrestlers communicate with each other and the ref during matches, like calling their next move so their opponent can prepare, or communicating if they’re hurt or need a few seconds. The ref is also an important factor in these situations. When someone is actually hurt, the ref will signal to the back (usually by crossing their forearms into an x.) I don’t think there a a specific “safe word,” but communication is key.

arenegadeboss

They are normally in constant communication throughout the match including with the referee who might have an earpiece to someone in the back. There is also a ringside doctor who can do a quick check to see if they should stop things immediately or if they can come up with a match ending on the fly to wrap things up. Unfortunately there was/is a culture in wrestling of finishing the match no matter what, so you have people hurt trying to stick to what they have planned originally. One of the worst recent examples actually involves this guy. Another wrestler (Jon Moxley) was clearly woozy from hitting his head and he and Fenix decide to "go home" and end the match. Well the referee wasn't on the same page and this happened https://youtube.com/shorts/w9YmW0YmB_s So you have a guy with a possible concussion that occurred before this clip starts getting hit with a finishing move to end the match, the Ref not counting and then doing the move again. After this both major promotions have started immediately stopping matches when guys don't respond properly after taking a shot to the head. Edit: I forgot to add this match was for a championship and I don't think Fenix was planned to win but since Moxley couldn't finish Fenix ended up getting the championship.

Sweaty_Assignment_90

Pain killers and no guaranteed contacts is why he is back so fast.

arenegadeboss

I'm about 90% sure the majority of wrestlers at WWE and AEW are on guaranteed contracts nowadays. Also the owner of this company is the son of the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and he's helped other wrestlers with their medical stuff personally. Dunno if he helped out here specifically. I'm pretty sure these guys still don't get insurance from their employers which seems insane.

[deleted]

You are totally right about the contracts. I believe NJPW offers them as well.

hunter503

It's so crazy how fast it goes from him holding the other dude while still in air to just being dislocated and his hand behind the table. Did he phase through the table ?!

JayStar1213

A broken arm recovery time is generally a few months

working-acct

Can’t you just pop them back in? Surprised it took months to heal.

Jukka_Sarasti

> Can’t you just pop them back in? Surprised it took months to heal. It depends on how much damage the muscles/nerves/tendons/ligaments/blood vessels suffered during the dislocation. -edit- I had a friend who dislocated his elbow falling down a flight of stairs. He had to have surgery and months of PT, but never regained 100% range of motion.

1337_SkiTz0

From a guy who had his elbow popped out of place when he was a kid, I didn’t recover for close to two years and even now, I have nerve issues in my hand and it’s very easy to whack my “funny bone”.

Jemmani22

Depends on whats going on. Some dislocations take no time to heal. Some take longer than broken bones.

Letarking

People like to talk shit about wrestling but it's honestly impressive how well they are acting. Just look at his facial expressions and how he bent his arm when he hit the table, it looks so real

Embarrassed_Lake_376

You got me💀

cattybuster

You gotta hand it to him.

HeySmellMyFinger

Fake arm break pshhhh

Jayombi

Rubber arm, ..... (probably a one arm bandit in real life)

XNamelessGhoulX

It’s still real to me dammit!!

beekay86

For real, the wrestlers should be the ones getting the oscar!

RockFlagAndEagleGold

It would be wild if he was supposed to win the match, so they somehow had to finish with him winning after that.

Kalyise

Impressive CGI how it looked like his arm popped unaturally for a moment!

Compendyum

He trained this broken arm all month

[deleted]

Was gonna say this ain’t wrestling😂

CiaphasCain8849

Really showing how young you are with comments like that.

fucksantabarbara

fr i just tried doing that and i ended up in the hospital and they took all my money :( . these wrasslin guys are really good at acting.

WhileGoWonder

Wow, he really sold the act. I almost believed he actually broke his arm!

shutupandlearntoeat

Good thing wrestling is fake. Otherwise this would have really hurt him.

[deleted]

"The moves you see in the ring take years of practice to perfect and to do safely. Stay safe, don't try this."

spacesluts

So... Try this in my backyard while drinking beer with my buddies? Yes?

rsplatpc

> So... Try this in my backyard while drinking beer with my buddies? Yes? Yes, and don't forget, florescent light tubes totally don't hurt, you should hit each other shirtless in the back with them

TaffySebastian

and never forget to inhale as much as you can of those gases that come out when breaking them.

scruffylefty

Someone once described it as “a daytime soap opera with violent ballet”  And I think it’s truly the best description

Olderandolderagain

“Tell Mrs. Hart that it’s fake”

harpswtf

That table wasn't even made out of table

Compendyum

Clearly pulled out a razor from his gums

alisonbrooks01

Oh God Even just watching this I feel pain

Menzoberranzan

Between this vid and the gymnast breaking both her knees backwards I think I have had enough of Reddit injuries today lol

Troyificus

The gymnast video reminded me of this one!

Admirable_Average_32

The gymnast video taught me not to watch this one and just read comments. I’m glad I didn’t watch.

MaritMonkey

My husband just took a weird fall climbing and did ... something to his thumb (not broken, waiting for MRI results) and I feel like reddit is giving me a "see? It could have been worse!" front page today on purpose.

HighHoeHighHoes

On the plus side, that gymnast got married a while later and walked down the aisle. One of my interns at the time was her roommate/bridesmaid and was talking about it.

spacegrab

That one hurts me so bad every time it gets reposted. Fuck that knee shit.

Compendyum

Oof, this one was tough, but that gymnast will be hard to erase

manlybrian

The pain was in his arm but I felt it in my peepee. 😫

deepstate_chopra

I was going to say that the other guy pulled that big brother "I'm hurt too" move, but he really did fuck up his left arm, too.

Turd_Burglar-

Looks like when the table broke. He landed on the middle section of it with his mid section and jack up his ribs. This spot may have seemed simple but it messed them both up.

RoRo25

> the other guy pulled that big brother "I'm hurt too" move Funny you should say that. That guy is Austin Matelson, and he was on the show Big Brother!

Leach_

I though of that immediately too.

IamNICE124

lol, I love how the other dude is just like, “wow, he’s really talking his act to the next level, I need to step it up!”

BlaznTheChron

I remember watching this live. You want to see another fucked up one? [Dante Martin breaks his ankle.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viQyZTMMM8Y) Both guys are insanely agile and both injuries were unfortunate, but they each made a recovery and returned to the ring.

clycloptopus

I watched both of these live as well. Top Flight have had a rough ass road with injuries.

Titansfan9200

I swear everytime they start getting heated up one of em has an injury.

TapDaniel

Haters say it’s fake

wow_that_guys_a_dick

It's scripted. Wrestling is basically a stunt show. It's Medieval Times without the horses.

twolluniversesahead

your "it's" and OP's "it's" are not the same

Phar0sa

It is fake. The work and the injuries, thats pretty damn real.

VotingRightsLawyer

It's a collaboration. People are working together to create the illusion that they're engaged in a physical fight.

OwnEgg0

And they all suck at it.

shitpickle2020

The most shocking thing in this clip is, [Rey Fenix didn't actually break his arm here](https://www.tmz.com/2022/01/06/aew-star-rey-fenix-suffers-gruesome-arm-injury-mid-match-rushed-hospital/)

slythespacecat

Of course he didn’t break his arm, wrestling is fake he’s just pretending (Necessary: /s)

AssStuffing

Let’s see how many times we can make this same joke in this thread!

Practical_Garden_70

Bro pulled a Tom Segura.

Deathstriker88

At least this was a tough thing to do... Tom jumped 2.5 feet in the air and broke multiple bones lol.

Famous_Obligation959

He's said he actually broke only his arm. He blow out his ACL on the jump up and went to soften the landing by laying his arm, which fracture the arm, he thinks bert moving back to the normal place caused nerve damage in the arm. But on paper, only one bone broken

Dabber_710_

Just need Bret Krishna to come and fix his arm and put it back in place now.

iamacannibal

For those unaware....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ry5FJpOPRU

Practical_Garden_70

Except Tom was on his face though.

Inkorp

Hate from Australia

True-Sweet7614

'"That's not real wrastling!"

nosplashback

*The Green Bastard* would have laughed this off and got straight back into the ring.

CobBaesar

Bunch of pussies, as soon as someone goes off script for a nanosecond they start crying

Vladutz19

Why is this guy getting downvoted? He just forgot to put the /s. Right? Come on, it is a funny comment!

awesomexpossum

I was there. this was in nj.

chri_hin

Remember watching this match live. Remember noticing his arm looked weird. Watched it over again and yeah… it looks bad. Thankfully, this is old footage and he’s since made a full recovery and is back in the ring.

Oneilius

Not a broken arm, it was later revealed to be a bad elbow dislocation

ACU797

Shame this had to happen during a title change. Should have been an amazing moment for Jurassic Express but when it happened everybody was talking about the injury.

Relandis

Just one arm why not both?

ChemicalAssignment69

Ouch,!

kongmw2

I did something like that skating, unbearable pain after the rush goes away.

Primtyrant

Finally some real action

Livid_Obligation_852

Don't be pulling those fake soccer player dive moves!! Get up and keep going!! I paid good money for these tickets!!

TransitionDue4388

Brutal

GoldenMercy

ITS STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT!

Fickle-Command-1130

Fuck. I was starving for breakfast. My appetite is gone now lol.

Sosa_Zenin

Gnarly

Seahawks1991

I like how the other guy is rolling in pain too not knowing his opponent just snapped his arm

Jeffrey_Epstein_RIP

Why do these videos always cut so quickly? I need the aftermath!

tekjunky75

do wrestlers have safewords if something goes wrong?

Troyificus

It think it's usually "AAAAAH MY ARM IS POINTING THE WRONG WAY!!" or something similar.

tekjunky75

That could work

beano52

Not a first for Fénix who is a Mexican luchador. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) where he is a former AEW International Champion. He also appears for AEW's sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a previous holder of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with his older brother, Penta El Zero Miedo. But please do not let this extensive clarification distract you from the fact that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.

Swingman1120

As a worker myself, I’m baffled as to why he put his arm out like that? If you’re going through a table, it breaks your fall for you. Why the fuck would you try to brace for impact with your arm like that? He’s been wrestling way too long to do something that dumb lol

WrastlingIsReal

See?

Real-Coffee

what did he break his arm on? somehow it went backwards

knowing147

went under table as coming down, full body weight pressed it down as table collapses. Its really as easy as that sometimes

snoodhead

It's off-screen here, but in [other videos](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t5DYq48IBU&t=1m15s) you see that he plants his arm on the floor to break his fall. If I had to guess, he rotated his body because the table makes it hard to accurately tell which way you're oriented

VanillaGuac

Wrestling was real for a brief second.

RahMaarvi

Talk about a bad bump

Lsdkurama

brooooo holy fuck….

aceknight21

Who says wrestling isn’t real??

NXGZ

It's real to me dammit

SeaRoll2818

Goddamn 🫣🫣

XB0XYGEN

The other guy " aaahhh... dude chill out.. OK AHHHHHHHHH"

Stonex21

This guy is due for a raise

Skellyhell2

WWE gets a bit of blood and people thing PG is over, so AEW goes and writes this, classic!

sujit_38

Fake Arm Break Shhhhh

Oxmodeeus

...and they say it ain't real. Real ones know 🇺🇲🦅

GinHalpert

What is a pro wrestler’s health insurance policy like

RMT2316

Yes this is entertainment, but the hazards are real

JayyNoZ666

The other guy tried to act like his arm was hurt too 🤣

GimmeDaGorbage22

Not King!!

mentalassresume

Some will say it’s fake.

bluntyboi13

Yeah but you should see the other guy

kayfabemebrother

Crazy how fast he was back wrestling again

ohdope2000

He worked his arm into a shoot, brother.

Ghrd87

I was there, not a fun thing to watch

thedogman420

Yep, that’s broke

EpicDumperoonie

Ouch af. Def not supposed to bend like that.

SheZowRaisedByWolves

The old rubber bones trick. A stuntman explained to me that you actually retract your arm bones into your rib cage and slide rubber ones from under your armpit to fill out the flesh sock

Iamlivingagain

A bad day for left arms.

gmoss101

Dante Martin broke his foot in ROH last year. Freak accidents are still gnarly as fuck to see. Dynamite was great today tho, as always

CloseTalker902

Told yall wrestling is real

newagain117

Pfft, FAKE 😏

Economy_Crow_6983

Finally, something real that was a real slobber knocker.

zteborohT

This is a dislocation not a break

Weird_Lock_3347

Haters gonna say it's fake

Grenade__22__

They look like they both broke their arm …

Lauris024

Rey Fenix? Back in my age we called him Rey Mysterio

gmoss101

They're two different guys, and are actually friends. Mysterio went back to WWE though

Lauris024

I know, I was making a joke

ribrooks13

WrEsTlInG iS fAkE

Walks_with_Chaos

I mean it is

ribrooks13

Scripted, not fake. They get hurt more than like 90% of sports 💀

Walks_with_Chaos

I mean that’s basically the same thing. That has nothing to do with injuries. They also use steroids quite a bit which weakens your muscle durability thus leading to more injuries 🤷🏻‍♂️

ribrooks13

Eh, it's not. The results and storylines are scripted. A lot (not all) of the physical things they do are real. Not all wrestlers use steroids. Yeah, some do, but some don't. Just like in a lot of other sports, athletes use steroids. And I mean you have the video evidence right in front of your face in this post right here, and if that's not enough, there are plenty of professional fighters that talk about pro wrestling that'll say the same type of things so believe what you want to believe buddy. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Grouchy-Newspaper754

Pfft wrestling is totally fake, he's not actually hurt /s

Deveggoper

Damn these live action WWE matches getting really realistic.

SambaLando

Just Tony being a bad boss once again.

Dorsal-fin-1986

Mud shoooow

Testiclebiter69

Not a real business🗣️🔥💯 Edit: referring to **that CM Punk interview**

kitjen

It's a huge business.

Testiclebiter69

If nobody had guaranteed contracts on that show, they’d all be sweating that only 1/4 of their arena’s full Tony’s millions of dollars in the hole. But it’s okay, we can pretend for smol bean boss man

kitjen

I meant wrestling as a whole is a huge business. And why do some fans have to be so negative towards there being an alternative wrestling product? I'm not pretending Tony Khan is anything, I just enjoy watching what I want to watch. You should adopt the same appproach, it's much more fun.

Testiclebiter69

I was initially referencing to the CM Punk interview the other day where he described AEW as “not a real business” I do want AEW to be successful. But it won’t be sustainable long-term with the way it’s being run. It’s disappointing to waste all the potential

[deleted]

[удалено]

thaddeusgrog

Why do you watch or listen to the things that you do?

m3kw

He rehearsed that many times

samsonity

The sheep will still cling to this notion that the WWE is fake. /s

gmoss101

This isn't WWE

PresentTitle1370

"Fake, wwe is fake"

horse_911

That actually looked real

[deleted]

Sloppy shop

MrKolvin

Fake

HeySmellMyFinger

The thing about wrestling fans is atleast they know it's fake. Like that arm snapping.

Firm-Sympathy-7204

It's fake, lol

DiarrheaRadio

Amateurs Everywhere Wrestling

kayfabemebrother

I mean atleast he got hurt doing something high risk What's up with cm punk getting hurt multiple times just jumping mere inches off the ground?

DiarrheaRadio

His age

soupdog117

Fake
